The Sun King's Secret Pain

In this uniquely intimate episode, Henrik takes us on a meandering journey through his thoughts on the eve of a significant political event.

With his characteristic blend of humor and contemplation, he explores everything from Game of Thrones' peculiar fashion choices to historical French monarchs with embarrassing ailments.

As the episode unfolds, Henrik ponders the connection between all humans throughout history through our shared view of the moon, makes a bold prediction about future events, and reflects on his own past misadventures in cultural exchange.

Through it all, his soothing voice and gentle observations create a perfect environment for drifting off to sleep, reminding us that in this moment, what happens, happens - and right now, there is nothing we can do but rest.

[00:00:00] Hi Sleepy, just a very quick note before we start today's episode. Do you want to listen to this podcast without the ads? Then you absolutely can. Just subscribe to Fall Asleep with Henrik Plus and to do so you can just click the link in the podcast description and it'll be fixed. See you there.

[00:00:23] Hi and welcome to Fall Asleep with Henrik. I'm Henrik and you're sleepy and it is what it is. What happens happens and right now there is nothing we can do. So let's go.

[00:00:44] Hi Sleepy. Hi and welcome to this very weird and shy podcast. Shy in the sense that I am not making it easy to describe what it is I do exactly.

[00:01:08] But the main purpose of this podcast is to put you to sleep. To make you distracted and make you forget about whatever is keeping you up, I guess.

[00:01:27] My name is Henrik StÄl and I am your host on this, at least in the US, very stressful evening. Well, it's a stressful evening because in the US it's the night before the day of election.

[00:01:54] And for me, it's the morning of the day of the US election. So I'm not going to make this a political episode because I'm no politician.

[00:02:08] But it's the thing that people get annoyed with me saying that I care about the outcome of the American election because mind your own business.

[00:02:24] Kind of that sort of argument. Well, it sort of is my business because you guys are the most powerful country in the world.

[00:02:36] Well, according to a lot of measurements anyway. And whenever there's turbulence in the US, that usually ripples throughout the world.

[00:02:49] And I mean, I care a lot about my own country and my own policies and the well-being of the citizens around me, you know.

[00:03:01] But I tend to fear the ripples sometimes stemming from the US because it's a sort of a concentrated situation over there.

[00:03:21] And although I'm not American and I don't live in the US, I think about the US a lot.

[00:03:29] And the same goes for, I think, every other country in the world for good and bad.

[00:03:38] So to me, this is a, well, this day is charged.

[00:03:45] And I can only imagine if you live in the US and if you plan to vote or have already voted,

[00:03:53] then I guess, well, to put it mildly, we're in for, I guess, a roller coaster today or tomorrow, depending on where you are in the world.

[00:04:11] So, but I'm not going to make this a worrisome political episode.

[00:04:17] I don't know what I'm going to talk about and you don't really have to care.

[00:04:22] You can just put me on and drift away or you can listen.

[00:04:29] You can do as you please.

[00:04:33] I'm Henrik and today I've been driving around town shopping for a microphone.

[00:04:43] Not the one you're listening to my voice through at the moment.

[00:04:48] Well, you're not listening to my voice through a microphone, but the very tool that makes you hear me is, of course, a microphone.

[00:04:58] But I've gathered that I need to have an emergency solution for whenever my microphone doesn't work,

[00:05:10] which sometimes happens with digital stuff, you know, and you can't really have a conversation with your digital tool.

[00:05:21] That's one thing I really, I'm really looking forward to when it comes to generative AI,

[00:05:27] because whenever that sort of stuff is implemented in everyday digital tools,

[00:05:35] then I can just ask my recording device, what's wrong with you?

[00:05:40] Why can't you, why don't you want to sync with the mics or whatever?

[00:05:44] Right now I can't.

[00:05:45] I just get error messages and I am in need of support and stuff.

[00:05:50] And that sometimes happens.

[00:05:53] And whenever that happens, I'm, well, it can't happen.

[00:06:01] I can't afford it anymore.

[00:06:03] Because right now this podcast and my Swedish equivalent of this podcast

[00:06:08] and also my other Swedish podcasts,

[00:06:12] they are my lifeline.

[00:06:16] They are my income.

[00:06:18] And I can't really afford not being able to record.

[00:06:25] I should put that on a t-shirt.

[00:06:28] I can't afford not record.

[00:06:32] I can't afford to not record Fall Asleep with Henrik 2024.

[00:06:40] It struck me the other day that this year is almost over.

[00:06:46] I mean, it doesn't feel that way right now,

[00:06:48] but give it a month and then we will start to summarize whatever happened.

[00:06:57] It's always a very charged moment as well.

[00:07:02] The summarizing of the year moments.

[00:07:08] It's weird because a year isn't really anything at all.

[00:07:12] It's just random, sort of random.

[00:07:17] I mean, of course it has to do with the seasons,

[00:07:19] but it's sort of random.

[00:07:24] Or maybe not the seasons.

[00:07:26] It has to do with the Earth's rotation and journey around the sun.

[00:07:34] But anyway, it's such a random number of days.

[00:07:39] 365 days.

[00:07:42] And then we just decided that this has been a year.

[00:07:48] I mean, a year could be one and a half rotations around the sun

[00:07:53] or two rotations or five.

[00:07:58] Is it Game of Thrones where winters can last for decades and summers as well?

[00:08:09] And the fact that winter is coming.

[00:08:13] I think that's very exciting.

[00:08:15] It's give that to Mr. Martin.

[00:08:21] He really succeeded in creating a very good narrative element.

[00:08:30] The fact that you have this very fluffy, unnamed sort of being called winter.

[00:08:43] And then you just hint that it's coming.

[00:08:46] You know, it's a very good story element.

[00:08:52] That's about the only thing I really enjoyed about Game of Thrones.

[00:08:57] I don't know about you and I don't want to mess anything up.

[00:09:00] But I really think that Game of Thrones is such a...

[00:09:06] I mean, not the books because I haven't...

[00:09:08] I'm afraid to say I haven't read the books.

[00:09:13] I have a problem with very ambitious world-building projects

[00:09:20] where guys, mainly guys, write to great extent about family lines,

[00:09:30] bloodlines and houses and such.

[00:09:33] I'm not really interested in fantasy politics.

[00:09:36] It doesn't really do it for me, you know?

[00:09:39] I can get started.

[00:09:43] You know, I get enthusiastic when I think about the fact that George Martin was like sitting

[00:09:52] for years at the end, just planning this world, thinking about it, building it in his mind.

[00:10:01] It's a...

[00:10:03] I mean, I admire the ambition.

[00:10:06] I don't know.

[00:10:09] But sometimes it gets too much, you know, structure and too little...

[00:10:21] I can't really see myself in any of the characters.

[00:10:29] It has to do with values that is so foreign to me, like the dignification of one's house, you know?

[00:10:37] The honor that needs to be protected of one's family and such.

[00:10:46] The hunger for power.

[00:10:51] Yeah, I could relate maybe to the hunger for power.

[00:10:54] I mean, that's a main human thing, but there's other stuff as well.

[00:10:59] You know, the very polite and high-pitched whispering and a court language, you know,

[00:11:13] when they speak like they don't really say what they mean and they have these false smiles.

[00:11:21] And that sexuality is like woven into these very prude and polite and ceremonial even ways of interacting with each other.

[00:11:36] But there's something sexual like beneath it all.

[00:11:40] Like every woman in Game of Thrones carries, you know, like just a thin robe and then nothing beneath.

[00:11:49] And it's very easy to just slip out of it.

[00:11:52] And that's so weird to me because sometimes they are traveling and they are living under harsh conditions with cold and rain and such.

[00:12:03] But yet any time they just come into a castle and they need to seduce someone,

[00:12:10] they just slip out of that silk-thin robe thing.

[00:12:14] And this is like totally accepted.

[00:12:19] And the men are like carrying these huge armors, even when they're inside in the safety of their own castle.

[00:12:30] Don't get me wrong.

[00:12:32] I admire the production.

[00:12:36] I mean, it's very well done.

[00:12:40] But I don't really get engaged.

[00:12:46] Yeah, of course, there's this episode, The Red Wedding.

[00:12:48] And I, of course, like any other person, were like gripped by that episode because it was totally unexpected.

[00:12:58] You know, I'm not going to spoil it if you haven't seen it.

[00:13:02] But it's, that's that, you know.

[00:13:07] I don't feel anything when I look at the destiny of Jon Snow or Daenerys or whomever.

[00:13:19] It's not, it's not engaging.

[00:13:26] And that, I don't really get that thing that you're so hungry for power.

[00:13:34] Like in that very narrow, literal sense, like sitting on that iron throne.

[00:13:41] First of all, that throne looks awfully uncomfortable.

[00:13:47] Imagine, imagine sitting on that for days at end.

[00:13:51] And, I mean, you would get, you know, all sorts of pinched nerves and stuff in your bottom.

[00:14:02] In your butt.

[00:14:04] But your butt nerves would be pinched.

[00:14:08] And you would be living with all sorts of chronic pain conditions.

[00:14:15] And then, it's always dark in these castles.

[00:14:23] And then there's these dragons that just, yeah, in the House of Dragons series, the prequel, so to speak.

[00:14:33] There you have these living relationships with the dragons.

[00:14:39] And I find that kind of enjoyable and exciting even.

[00:14:47] Because it gives an element of mystery to the whole thing.

[00:14:53] Still, they keep this very everyday thing that you need to take the dragon out for a ride, you know.

[00:15:00] Like if they were, like if they were dogs or something.

[00:15:03] I need to take Pluffy out so that she can, you know, mark her territories or whatever.

[00:15:11] And one of the boys, one of the, is it Targaryen or is it, I don't know.

[00:15:18] One of the princes have this, the prince with a patch over his one eye.

[00:15:25] He has this huge old dragon lady.

[00:15:32] And, I mean, it's very well done and it's very cool.

[00:15:35] And I kind of enjoy the prequel better than I enjoyed these, the series, the original series.

[00:15:44] Again, I'm talking about the series, the show here because I haven't, as I said, I haven't read the books.

[00:15:50] And I don't want you to think that this podcast is all about fantasy elements.

[00:15:55] Because I know that I, last week I guess I talked about elves.

[00:16:02] I know.

[00:16:03] It's crazy, isn't it?

[00:16:05] I tend to, I tend to focus on stuff that has been on my mind.

[00:16:14] But it's, it's, sorry, it's kind of, it's kind of weird that I don't get attached because, for instance, a contemporary show that is about contemporary stuff.

[00:16:37] Succession, you know, this hit show that everybody watched.

[00:16:42] If you haven't seen it, it's worth your while, I think.

[00:16:49] But that is about power as well and the need for power and the need for, yeah, well, mostly need for power and revenge maybe.

[00:16:59] And control.

[00:17:02] And Game of Thrones is that as well.

[00:17:05] But I think that Game of Thrones, the show that is, gets lost in world building instead of showing us the people that make up this world.

[00:17:21] I mean, I don't really care if you say that someone is driven by hunger for power or hunger for revenge or whatever.

[00:17:32] I don't really care if you just tell me that as a storyteller.

[00:17:36] Because that doesn't give me any heebie-jeebies.

[00:17:41] That just gives me the knowledge, okay?

[00:17:45] So her motivation is to sit on the Iron Throne.

[00:17:49] But I don't know who she is.

[00:17:50] I can't see her weaknesses.

[00:17:52] I can't see her struggles, really.

[00:17:56] Except for maybe the physical ones, because there's a lot of physical struggles.

[00:18:01] But mostly it's like talking heads.

[00:18:04] And I'm not necessarily against talking heads in TV shows.

[00:18:11] Succession is like almost just that.

[00:18:15] Talking heads.

[00:18:18] To clarify, talking heads is just what it is.

[00:18:23] What it implies.

[00:18:25] Two or more heads talking to each other.

[00:18:30] But it's so much more well done in succession.

[00:18:35] Because it's like I can see the people and I can see their...

[00:18:40] Most of all, I can see their weaknesses and their longings.

[00:18:45] And their fears.

[00:18:49] The fear of failing, for instance.

[00:18:52] And I can't really...

[00:18:53] I don't get why we can't show this in fantasy environments.

[00:18:58] Why can't we just show...

[00:19:03] No, I'm not going to make this into another fantasy episode.

[00:19:06] I'm sorry.

[00:19:09] I just don't get why...

[00:19:11] Just because there are dragons and some sort of magical medieval setting.

[00:19:18] Why there can't be someone to identify with.

[00:19:25] Why does everything have to be this distant ink?

[00:19:34] You know?

[00:19:35] This distant pergament of unreadable text.

[00:19:44] I just don't...

[00:19:47] It doesn't do it for me.

[00:19:49] And I think I'm sad about that.

[00:19:51] Because I really enjoy the tools that fantasy provides.

[00:19:57] You can tell so much about the world.

[00:20:00] Like for instance, this upcoming presidential election.

[00:20:06] You can really talk about that in terms that everyone can consume.

[00:20:14] Well, unless they truly hate fantasy settings.

[00:20:19] Then of course it's problematic.

[00:20:24] But I don't really buy into the thing that fantasy doesn't tell any real stories.

[00:20:30] It's just that...

[00:20:32] And that it's dead as a genre.

[00:20:36] Because I know...

[00:20:37] I know I'm the first to admit that...

[00:20:41] You know?

[00:20:42] I think maybe we have seen enough of...

[00:20:45] You know?

[00:20:46] As I've mentioned before...

[00:20:49] You know?

[00:20:52] These noble elves and Irish dwarves and dirty, lustful humans and unknowingly jolly hobbits.

[00:21:09] You know?

[00:21:10] Maybe we've had enough of that for a while.

[00:21:13] But there's so much more to fantasy than what that implies.

[00:21:20] I think that we really could tell great stories that talk to people today without losing ourselves in the swamp of classical fantasy.

[00:21:38] Well, we can even give it a try, you know?

[00:21:41] At classical fantasy.

[00:21:42] But we can still tell stories that moves us.

[00:21:47] And the thing that fairy tales overall gives us is that we get the ability to get close to stuff that normally, outside of the story, outside of the fairy tale, it hurts.

[00:22:01] It's hurtful for us to get close to these topics.

[00:22:09] Like, for instance, one delusional demagogue and one really quite ordinary business-as-usual politician that fights it out in this really important and extremely odd way.

[00:22:33] Weird presidential election.

[00:22:39] For the outside world, it's like this riddle that two candidates with such different inputs is actually on equal ground right now.

[00:22:58] It's such a weird sort of dreamlike state when we can't really tell if it's a big joke, if it's a setup of sorts.

[00:23:17] Like, how can this guy be at this position?

[00:23:24] And on the other hand, it's such a great symbol.

[00:23:30] If it wasn't so tragic in a way, it would be such a great symbol of, like, where we are.

[00:23:35] Not just as far as the U.S. goes.

[00:23:40] Like, everyone in the world, we're impacted by this.

[00:23:43] At least the Western world.

[00:23:47] Of course, I'm not the one to really speak of these things because I'm a dude living in the Western world, you know.

[00:23:58] I don't know anything.

[00:24:00] But it's sort of like that we are at this pinnacle, or at least we're getting close to the very edge of this old way of thinking versus, like...

[00:24:17] The paradigms of new ways of looking at the world and looking at our place on this rock in space.

[00:24:34] It's like the end battle, in a way.

[00:24:37] Although I don't imagine, like, the end battle being this one moment when everything gets to be another thing.

[00:24:50] I think it's more outdrawn, elongated than that.

[00:25:02] I think that...

[00:25:04] Okay, so I'm going to give you a prediction.

[00:25:08] Okay, I'm going to do that right now.

[00:25:12] I think that Kamala Harris will win the U.S. presidential election.

[00:25:19] I can say that because if I'm wrong, then who cares, right?

[00:25:26] There's a few thousand people listening to me, and I mean, you guys probably know more than I do.

[00:25:34] So I can give myself that momentum to just say it because it would be very cool if I were right.

[00:25:40] It would be very cool.

[00:25:43] I think that she will win, and then there will be...

[00:25:50] Well, it would be some commotion around that.

[00:25:58] And again, I could be totally wrong, but who cares, right?

[00:26:02] So right now, I'm just going to say it.

[00:26:06] Kamala Harris will win the U.S. presidential election.

[00:26:10] And with that said, I'm not going to apologize for telling you that I don't really know,

[00:26:19] because you know that I don't really know.

[00:26:21] So this is my prediction without having a clue.

[00:26:26] I just have a feeling that aren't we really done with those types of...

[00:26:34] Those types of...

[00:26:38] Aren't we as a world done with these old ways of looking at power,

[00:26:46] where this local strongman is like...

[00:26:53] Always gets elected to lead,

[00:26:56] and weakness is like a sign of...

[00:27:02] Yeah, weakness.

[00:27:04] You know, that he can never show weakness.

[00:27:08] And that's such an old...

[00:27:14] Well, it's almost like when you look at dinosaurs, you know?

[00:27:18] It's impressive, really, and frightening and fascinating

[00:27:23] to see all these quote-unquote great leaders throughout history

[00:27:29] that has displayed huge amounts of power.

[00:27:34] But we don't need that type of power anymore, do we?

[00:27:39] I mean, today we need socially skilled,

[00:27:47] humble, and empathic people.

[00:27:53] And we need several people to work together,

[00:27:58] not one demagogue just pointing the way, you know?

[00:28:04] As when you...

[00:28:06] Here in Sweden, when you pass through, like, parks

[00:28:09] and outside official buildings and stuff,

[00:28:12] there are often old bronze statues

[00:28:16] of historic Swedish kings.

[00:28:21] And they're usually, like, pointing the direction

[00:28:26] in either battle or just more amorphic,

[00:28:32] like, vividly pointing in, like, any random direction.

[00:28:36] And the main message of the statue of the piece of art is

[00:28:41] this man had no doubts.

[00:28:44] He just knew the way, and we followed him,

[00:28:47] and he was a great king and whatever, you know?

[00:28:50] But he was more than a king.

[00:28:53] He was, you know, he was a person that pooped

[00:28:57] and who went the wrong way when he was looking for the diner

[00:29:03] or just, you know, hit his toe on the threshold

[00:29:07] before he was going into the main chamber of the whatever.

[00:29:11] And that...

[00:29:13] The nail just got bent backwards, and that really hurt him.

[00:29:21] One of the...

[00:29:22] I mean, a great example of this is...

[00:29:26] I think it was...

[00:29:29] The sun king in French.

[00:29:32] In French?

[00:29:34] In France.

[00:29:35] He spoke French in France.

[00:29:38] This was during the 1700s, I think.

[00:29:43] The years of the French Revolution.

[00:29:46] I'm not sure here at all, so correct me if I'm wrong,

[00:29:50] but he was like...

[00:29:54] He had this...

[00:29:57] What do you call it?

[00:30:04] The...

[00:30:04] When you had...

[00:30:06] Okay, so I need to explain what this is,

[00:30:08] but I don't want to be too graphic

[00:30:09] because it's disgusting.

[00:30:12] But you know that when you have...

[00:30:15] Like, if you would happen to get the bubonic plague,

[00:30:18] plague, you would get these rash...

[00:30:23] And I'm not talking about a rash.

[00:30:25] I just can't find the English word for whatever that's called.

[00:30:31] The stuff that pops up all over your body.

[00:30:35] The lymph nodes swell up and create these out-pointing marks.

[00:30:44] I don't know what you call it.

[00:30:46] In Sweden, we call it böld.

[00:30:52] Yeah.

[00:30:52] So, he had one of those,

[00:30:54] but it wasn't the bubonic plague,

[00:30:57] the Black Death.

[00:30:59] It wasn't that.

[00:30:59] It was a more, you know, everyday thing.

[00:31:03] He had...

[00:31:05] Well, the hygiene in the rear end of the human being

[00:31:10] at that time, in general, wasn't like...

[00:31:14] I can't imagine they used any form of wet wipes

[00:31:19] or anything like that.

[00:31:20] So, he had some sort of an inflammation

[00:31:23] that had turned into this very painful blister.

[00:31:26] It was a blister.

[00:31:28] Yeah, that was the word.

[00:31:30] Inside his rear end, so to speak.

[00:31:35] Now, this was...

[00:31:36] Keep in mind that this was the sun king, you know?

[00:31:39] He was the king and he was the sun.

[00:31:41] And he was...

[00:31:43] Well, he was not very loved, as it turned out.

[00:31:46] And he was not a very good king.

[00:31:48] But he was like the very epiphany of divinity

[00:31:53] as far as him and the court.

[00:31:57] The court, the...

[00:31:59] Well, the royalties, the noblemen, you know?

[00:32:04] Went.

[00:32:05] So, he couldn't, of course...

[00:32:08] Of course, he couldn't ever have a blister up his bum-bum.

[00:32:13] But he did.

[00:32:16] And it's...

[00:32:17] I mean...

[00:32:18] They had to operate that.

[00:32:20] They had to cut that away.

[00:32:21] And I'm sorry.

[00:32:22] I'm not going to say anything more about that

[00:32:24] because I know it's disgusting.

[00:32:26] And I'm not trying to make you, you know, disgusted here.

[00:32:31] I just...

[00:32:33] I just want to point out that

[00:32:36] all these strongmen that

[00:32:38] quote-unquote knew it all

[00:32:40] and had the solution

[00:32:41] and were of divine origin,

[00:32:45] they're just dudes, you know?

[00:32:48] With like wrinkly little scrotums.

[00:32:52] I'm sorry, but it's true.

[00:32:54] I'm sorry.

[00:32:54] I'm really sorry.

[00:32:55] Maybe this is so out of line.

[00:32:57] I'm sorry.

[00:32:58] But it's true.

[00:33:00] And he had this blister up his bum-bum

[00:33:04] and it hurt like freakishly.

[00:33:10] And then, of course,

[00:33:14] then one day they had to like cut that away

[00:33:17] and he was on this operation table in the 1700s

[00:33:21] with his butt like up in the air

[00:33:25] in front of his, you know, court doctor or whatever.

[00:33:32] Maybe there were a lot of guys

[00:33:33] with wigs standing around

[00:33:36] looking at the Sun King's bum-bum.

[00:33:45] And then they started the procedure

[00:33:48] and then admittedly,

[00:33:50] or I mean, as far as I've heard

[00:33:54] or read,

[00:33:55] I wasn't there,

[00:33:56] so I can't tell you if this actually went down,

[00:34:00] but Sun King,

[00:34:04] Ludwig,

[00:34:04] the,

[00:34:05] I don't know which number,

[00:34:07] he uttered two words

[00:34:09] when the operation started.

[00:34:12] I mean,

[00:34:13] the pain must have been excruciating.

[00:34:16] And he said,

[00:34:18] mon dieu,

[00:34:19] which means

[00:34:20] my gut.

[00:34:22] And,

[00:34:23] I mean,

[00:34:23] that's so,

[00:34:24] I would also say that

[00:34:26] if there were a bunch of doctors

[00:34:28] cutting into my bum-bum

[00:34:29] without any anesthetic,

[00:34:31] I would also be,

[00:34:34] I would also feel inclined to say,

[00:34:36] to call out for my God,

[00:34:39] you know,

[00:34:40] whether or not I believed in him

[00:34:41] or whatever.

[00:34:42] or whatever.

[00:34:45] And so is

[00:34:47] Donald Trump,

[00:34:48] you know,

[00:34:49] this guy who doesn't,

[00:34:50] who can't be wrong.

[00:34:51] He can't be like,

[00:34:52] I mean,

[00:34:53] he doesn't have

[00:34:53] any,

[00:34:56] any flaws.

[00:35:00] And I'm,

[00:35:01] I'm,

[00:35:02] I'm,

[00:35:03] I'm,

[00:35:03] I'm not trying to,

[00:35:05] well,

[00:35:06] maybe I am

[00:35:07] trying to take sides here

[00:35:08] because of,

[00:35:09] obviously,

[00:35:10] I think that it's

[00:35:13] so weird

[00:35:14] that this guy has

[00:35:16] ended up here again.

[00:35:19] I mean,

[00:35:20] I,

[00:35:20] I don't get it.

[00:35:21] I,

[00:35:21] I just don't get it.

[00:35:22] In Sweden,

[00:35:22] this man would be in prison

[00:35:25] and I don't really get it.

[00:35:27] And I don't want to

[00:35:27] cast any blame

[00:35:29] or sit here

[00:35:30] and talk about like,

[00:35:32] like I'm some

[00:35:33] sort of higher

[00:35:34] moral ground

[00:35:36] being thing.

[00:35:38] So,

[00:35:38] don't get me wrong.

[00:35:39] I'm,

[00:35:40] I,

[00:35:40] I don't understand it

[00:35:41] and that's why

[00:35:42] I want to,

[00:35:43] I want to understand it.

[00:35:44] So please,

[00:35:44] if you want to tell me

[00:35:45] if you're American,

[00:35:47] reach out to me,

[00:35:48] write to me

[00:35:49] and tell me about this

[00:35:50] because I,

[00:35:51] I really want to know

[00:35:53] what the dynamics

[00:35:55] of this thing is.

[00:35:58] But I mean,

[00:35:59] if you're,

[00:36:00] I doubt it,

[00:36:01] but if you're one of the

[00:36:02] people who

[00:36:03] votes for

[00:36:04] this guy,

[00:36:06] I'm not

[00:36:07] trying to

[00:36:07] cast any blame.

[00:36:09] I'm not saying that

[00:36:09] you're an idiot

[00:36:10] or anything.

[00:36:11] I don't know.

[00:36:12] But I would like to know,

[00:36:14] don't you get nervous

[00:36:15] when he doesn't

[00:36:16] ever show

[00:36:17] any signs

[00:36:20] of,

[00:36:22] well,

[00:36:22] the signs

[00:36:23] of weakness

[00:36:24] of course

[00:36:24] are there,

[00:36:25] but he never

[00:36:26] admits

[00:36:26] being wrong.

[00:36:29] He never admits

[00:36:30] not being in control.

[00:36:32] He never admits

[00:36:33] having made mistakes

[00:36:35] ever.

[00:36:37] And I,

[00:36:39] don't you get scared?

[00:36:40] because if you saw

[00:36:42] that in some

[00:36:44] random

[00:36:45] dude

[00:36:45] in charge of your,

[00:36:47] I don't know,

[00:36:48] your kid's

[00:36:49] school

[00:36:49] or whatever,

[00:36:50] and this

[00:36:51] headmaster

[00:36:52] at your kid's

[00:36:53] school

[00:36:53] were like

[00:36:55] saying

[00:36:56] the weirdest

[00:36:57] stuff

[00:36:57] and then

[00:36:58] when questioned

[00:37:00] about it

[00:37:01] just didn't

[00:37:01] admit

[00:37:02] of ever

[00:37:02] saying it,

[00:37:04] although it was

[00:37:05] right there

[00:37:06] or

[00:37:06] just

[00:37:09] very arrogantly

[00:37:10] just telling you

[00:37:12] that you're wrong

[00:37:13] for even asking me,

[00:37:16] wouldn't you get

[00:37:16] scared?

[00:37:17] I mean,

[00:37:18] what is it

[00:37:19] with politics

[00:37:20] that makes this

[00:37:21] type of behavior

[00:37:23] suddenly

[00:37:24] okay?

[00:37:25] I just

[00:37:26] don't

[00:37:27] understand it.

[00:37:30] If this was

[00:37:31] a bus driver,

[00:37:32] he would be fired

[00:37:33] like instantly.

[00:37:35] if he was a

[00:37:36] salesman

[00:37:37] like in

[00:37:37] an ordinary

[00:37:38] type of

[00:37:39] setting,

[00:37:40] you know,

[00:37:41] selling insurance

[00:37:43] or whatever,

[00:37:44] he would be fired

[00:37:45] because he would,

[00:37:46] you know,

[00:37:48] he wouldn't

[00:37:50] be able

[00:37:50] to do his job

[00:37:51] or at least

[00:37:53] he wouldn't be able

[00:37:53] to represent

[00:37:54] the firm

[00:37:55] where he was

[00:37:56] working

[00:37:56] because

[00:37:56] his ego

[00:37:58] is so

[00:37:58] huge,

[00:37:59] you know?

[00:38:02] What is it

[00:38:03] with politics

[00:38:04] that makes

[00:38:05] this

[00:38:06] character

[00:38:09] someone

[00:38:10] who can be

[00:38:12] entrusted

[00:38:12] with the

[00:38:14] codes

[00:38:15] for the

[00:38:16] you know?

[00:38:18] I don't want

[00:38:19] to get into it.

[00:38:20] I don't want

[00:38:20] to create some

[00:38:22] this isn't an

[00:38:23] alarmistic

[00:38:25] podcast

[00:38:28] quite the contrary

[00:38:29] although I feel

[00:38:31] that I'm

[00:38:31] drifting into

[00:38:32] this

[00:38:35] yeah

[00:38:37] again

[00:38:37] you don't

[00:38:38] have to listen

[00:38:38] to me

[00:38:38] you don't

[00:38:39] have to take

[00:38:39] anything I say

[00:38:40] serious

[00:38:40] because I

[00:38:41] don't know

[00:38:41] right?

[00:38:42] I'm not

[00:38:44] an expert

[00:38:46] in anything

[00:38:47] really

[00:38:48] I just

[00:38:48] know one

[00:38:49] thing and

[00:38:50] that is

[00:38:50] letting my

[00:38:52] mouth just

[00:38:53] utter

[00:38:54] different words

[00:38:55] in different

[00:38:56] combinations

[00:38:58] and

[00:38:58] ergo

[00:38:59] there's this

[00:39:01] podcast

[00:39:02] podcast

[00:39:03] and my

[00:39:04] aim is

[00:39:04] not for

[00:39:05] you to

[00:39:05] go out

[00:39:06] and vote

[00:39:06] and if

[00:39:07] you haven't

[00:39:08] planned to

[00:39:08] do it

[00:39:09] and such

[00:39:11] there's

[00:39:12] just really

[00:39:12] a few

[00:39:13] thousand of

[00:39:14] you anyway

[00:39:15] and

[00:39:17] but I

[00:39:17] okay no I

[00:39:18] don't want to

[00:39:19] say that

[00:39:19] either

[00:39:19] I want to

[00:39:20] be

[00:39:20] I want to

[00:39:22] tell you

[00:39:22] to go

[00:39:23] out

[00:39:23] and vote

[00:39:24] and I'm

[00:39:25] sorry for

[00:39:25] all you

[00:39:26] non-American

[00:39:27] listeners

[00:39:28] but the

[00:39:30] fact is

[00:39:30] that the

[00:39:31] main part

[00:39:31] of you

[00:39:32] are American

[00:39:33] and this

[00:39:37] topic really

[00:39:38] absorbs me

[00:39:39] these days

[00:39:41] I told

[00:39:44] my daughter

[00:39:44] the other

[00:39:45] day

[00:39:45] what if

[00:39:46] what if

[00:39:47] he

[00:39:47] what if

[00:39:48] he wins

[00:39:50] and she

[00:39:50] said he

[00:39:51] can't win

[00:39:52] he

[00:39:52] he's

[00:39:54] he's a

[00:39:55] convicted felon

[00:39:55] you know

[00:39:57] yeah but

[00:39:58] there are a

[00:39:59] lot of people

[00:40:00] that says

[00:40:01] that

[00:40:01] that doesn't

[00:40:02] matter

[00:40:05] and then

[00:40:08] we went

[00:40:09] silent

[00:40:11] it's

[00:40:12] it's so

[00:40:13] weird

[00:40:16] that words

[00:40:18] I mean

[00:40:19] it doesn't

[00:40:23] matter

[00:40:23] it's

[00:40:23] it doesn't

[00:40:24] seem to

[00:40:24] matter

[00:40:25] that

[00:40:27] millions

[00:40:28] and millions

[00:40:28] of people

[00:40:29] have

[00:40:30] the proof

[00:40:32] of

[00:40:32] his quotes

[00:40:34] and

[00:40:34] his doings

[00:40:36] and his

[00:40:37] mistakes

[00:40:38] we have

[00:40:39] it like

[00:40:40] in our

[00:40:40] pockets

[00:40:41] in our

[00:40:41] phones

[00:40:43] but still

[00:40:44] that doesn't

[00:40:45] matter

[00:40:46] but I think

[00:40:50] that it will

[00:40:50] matter

[00:40:55] we will

[00:40:56] see

[00:40:56] I have

[00:40:57] never

[00:40:57] done this

[00:40:58] before

[00:40:58] I have

[00:40:58] never

[00:40:59] called out

[00:41:00] anything like

[00:41:01] this before

[00:41:02] and

[00:41:07] I give

[00:41:07] this to

[00:41:08] myself

[00:41:08] as a gift

[00:41:09] I guess

[00:41:09] because

[00:41:12] this podcast

[00:41:13] isn't my

[00:41:15] livelihood

[00:41:16] if it were

[00:41:17] I would be

[00:41:18] more careful

[00:41:19] you know

[00:41:21] staying out of

[00:41:22] harm's way

[00:41:23] but right

[00:41:24] now I

[00:41:25] can

[00:41:25] I think

[00:41:26] I can

[00:41:26] give myself

[00:41:29] a little

[00:41:29] room to

[00:41:30] wiggle

[00:41:31] in terms

[00:41:32] of

[00:41:33] experimenting

[00:41:34] with

[00:41:35] what I

[00:41:36] do

[00:41:36] in this

[00:41:37] podcast

[00:41:37] as far

[00:41:38] as content

[00:41:38] goes

[00:41:39] I think

[00:41:45] that

[00:41:47] well maybe

[00:41:48] not a

[00:41:49] landslide

[00:41:49] but I think

[00:41:51] that

[00:41:51] this

[00:41:53] notion

[00:41:54] will be

[00:41:57] even

[00:41:58] I don't

[00:41:59] believe that

[00:42:00] I believe

[00:42:01] that it

[00:42:02] will be

[00:42:02] very uneven

[00:42:03] and

[00:42:04] that it

[00:42:05] will be

[00:42:06] the Democrats

[00:42:06] who win

[00:42:07] this thing

[00:42:09] this could

[00:42:10] be wishful

[00:42:10] thinking

[00:42:11] because of

[00:42:13] my own

[00:42:14] political

[00:42:14] views

[00:42:15] and my

[00:42:16] own need

[00:42:16] for safety

[00:42:17] and

[00:42:18] I mean

[00:42:19] we really

[00:42:20] need

[00:42:20] safety

[00:42:21] or

[00:42:22] safety

[00:42:23] is the

[00:42:23] wrong

[00:42:24] word

[00:42:24] we

[00:42:24] really

[00:42:25] need

[00:42:25] stability

[00:42:26] right

[00:42:26] now

[00:42:26] in the

[00:42:28] world

[00:42:28] because

[00:42:28] there are

[00:42:29] things

[00:42:29] at stake

[00:42:30] that doesn't

[00:42:31] even concern

[00:42:33] any

[00:42:33] particular

[00:42:34] country

[00:42:35] it's just

[00:42:36] us

[00:42:37] you know

[00:42:37] the citizens

[00:42:39] of the world

[00:42:39] we

[00:42:40] who happen

[00:42:41] to be here

[00:42:42] at the same

[00:42:42] time

[00:42:43] do you

[00:42:43] realize

[00:42:44] Sleepy

[00:42:45] how

[00:42:45] rare

[00:42:46] and

[00:42:47] how

[00:42:49] remarkable

[00:42:50] it is

[00:42:50] that you

[00:42:51] and I

[00:42:51] are here

[00:42:52] at the

[00:42:52] same

[00:42:53] time

[00:42:53] do you

[00:42:55] know

[00:42:56] how

[00:42:57] astronomically

[00:43:02] very

[00:43:03] odd

[00:43:04] that is

[00:43:04] that you

[00:43:09] and I

[00:43:11] we're so

[00:43:11] different

[00:43:12] but still

[00:43:13] we're here

[00:43:13] at the

[00:43:14] same

[00:43:14] time

[00:43:16] you're

[00:43:17] listening

[00:43:17] to me

[00:43:17] I'm

[00:43:18] talking

[00:43:18] to you

[00:43:19] how

[00:43:20] come

[00:43:21] we

[00:43:22] don't

[00:43:22] think

[00:43:22] about

[00:43:23] that

[00:43:23] more

[00:43:23] often

[00:43:24] why

[00:43:24] do

[00:43:25] we

[00:43:25] tend

[00:43:26] to just

[00:43:27] think

[00:43:27] about

[00:43:27] everything

[00:43:28] happening

[00:43:29] to us

[00:43:30] in this

[00:43:31] miracle

[00:43:32] world

[00:43:32] I can

[00:43:33] say

[00:43:34] miracle

[00:43:34] without

[00:43:34] making

[00:43:36] it into

[00:43:36] some

[00:43:36] religious

[00:43:37] thing

[00:43:37] I don't

[00:43:38] want to

[00:43:39] force

[00:43:39] anything

[00:43:39] down

[00:43:40] your

[00:43:40] throat

[00:43:41] well

[00:43:41] maybe

[00:43:41] I

[00:43:42] am

[00:43:42] this

[00:43:43] maybe

[00:43:43] this

[00:43:43] episode

[00:43:43] is

[00:44:01] nothing

[00:44:01] that

[00:44:02] you

[00:44:02] and I

[00:44:03] get to

[00:44:04] breathe

[00:44:04] the same

[00:44:06] air

[00:44:06] get to

[00:44:09] listen

[00:44:09] to the

[00:44:09] same

[00:44:11] sound

[00:44:12] of the

[00:44:13] same

[00:44:13] wind

[00:44:14] well

[00:44:15] maybe

[00:44:15] not

[00:44:15] the

[00:44:16] same

[00:44:16] wind

[00:44:16] but

[00:44:17] when

[00:44:17] we

[00:44:17] look

[00:44:17] up

[00:44:19] you

[00:44:19] and

[00:44:19] I

[00:44:20] we

[00:44:20] see

[00:44:20] the

[00:44:20] same

[00:44:20] moon

[00:44:21] well

[00:44:24] it

[00:44:24] depends

[00:44:25] if

[00:44:26] we're

[00:44:26] if

[00:44:26] you're

[00:44:27] in the

[00:44:28] southern

[00:44:28] hemisphere

[00:44:30] when

[00:44:31] the

[00:44:31] moon

[00:44:31] is

[00:44:32] above

[00:44:32] the

[00:44:32] horizon

[00:44:34] you

[00:44:35] and

[00:44:35] I

[00:44:35] I

[00:44:37] mean

[00:44:37] I'm

[00:44:37] in

[00:44:37] the

[00:44:37] northern

[00:44:38] hemisphere

[00:44:38] but

[00:44:39] if

[00:44:40] you're

[00:44:40] who

[00:44:40] listens

[00:44:41] if

[00:44:41] you

[00:44:41] sleepy

[00:44:41] are

[00:44:42] in

[00:44:42] the

[00:44:42] southern

[00:44:43] hemisphere

[00:44:43] then

[00:44:44] when

[00:44:45] the

[00:44:45] moon

[00:44:45] is

[00:44:46] just

[00:44:46] above

[00:44:46] the

[00:44:46] horizon

[00:44:47] you

[00:44:48] see

[00:44:49] the

[00:44:50] moon

[00:44:50] upside

[00:44:51] down

[00:44:51] from

[00:44:52] as I

[00:44:53] see

[00:44:53] it

[00:44:59] as soon

[00:44:59] as

[00:45:00] the

[00:45:00] moon

[00:45:00] rises

[00:45:00] it's

[00:45:01] the

[00:45:02] exact

[00:45:02] same

[00:45:03] image

[00:45:03] and

[00:45:04] although

[00:45:05] we

[00:45:05] don't

[00:45:05] see

[00:45:06] it

[00:45:06] at

[00:45:06] the

[00:45:06] same

[00:45:06] time

[00:45:07] we

[00:45:09] can

[00:45:10] look

[00:45:10] at

[00:45:10] it

[00:45:10] like

[00:45:11] in

[00:45:11] and

[00:45:12] we

[00:45:12] see

[00:45:12] the

[00:45:13] exact

[00:45:13] same

[00:45:13] image

[00:45:16] that's

[00:45:18] I

[00:45:18] mean

[00:45:18] and

[00:45:19] that

[00:45:19] doesn't

[00:45:20] just

[00:45:20] connect

[00:45:20] the

[00:45:21] two

[00:45:21] of

[00:45:21] us

[00:45:22] contemporary

[00:45:23] people

[00:45:23] on

[00:45:23] planet

[00:45:24] earth

[00:45:24] that

[00:45:25] connects

[00:45:25] us

[00:45:26] with

[00:45:26] every

[00:45:27] other

[00:45:28] every

[00:45:29] all

[00:45:30] the

[00:45:30] other

[00:45:30] humans

[00:45:31] that

[00:45:35] we

[00:45:36] have

[00:45:36] seen

[00:45:36] the

[00:45:37] exact

[00:45:38] same

[00:45:38] image

[00:45:39] well

[00:45:40] maybe

[00:45:40] one

[00:45:41] crater

[00:45:42] or

[00:45:42] two

[00:45:43] have

[00:45:43] made

[00:45:44] small

[00:45:45] changes

[00:45:46] but

[00:45:46] we've

[00:45:47] been

[00:45:47] around

[00:45:47] for

[00:45:48] such

[00:45:48] a

[00:45:48] short

[00:45:48] time

[00:45:49] that

[00:45:49] the

[00:45:50] moon

[00:45:50] really

[00:45:51] looks

[00:45:51] the

[00:45:51] same

[00:45:52] and

[00:45:53] so

[00:45:53] when

[00:45:54] Jesus

[00:45:54] whoever

[00:45:56] he

[00:45:56] was

[00:45:57] looked

[00:45:57] up

[00:45:58] at

[00:45:58] the

[00:46:00] night

[00:46:00] sky

[00:46:00] he

[00:46:00] saw

[00:46:01] the

[00:46:06] same

[00:46:07] goes

[00:46:07] for

[00:46:09] you

[00:46:10] know

[00:46:11] his

[00:46:12] mother

[00:46:13] and

[00:46:14] her

[00:46:15] mother

[00:46:16] and

[00:46:17] her

[00:46:17] granddad

[00:46:20] Dick

[00:46:21] Clarkinson

[00:46:23] his

[00:46:24] name

[00:46:24] was

[00:46:24] actually

[00:46:25] Dick

[00:46:25] Clarkinson

[00:46:26] and

[00:46:26] well

[00:46:27] that was

[00:46:28] a weird

[00:46:28] name

[00:46:28] to have

[00:46:29] easy

[00:46:30] but

[00:46:31] it's

[00:46:33] yeah

[00:46:35] there

[00:46:36] you have

[00:46:36] it

[00:46:36] I mean

[00:46:37] you get

[00:46:37] to know

[00:46:37] all sorts

[00:46:38] of

[00:46:38] random

[00:46:39] things

[00:46:39] here

[00:46:40] but

[00:46:40] you can

[00:46:40] use

[00:46:41] them

[00:46:41] you know

[00:46:42] these little

[00:46:42] nuggets

[00:46:43] of

[00:46:44] knowledge

[00:46:44] that I

[00:46:45] provide

[00:46:47] well

[00:46:47] so you

[00:46:48] can

[00:46:48] just

[00:46:50] enjoy

[00:46:51] life

[00:46:51] more

[00:46:51] I guess

[00:46:52] that's

[00:46:52] what I'm

[00:46:53] trying to

[00:46:53] do

[00:46:53] here

[00:46:54] I have

[00:46:57] a dream

[00:46:57] that

[00:47:01] tomorrow

[00:47:02] when the

[00:47:06] first

[00:47:07] turbulent

[00:47:08] part of

[00:47:09] the election

[00:47:09] is over

[00:47:11] that

[00:47:13] things will

[00:47:14] be crystal

[00:47:15] clear

[00:47:15] I have

[00:47:18] a dream

[00:47:18] that

[00:47:19] and I'm

[00:47:20] not

[00:47:20] trying to

[00:47:20] quote

[00:47:22] Martin

[00:47:22] Luther

[00:47:23] King

[00:47:23] here

[00:47:24] in the

[00:47:25] sense of

[00:47:25] I have

[00:47:26] a dream

[00:47:26] so okay

[00:47:27] I'm

[00:47:27] going to

[00:47:27] rephrase

[00:47:27] that

[00:47:28] because

[00:47:28] it

[00:47:28] sounds

[00:47:28] too

[00:47:29] pretentious

[00:47:29] and pompous

[00:47:30] I wish

[00:47:32] that

[00:47:32] I wish

[00:47:33] that

[00:47:34] everything

[00:47:35] will be

[00:47:35] crystal

[00:47:36] clear

[00:47:36] and the

[00:47:37] message

[00:47:38] from

[00:47:38] the

[00:47:39] people

[00:47:39] of

[00:47:40] the

[00:47:41] United

[00:47:41] States

[00:47:41] of

[00:47:42] America

[00:47:42] will be

[00:47:43] the one

[00:47:44] that

[00:47:45] realigns

[00:47:46] that aligns

[00:47:47] with

[00:47:49] other

[00:47:50] progressive

[00:47:50] forces

[00:47:51] around the

[00:47:52] world

[00:47:52] like

[00:47:53] we are

[00:47:54] through

[00:47:55] with this

[00:47:56] strongman

[00:47:59] worshiping

[00:47:59] thing

[00:48:01] we don't

[00:48:01] need a

[00:48:02] excuse me

[00:48:03] fucking

[00:48:04] Jesus

[00:48:05] character

[00:48:07] we don't

[00:48:07] need

[00:48:08] someone who

[00:48:09] stands on top

[00:48:10] of a hill

[00:48:11] and points out

[00:48:11] the way

[00:48:12] we don't

[00:48:12] need anyone

[00:48:13] to show us

[00:48:15] the way

[00:48:15] because we can

[00:48:16] do this

[00:48:16] together

[00:48:17] and we

[00:48:18] have

[00:48:19] like

[00:48:20] huge

[00:48:21] human

[00:48:23] networks

[00:48:23] throughout

[00:48:24] the world

[00:48:25] that can

[00:48:27] cooperate

[00:48:27] and we

[00:48:29] don't need

[00:48:29] demagogues

[00:48:30] anymore

[00:48:31] maybe we

[00:48:32] needed them

[00:48:33] in the past

[00:48:34] when we

[00:48:35] couldn't

[00:48:35] communicate

[00:48:35] so good

[00:48:37] when people

[00:48:38] needed

[00:48:39] ideology

[00:48:39] and religion

[00:48:40] in a

[00:48:42] much more

[00:48:42] strict

[00:48:43] and

[00:48:43] stringent

[00:48:44] way

[00:48:45] than we

[00:48:46] do now

[00:48:46] but today

[00:48:48] you and I

[00:48:49] can talk

[00:48:50] to each

[00:48:50] other

[00:48:50] although we

[00:48:51] are in

[00:48:51] different

[00:48:51] parts

[00:48:52] of the

[00:48:52] world

[00:48:52] we can

[00:48:53] share

[00:48:54] or we

[00:48:54] can

[00:48:54] disagree

[00:48:55] different

[00:48:56] views

[00:48:56] but we

[00:49:00] don't

[00:49:01] need

[00:49:01] someone

[00:49:02] like

[00:49:02] this

[00:49:04] orange

[00:49:04] dude

[00:49:05] to point

[00:49:06] out the

[00:49:06] road

[00:49:07] for us

[00:49:07] we don't

[00:49:08] need

[00:49:08] someone

[00:49:08] who

[00:49:09] never

[00:49:09] quote

[00:49:10] unquote

[00:49:10] never

[00:49:11] makes

[00:49:11] mistakes

[00:49:12] we need

[00:49:15] someone

[00:49:15] who is

[00:49:16] like

[00:49:17] willing

[00:49:18] to work

[00:49:19] so

[00:49:23] I wish

[00:49:25] that

[00:49:25] that

[00:49:25] would

[00:49:26] be

[00:49:26] the

[00:49:26] consensus

[00:49:27] after

[00:49:27] tomorrow

[00:49:28] and I

[00:49:29] mean

[00:49:29] I know

[00:49:30] that there

[00:49:31] are other

[00:49:31] countries

[00:49:32] in the

[00:49:32] world

[00:49:33] like

[00:49:34] Moldavia

[00:49:36] you know

[00:49:38] and

[00:49:39] but I

[00:49:41] there is

[00:49:41] something

[00:49:42] very specific

[00:49:43] with this

[00:49:44] huge

[00:49:45] country

[00:49:46] with great

[00:49:46] cultural

[00:49:47] and economic

[00:49:48] and

[00:49:50] military

[00:49:51] influence

[00:49:52] in the

[00:49:52] world

[00:49:52] and I

[00:49:53] would

[00:49:53] love

[00:49:54] for that

[00:49:55] to be

[00:49:55] a stable

[00:49:56] nation

[00:49:59] I mean

[00:49:59] it's almost

[00:50:00] a responsibility

[00:50:01] I think

[00:50:04] now I

[00:50:05] might be

[00:50:05] losing

[00:50:06] a few

[00:50:06] of you

[00:50:08] and I'm

[00:50:09] sorry to

[00:50:09] see you

[00:50:09] go

[00:50:12] because I

[00:50:13] don't really

[00:50:13] know

[00:50:14] you know

[00:50:19] this is

[00:50:20] maybe this

[00:50:20] is the last

[00:50:21] episode of

[00:50:22] fall asleep

[00:50:22] with

[00:50:22] Henrik

[00:50:23] I don't

[00:50:23] know

[00:50:23] no I'm

[00:50:24] I'm

[00:50:24] I'm

[00:50:25] I'm

[00:50:26] not

[00:50:26] planning

[00:50:26] on it

[00:50:27] but maybe

[00:50:28] I

[00:50:28] the great

[00:50:29] consensus

[00:50:29] of the

[00:50:30] my American

[00:50:31] sleepies

[00:50:32] will just

[00:50:32] say

[00:50:33] enough

[00:50:34] already

[00:50:34] stick

[00:50:36] with your

[00:50:36] stories

[00:50:38] you

[00:50:39] Swedish

[00:50:39] weird

[00:50:41] weirdo

[00:50:41] but then

[00:50:43] this

[00:50:43] Swedish

[00:50:44] weirdo

[00:50:45] will just

[00:50:45] step up

[00:50:47] on the

[00:50:47] barricades

[00:50:48] and say

[00:50:48] okay I'm

[00:50:50] sorry

[00:50:50] and then

[00:50:51] I will

[00:50:52] just

[00:50:52] crawl

[00:50:53] back

[00:50:54] into the

[00:50:54] hole

[00:50:54] from which

[00:50:55] I came

[00:51:03] I'm not

[00:51:04] trying to

[00:51:05] like

[00:51:05] paint up

[00:51:06] a picture

[00:51:06] of

[00:51:08] paint a

[00:51:08] picture

[00:51:09] of

[00:51:10] like

[00:51:11] there's

[00:51:11] this one

[00:51:12] guy that

[00:51:13] needs to

[00:51:13] be defeated

[00:51:14] and then

[00:51:14] the world

[00:51:15] will turn

[00:51:15] into a

[00:51:16] paradise

[00:51:16] I'm not

[00:51:17] saying

[00:51:17] that

[00:51:17] because

[00:51:18] it really

[00:51:19] isn't even

[00:51:20] about this

[00:51:21] dude

[00:51:22] this orange

[00:51:23] dude

[00:51:25] of course

[00:51:26] there are

[00:51:27] problematic

[00:51:29] issues

[00:51:30] about

[00:51:31] this

[00:51:32] particular

[00:51:33] strongman

[00:51:35] but

[00:51:37] this is

[00:51:37] of course

[00:51:38] a movement

[00:51:39] and

[00:51:39] a way

[00:51:40] of looking

[00:51:40] at the

[00:51:41] world

[00:51:41] that

[00:51:41] won't

[00:51:42] disappear

[00:51:43] but maybe

[00:51:46] the majority

[00:51:47] of us

[00:51:47] could just

[00:51:48] claim

[00:51:49] the world

[00:51:50] as ours

[00:51:51] you know

[00:51:53] just stand

[00:51:55] up together

[00:51:55] and say

[00:51:56] that

[00:51:56] we don't

[00:51:57] need

[00:51:58] thank you

[00:51:59] Mr.

[00:51:59] Strongman

[00:52:00] we can

[00:52:00] just be

[00:52:01] very peaceful

[00:52:01] about it

[00:52:02] we don't

[00:52:02] need to

[00:52:04] hang

[00:52:04] anyone

[00:52:05] you know

[00:52:05] we can

[00:52:06] just say

[00:52:06] thank you

[00:52:07] Mr.

[00:52:07] Strongman

[00:52:08] for keeping

[00:52:08] us safe

[00:52:09] throughout

[00:52:11] human

[00:52:13] history

[00:52:14] thank you

[00:52:15] for all

[00:52:16] the things

[00:52:16] that you

[00:52:17] done well

[00:52:18] like for

[00:52:19] instance

[00:52:19] I don't

[00:52:20] know

[00:52:20] and then

[00:52:21] we can

[00:52:21] come up

[00:52:22] with a

[00:52:22] few

[00:52:22] different

[00:52:23] things

[00:52:23] when

[00:52:23] a certain

[00:52:25] type of

[00:52:25] civilization

[00:52:26] needed a

[00:52:27] strongman

[00:52:27] to take

[00:52:29] the lead

[00:52:30] so thank

[00:52:31] you for

[00:52:32] that

[00:52:32] and

[00:52:32] this was

[00:52:33] a very

[00:52:34] good

[00:52:34] thing

[00:52:35] that you

[00:52:35] did

[00:52:35] and

[00:52:36] if you

[00:52:37] hadn't

[00:52:37] done

[00:52:38] that

[00:52:38] then

[00:52:38] this

[00:52:39] and

[00:52:39] this

[00:52:39] would

[00:52:39] have

[00:52:40] happened

[00:52:41] but now

[00:52:42] we're

[00:52:44] at this

[00:52:44] point

[00:52:45] in our

[00:52:45] history

[00:52:46] and

[00:52:47] in our

[00:52:48] aging

[00:52:49] and

[00:52:49] maturing

[00:52:51] process

[00:52:52] that we

[00:52:52] don't

[00:52:53] really

[00:52:53] need

[00:52:53] you

[00:52:54] anymore

[00:52:55] but it's

[00:52:56] okay

[00:52:56] because now

[00:52:57] you get to

[00:52:58] rest and

[00:52:58] you get to

[00:52:59] be a part

[00:52:59] of this

[00:53:00] amazing

[00:53:00] potential

[00:53:01] new world

[00:53:02] where

[00:53:04] vast

[00:53:04] networks

[00:53:05] of people

[00:53:05] take

[00:53:08] decisions

[00:53:09] that normally

[00:53:10] would just

[00:53:11] be taken

[00:53:11] by you

[00:53:12] and a few

[00:53:12] of your

[00:53:13] friends

[00:53:14] at a

[00:53:14] dinner

[00:53:15] party

[00:53:15] in this

[00:53:16] secluded

[00:53:16] bunker

[00:53:17] or

[00:53:19] cabin

[00:53:19] somewhere

[00:53:21] now

[00:53:22] we get

[00:53:23] to be

[00:53:23] a part

[00:53:23] of it

[00:53:24] in a

[00:53:25] more

[00:53:25] transparent

[00:53:25] way

[00:53:26] because

[00:53:26] with the

[00:53:28] help

[00:53:28] of

[00:53:28] technology

[00:53:30] we are

[00:53:30] now

[00:53:32] much

[00:53:32] better

[00:53:32] together

[00:53:34] and

[00:53:35] this

[00:53:35] will

[00:53:35] eventually

[00:53:36] be the

[00:53:36] case

[00:53:36] anyway

[00:53:38] so

[00:53:38] thank

[00:53:39] you

[00:53:39] for your

[00:53:40] service

[00:53:41] Mr.

[00:53:41] Strongman

[00:53:42] but now

[00:53:43] you can

[00:53:43] you know

[00:53:44] relax

[00:53:46] and we're

[00:53:47] not mad

[00:53:47] well

[00:53:48] yeah

[00:53:49] we're

[00:53:49] mad

[00:53:50] but

[00:53:51] we

[00:53:51] won't

[00:53:52] we have

[00:53:52] decided

[00:53:53] to take

[00:53:53] the high

[00:53:54] road

[00:53:54] here

[00:53:54] and

[00:53:55] we

[00:53:56] won't

[00:53:56] there

[00:53:56] won't

[00:53:57] be any

[00:53:57] precautions

[00:53:58] there

[00:53:58] won't

[00:53:59] be

[00:53:59] any

[00:54:00] punishment

[00:54:00] or

[00:54:01] anything

[00:54:01] just

[00:54:02] just

[00:54:03] leave

[00:54:03] peacefully

[00:54:04] now

[00:54:05] just

[00:54:05] go

[00:54:06] and

[00:54:06] so that

[00:54:07] we can

[00:54:08] in our

[00:54:10] own

[00:54:11] way

[00:54:11] build

[00:54:12] a new

[00:54:15] world

[00:54:15] a new

[00:54:16] society

[00:54:17] a society

[00:54:19] where

[00:54:20] democracy

[00:54:21] really

[00:54:21] truly

[00:54:21] is

[00:54:24] present

[00:54:25] you know

[00:54:27] as it

[00:54:29] wasn't

[00:54:30] as it

[00:54:30] is intended

[00:54:34] oh god

[00:54:37] some of you

[00:54:38] sleepies that are

[00:54:39] like

[00:54:40] really

[00:54:41] well read

[00:54:42] you're just

[00:54:45] laughing your

[00:54:46] hats off

[00:54:47] right now

[00:54:47] I know

[00:54:48] and of course

[00:54:49] and I also know

[00:54:50] that you happen to

[00:54:50] sleep

[00:54:51] wearing a hat

[00:54:52] because it's

[00:54:53] I mean that's

[00:54:54] an American

[00:54:55] thing

[00:54:56] sorry I'm

[00:54:57] sorry I'm

[00:54:58] sorry

[00:54:58] one once

[00:54:59] actually I

[00:55:00] made this

[00:55:01] huge

[00:55:01] I had

[00:55:03] this

[00:55:03] play

[00:55:05] about my

[00:55:06] own

[00:55:07] upbringing

[00:55:08] in this

[00:55:09] little

[00:55:10] Swedish

[00:55:10] village

[00:55:11] and it

[00:55:12] was called

[00:55:13] well the

[00:55:14] American name

[00:55:15] would be

[00:55:16] like the

[00:55:17] nerd

[00:55:17] or the

[00:55:19] dork

[00:55:19] or something

[00:55:20] and it

[00:55:21] was about

[00:55:22] bullying and

[00:55:23] it was a

[00:55:23] true story

[00:55:23] about my

[00:55:24] time in

[00:55:26] middle school

[00:55:29] and high

[00:55:30] school

[00:55:30] I don't know

[00:55:31] exactly where

[00:55:32] high school

[00:55:32] begins

[00:55:34] anyway

[00:55:35] I

[00:55:36] I had this

[00:55:40] idea that I

[00:55:41] was going to

[00:55:41] translate

[00:55:42] this was like

[00:55:43] 20 years ago

[00:55:43] but I had

[00:55:44] this idea that I

[00:55:45] was going to

[00:55:46] translate my

[00:55:46] play into

[00:55:47] English and

[00:55:48] then tour

[00:55:49] American

[00:55:50] and English

[00:55:52] middle schools

[00:55:53] and high

[00:55:54] schools with

[00:55:54] this monologue

[00:55:57] and I

[00:55:58] had no

[00:55:58] agent and

[00:55:59] I had no

[00:56:00] producer so

[00:56:01] I thought I'd

[00:56:02] just do it all

[00:56:03] by myself and

[00:56:03] this was before

[00:56:04] social media and

[00:56:05] stuff so I

[00:56:07] had no way of

[00:56:07] contacting people

[00:56:08] except for

[00:56:10] you know

[00:56:10] looking for

[00:56:12] web pages

[00:56:14] of American

[00:56:15] middle schools

[00:56:17] and that

[00:56:18] wasn't an

[00:56:19] easy thing

[00:56:19] you know

[00:56:20] because you

[00:56:21] know Google

[00:56:21] wasn't as good

[00:56:22] as it as it

[00:56:23] is now so I

[00:56:24] just I

[00:56:25] couldn't find

[00:56:25] you know a

[00:56:26] list so I

[00:56:27] just randomly

[00:56:29] just found

[00:56:30] like five or

[00:56:31] six middle

[00:56:32] schools all

[00:56:34] across the

[00:56:34] US and I

[00:56:35] wrote to

[00:56:36] random people

[00:56:37] there in the

[00:56:38] staff and

[00:56:40] told them about

[00:56:41] America's

[00:56:43] quote-unquote

[00:56:44] huge problems

[00:56:45] with bullying

[00:56:46] I had no

[00:56:47] knowledge about

[00:56:48] whether or not

[00:56:50] that was true

[00:56:50] I was such an

[00:56:52] arrogant prick

[00:56:53] I just

[00:56:54] imagined that

[00:56:57] the American

[00:56:58] school system

[00:56:59] was plagued

[00:57:00] by bullying

[00:57:01] like

[00:57:02] like I

[00:57:04] hadn't just

[00:57:05] come from

[00:57:06] like the

[00:57:07] Swedish school

[00:57:08] system was

[00:57:08] in the 80s

[00:57:10] and 90s it

[00:57:10] was such a

[00:57:11] mess

[00:57:11] so many

[00:57:13] people were

[00:57:13] bullied and

[00:57:14] the teachers

[00:57:15] were afraid of

[00:57:16] the students

[00:57:16] and it was

[00:57:17] it was a

[00:57:19] nightmare

[00:57:19] one Swedish

[00:57:20] teacher during

[00:57:21] this time

[00:57:22] described

[00:57:24] their line

[00:57:25] of work

[00:57:26] as hell

[00:57:27] on earth

[00:57:27] that's true

[00:57:28] to a magazine

[00:57:29] and I

[00:57:32] get that

[00:57:32] because there

[00:57:32] were no

[00:57:33] like discussions

[00:57:34] around bullying

[00:57:35] or anything

[00:57:36] I just had

[00:57:37] this

[00:57:38] predetermined

[00:57:39] idea

[00:57:40] that this

[00:57:42] was the

[00:57:42] case in

[00:57:43] the American

[00:57:43] school system

[00:57:44] as well

[00:57:44] I thought

[00:57:46] of the

[00:57:46] American

[00:57:46] school system

[00:57:47] as one

[00:57:48] system

[00:57:48] you know

[00:57:51] not this

[00:57:53] state

[00:57:55] dependent

[00:57:56] thing

[00:57:56] so I

[00:57:59] I

[00:57:59] I didn't

[00:58:01] get any

[00:58:02] replies except

[00:58:02] for one

[00:58:03] school

[00:58:03] that answered

[00:58:04] me

[00:58:04] this

[00:58:05] sort of

[00:58:06] I don't

[00:58:07] remember the

[00:58:08] exact words

[00:58:09] but

[00:58:10] dear

[00:58:10] Henrik

[00:58:11] thank you

[00:58:12] for

[00:58:13] contacting

[00:58:13] me

[00:58:15] if you

[00:58:16] really want

[00:58:16] to change

[00:58:17] the

[00:58:19] situation

[00:58:20] regarding

[00:58:21] bullying

[00:58:21] in American

[00:58:22] schools

[00:58:22] I advise

[00:58:23] you to

[00:58:24] donate

[00:58:24] to

[00:58:25] one of

[00:58:26] the

[00:58:26] hundreds

[00:58:26] of

[00:58:26] organizations

[00:58:27] that

[00:58:27] work

[00:58:28] tirelessly

[00:58:28] to fight

[00:58:30] bullying

[00:58:30] on our

[00:58:31] own

[00:58:31] soil

[00:58:32] we don't

[00:58:32] need

[00:58:32] this

[00:58:33] we don't

[00:58:34] need

[00:58:34] your

[00:58:34] play

[00:58:34] but we

[00:58:36] could

[00:58:36] use

[00:58:36] your

[00:58:38] your

[00:58:38] you know

[00:58:40] support

[00:58:40] just

[00:58:41] support us

[00:58:43] economically

[00:58:45] if you

[00:58:46] really want

[00:58:46] to help

[00:58:47] that is

[00:58:47] but

[00:58:48] I mean

[00:58:49] she saw

[00:58:50] right through

[00:58:50] me because

[00:58:51] I mean

[00:58:51] I didn't

[00:58:52] really

[00:58:52] of course

[00:58:54] I felt

[00:58:54] the need

[00:58:56] for

[00:58:56] engagement

[00:58:57] you know

[00:58:59] to change

[00:59:02] having been

[00:59:02] exposed to

[00:59:03] bullying

[00:59:04] myself

[00:59:04] I am

[00:59:05] really

[00:59:05] sensitive

[00:59:06] to that

[00:59:07] and I

[00:59:07] can feel

[00:59:08] it

[00:59:09] like

[00:59:09] immediately

[00:59:10] when I

[00:59:10] enter a

[00:59:10] school

[00:59:11] building

[00:59:11] I can

[00:59:11] just

[00:59:11] feel

[00:59:12] whether or

[00:59:13] not

[00:59:13] this is

[00:59:13] a good

[00:59:14] place

[00:59:14] or a

[00:59:15] bad

[00:59:15] place

[00:59:15] but

[00:59:16] of course

[00:59:17] my main

[00:59:19] purpose

[00:59:20] with these

[00:59:20] letters

[00:59:20] was to

[00:59:21] I wanted

[00:59:22] to be

[00:59:23] like a

[00:59:23] Hollywood

[00:59:23] star

[00:59:24] I guess

[00:59:25] I don't

[00:59:25] know

[00:59:25] I don't

[00:59:26] know

[00:59:26] I was

[00:59:27] an idiot

[00:59:28] I was

[00:59:28] an arrogant

[00:59:30] idiot

[00:59:30] and I'm

[00:59:31] sorry

[00:59:31] to whomever

[00:59:32] was exposed

[00:59:34] to this

[00:59:35] idiot

[00:59:36] idiot

[00:59:42] is that a

[00:59:43] word

[00:59:43] I don't

[00:59:43] I don't

[00:59:44] know

[00:59:45] so anyway

[00:59:46] sleepy

[00:59:47] you've had

[00:59:48] my prediction

[00:59:49] and

[00:59:50] by the time

[00:59:51] this episode

[00:59:52] is a few

[00:59:53] days old

[00:59:53] we all

[00:59:55] know if

[00:59:55] I'm

[00:59:56] if I were

[00:59:57] correct

[00:59:58] and I

[00:59:59] right now

[01:00:00] I feel

[01:00:01] scared

[01:00:01] even to

[01:00:02] put it up

[01:00:03] there

[01:00:03] because

[01:00:05] this episode

[01:00:06] is recorded

[01:00:07] on

[01:00:08] Monday

[01:00:10] so

[01:00:13] Sunday

[01:00:14] night

[01:00:16] in the

[01:00:16] US

[01:00:17] and

[01:00:18] I don't

[01:00:20] know

[01:00:20] if I'm

[01:00:25] going to

[01:00:25] make a fool

[01:00:25] out of

[01:00:26] myself

[01:00:26] or not

[01:00:27] and it

[01:00:28] doesn't

[01:00:28] really matter

[01:00:29] because

[01:00:29] the majority

[01:00:30] of you

[01:00:30] are

[01:00:31] sound

[01:00:32] asleep

[01:00:32] right now

[01:00:32] and

[01:00:35] God I

[01:00:36] love to

[01:00:36] be able

[01:00:36] to talk

[01:00:37] to you

[01:00:37] while

[01:00:37] you're

[01:00:38] asleep

[01:00:38] I love

[01:00:39] it

[01:00:41] sleepy

[01:00:43] it is

[01:00:43] what it

[01:00:44] is

[01:00:44] what

[01:00:45] happens

[01:00:45] happens

[01:00:47] and

[01:00:48] right now

[01:00:49] there is

[01:00:51] nothing

[01:00:51] we can

[01:00:52] do

[01:00:55] good

[01:00:56] night

[01:00:56] we'll

[01:00:59] see what

[01:00:59] happens
