[00:01:34] You can always take time to celebrate whatever holiday.

[00:01:39] In honor of this specific holiday,

[00:01:43] I put together this extra long episode for you today

[00:01:45] consistent of three episodes of Fall Asleep with Henrik put together

[00:01:54] so you get extra long time to fall asleep.

[00:01:58] So with that said,

[00:02:03] let's start off with the first episode

[00:02:07] and

[00:02:08] Merry Christmas.

[00:02:12] Hi and welcome to Fall Asleep with Henrik.

[00:02:16] I'm Henrik

[00:02:18] and

[00:02:19] you are sleepy and

[00:02:23] it is what it is.

[00:02:26] What happens happens

[00:02:27] and right now

[00:02:30] there is nothing

[00:02:31] we can do about it.

[00:02:36] So let's go.

[00:02:40] Hi there sleepy.

[00:02:43] How are you?

[00:02:46] I'm fine.

[00:02:47] Thank you for asking.

[00:02:48] I'm

[00:02:50] sitting in my studio

[00:02:52] as always

[00:02:55] having problems

[00:02:58] starting this

[00:03:00] podcast that

[00:03:01] is meant for you to fall asleep.

[00:03:03] I know there's

[00:03:05] there's a lot of other

[00:03:07] sleep aid

[00:03:09] oriented

[00:03:10] podcasts

[00:03:11] out there

[00:03:12] but most of them

[00:03:13] and I say most of them

[00:03:15] well knowing that

[00:03:17] not every one of them

[00:03:20] is

[00:03:22] structured in

[00:03:23] a different way than

[00:03:25] this podcast.

[00:03:28] Most of them

[00:03:29] are structured in a way

[00:03:31] that are purely meant

[00:03:33] for you to be

[00:03:34] lulled to sleep

[00:03:35] in a very traditional way

[00:03:38] like

[00:03:40] bedtime stories

[00:03:41] for

[00:03:42] children or

[00:03:43] for grown-ups

[00:03:45] or

[00:03:46] meditation

[00:03:46] or relaxation

[00:03:47] techniques.

[00:03:49] This

[00:03:50] is

[00:03:51] not that

[00:03:52] kind of podcast.

[00:03:55] This is

[00:03:56] more

[00:03:58] in line with

[00:03:59] if any

[00:04:01] the

[00:04:02] very popular

[00:04:04] sleep podcast

[00:04:05] sleep with me

[00:04:06] that

[00:04:08] Skur

[00:04:09] does

[00:04:11] I would

[00:04:12] I can

[00:04:14] recommend that

[00:04:15] well

[00:04:16] that is of course

[00:04:17] not necessary

[00:04:18] for me to

[00:04:19] recommend that

[00:04:20] podcast since

[00:04:21] that is actually

[00:04:22] a very

[00:04:23] successful

[00:04:24] podcast

[00:04:24] you don't need

[00:04:25] my

[00:04:26] recommendation

[00:04:26] but

[00:04:29] he is

[00:04:30] well I guess

[00:04:31] he is

[00:04:32] most

[00:04:35] he

[00:04:35] the podcast

[00:04:37] for sleep

[00:04:38] with me

[00:04:38] is the

[00:04:39] most

[00:04:41] like mine

[00:04:43] in the

[00:04:44] podcast

[00:04:45] universe

[00:04:46] but

[00:04:47] this is

[00:04:47] something

[00:04:48] purely

[00:04:49] made out

[00:04:51] of my own

[00:04:51] mind

[00:04:53] I am

[00:04:54] no expert

[00:04:55] in

[00:04:56] sleeping

[00:04:57] techniques

[00:04:58] or

[00:04:58] relaxation

[00:04:59] or visualization

[00:05:01] techniques

[00:05:02] I am

[00:05:03] from Sweden

[00:05:04] I don't

[00:05:04] speak

[00:05:04] very well

[00:05:05] I don't

[00:05:06] speak

[00:05:07] English

[00:05:07] very well

[00:05:07] although

[00:05:08] some

[00:05:09] say

[00:05:09] I do

[00:05:09] but I

[00:05:12] I am

[00:05:13] very

[00:05:13] aware

[00:05:14] of my

[00:05:14] own

[00:05:15] shortcomings

[00:05:17] regarding

[00:05:18] the language

[00:05:22] as I've

[00:05:23] said many

[00:05:24] times

[00:05:24] before

[00:05:24] I do

[00:05:24] this in

[00:05:25] Swedish

[00:05:25] 10 times

[00:05:28] a month

[00:05:30] and

[00:05:31] have been

[00:05:31] doing so

[00:05:32] since

[00:05:33] 2018

[00:05:33] putting

[00:05:34] Swedes

[00:05:35] Norwegians

[00:05:36] Finnish

[00:05:37] people

[00:05:38] Danes

[00:05:39] and

[00:05:40] Swedish

[00:05:40] people

[00:05:41] all around

[00:05:42] the world

[00:05:42] to sleep

[00:05:44] for

[00:05:45] six years

[00:05:46] now

[00:05:49] and

[00:05:50] that's my

[00:05:51] income

[00:05:52] that's my

[00:05:53] job

[00:05:53] you could

[00:05:55] have

[00:05:55] worse

[00:05:56] jobs

[00:06:00] so

[00:06:01] anyway

[00:06:01] you don't

[00:06:02] have to

[00:06:02] listen to

[00:06:03] my

[00:06:03] words

[00:06:05] I

[00:06:05] share

[00:06:06] that

[00:06:06] with

[00:06:06] the

[00:06:06] sleep

[00:06:07] with

[00:06:07] me

[00:06:07] podcast

[00:06:08] you

[00:06:08] don't

[00:06:09] have

[00:06:09] to

[00:06:09] listen

[00:06:09] to

[00:06:09] what

[00:06:10] I

[00:06:10] say

[00:06:10] let

[00:06:10] me

[00:06:10] just

[00:06:11] speak

[00:06:11] and

[00:06:12] I

[00:06:12] will

[00:06:14] well

[00:06:15] a

[00:06:16] common

[00:06:16] misconception

[00:06:17] about

[00:06:17] this

[00:06:18] type

[00:06:18] of

[00:06:19] insomnia

[00:06:19] relief

[00:06:21] technique

[00:06:21] is that

[00:06:22] I'm

[00:06:22] trying to

[00:06:23] bore

[00:06:23] you

[00:06:23] to

[00:06:23] sleep

[00:06:24] but

[00:06:24] I'm

[00:06:25] not

[00:06:25] actually

[00:06:27] I am

[00:06:27] trying

[00:06:28] my

[00:06:28] best

[00:06:28] to

[00:06:29] entertain

[00:06:29] you

[00:06:29] but

[00:06:30] since

[00:06:31] I

[00:06:31] don't

[00:06:31] prepare

[00:06:32] anything

[00:06:32] edit

[00:06:33] anything

[00:06:34] remove

[00:06:35] stuff

[00:06:36] you know

[00:06:37] restructure

[00:06:38] stuff

[00:06:39] I

[00:06:40] can't

[00:06:41] it's

[00:06:42] almost

[00:06:42] impossible

[00:06:42] for me

[00:06:43] to

[00:06:43] succeed

[00:06:45] in

[00:06:46] my

[00:06:46] trying

[00:06:47] to

[00:06:47] entertain

[00:06:48] you

[00:06:48] like

[00:06:48] in

[00:06:49] a

[00:06:49] professional

[00:06:50] way

[00:06:50] since

[00:06:51] that's

[00:06:51] my

[00:06:52] job

[00:06:52] in a

[00:06:52] way

[00:06:53] I'm

[00:06:54] an

[00:06:54] actor

[00:06:54] and

[00:06:55] I

[00:06:55] I

[00:06:56] am

[00:06:57] trained

[00:06:57] in

[00:06:58] entertaining

[00:06:58] and

[00:07:00] performing

[00:07:01] I am

[00:07:04] actually a

[00:07:04] trained

[00:07:05] actor

[00:07:06] this

[00:07:07] I

[00:07:08] don't

[00:07:08] know

[00:07:09] how

[00:07:09] much

[00:07:10] of my

[00:07:10] training

[00:07:11] is

[00:07:11] applied

[00:07:12] in

[00:07:13] this

[00:07:14] my

[00:07:14] new

[00:07:14] line

[00:07:14] of

[00:07:14] work

[00:07:15] it

[00:07:16] was

[00:07:16] a

[00:07:16] long

[00:07:16] time

[00:07:17] ago

[00:07:17] since

[00:07:17] I

[00:07:17] stood

[00:07:18] on

[00:07:18] a

[00:07:18] stage

[00:07:21] I

[00:07:22] guess

[00:07:22] that

[00:07:22] was

[00:07:24] 2022

[00:07:27] or

[00:07:27] maybe

[00:07:28] 2023

[00:07:30] I

[00:07:30] don't

[00:07:30] remember

[00:07:31] well

[00:07:33] it

[00:07:34] was

[00:07:34] long

[00:07:34] time

[00:07:35] ago

[00:07:35] anyway

[00:07:35] and I

[00:07:38] don't

[00:07:38] really

[00:07:38] miss

[00:07:39] it

[00:07:39] that

[00:07:40] much

[00:07:40] many

[00:07:43] people

[00:07:43] ask

[00:07:44] me

[00:07:44] are

[00:07:44] you

[00:07:44] done

[00:07:44] with

[00:07:45] acting

[00:07:45] now

[00:07:47] and

[00:07:48] I

[00:07:48] always

[00:07:49] answer

[00:07:49] no

[00:07:49] of

[00:07:49] course

[00:07:50] not

[00:07:50] why

[00:07:50] why

[00:07:51] I

[00:07:52] mean

[00:07:52] that

[00:07:52] would

[00:07:52] be

[00:08:15] are

[00:08:16] heading

[00:08:16] right

[00:08:16] into

[00:08:17] a

[00:08:17] ditch

[00:08:17] somewhere

[00:08:18] you

[00:08:19] don't

[00:08:19] know

[00:08:22] but

[00:08:23] I

[00:08:23] don't

[00:08:24] miss

[00:08:24] being

[00:08:25] on

[00:08:25] stage

[00:08:26] that

[00:08:27] much

[00:08:27] I

[00:08:30] miss

[00:08:30] being

[00:08:31] in

[00:08:32] front

[00:08:32] of

[00:08:32] the

[00:08:32] camera

[00:08:33] it's

[00:08:34] not

[00:08:34] the

[00:08:34] same

[00:08:34] doing

[00:08:35] it

[00:08:35] yourself

[00:08:35] on

[00:08:35] YouTube

[00:08:36] and

[00:08:36] other

[00:08:37] social

[00:08:37] media

[00:08:38] it's

[00:08:39] not

[00:08:39] the

[00:08:39] same

[00:08:40] when

[00:08:41] you're

[00:08:41] filming

[00:08:41] something

[00:08:42] you're

[00:08:42] a part

[00:08:42] of

[00:08:42] this

[00:08:43] huge

[00:08:44] group

[00:08:44] of

[00:08:44] people

[00:08:45] that

[00:08:45] are

[00:08:47] working

[00:08:47] towards

[00:08:48] a

[00:08:48] common

[00:08:48] goal

[00:08:49] centered

[00:08:50] around

[00:08:51] a

[00:08:51] hopefully

[00:08:52] good

[00:08:53] piece

[00:08:55] of

[00:08:55] narrative

[00:08:56] a good

[00:08:56] story

[00:08:58] that's

[00:08:59] not

[00:08:59] always

[00:09:00] the case

[00:09:00] though

[00:09:02] sometimes

[00:09:02] when you

[00:09:03] film

[00:09:03] when you

[00:09:04] do

[00:09:11] and

[00:09:11] everyone

[00:09:12] knows

[00:09:12] everyone

[00:09:13] working

[00:09:13] with it

[00:09:14] knows

[00:09:14] that

[00:09:14] this

[00:09:14] is

[00:09:15] going

[00:09:15] to

[00:09:15] turn

[00:09:15] out

[00:09:15] to

[00:09:16] be

[00:09:16] shit

[00:09:17] and

[00:09:19] we're

[00:09:19] laughing

[00:09:20] you know

[00:09:20] while

[00:09:21] doing

[00:09:21] it

[00:09:24] but

[00:09:25] then

[00:09:25] again

[00:09:25] you can

[00:09:26] be

[00:09:26] proven

[00:09:27] wrong

[00:09:28] I

[00:09:29] have

[00:09:29] worked

[00:09:29] on

[00:09:30] like

[00:09:31] many

[00:09:31] productions

[00:09:32] where

[00:09:33] I

[00:09:33] thought

[00:09:33] that

[00:09:33] this

[00:09:34] is

[00:09:34] going

[00:09:34] to

[00:09:34] turn

[00:09:35] out

[00:09:35] to

[00:09:35] be

[00:09:35] really

[00:09:35] good

[00:09:36] and

[00:09:36] then

[00:09:36] I

[00:09:37] saw

[00:09:37] the

[00:09:37] final

[00:09:38] result

[00:09:39] and

[00:09:39] I

[00:09:39] I'm

[00:09:40] just

[00:09:40] I want

[00:09:41] to

[00:09:41] be

[00:09:42] swallowed

[00:09:42] by

[00:09:43] the

[00:09:43] earth

[00:09:44] beneath

[00:09:45] me

[00:09:45] because

[00:09:46] I'm

[00:09:46] so

[00:09:46] shamed

[00:09:47] so

[00:09:50] you

[00:09:50] never

[00:09:50] know

[00:09:51] you

[00:09:52] know

[00:09:52] and

[00:09:53] sometimes

[00:09:53] you

[00:09:54] do

[00:09:54] stuff

[00:09:54] that

[00:09:54] feels

[00:09:55] not

[00:09:56] particularly

[00:09:57] good

[00:09:57] and

[00:10:00] then

[00:10:00] it

[00:10:00] turns

[00:10:00] out

[00:10:01] to

[00:10:01] be

[00:10:01] like

[00:10:01] this

[00:10:02] really

[00:10:02] good

[00:10:02] piece

[00:10:03] piece

[00:10:03] art

[00:10:04] so

[00:10:07] you

[00:10:07] never

[00:10:07] know

[00:10:08] nor

[00:10:08] should

[00:10:08] you

[00:10:09] know

[00:10:10] because

[00:10:10] it's

[00:10:10] all in

[00:10:11] the

[00:10:11] eyes

[00:10:11] of

[00:10:11] the

[00:10:12] audience

[00:10:12] I

[00:10:12] guess

[00:10:12] so

[00:10:18] I'm

[00:10:18] going

[00:10:18] to

[00:10:18] talk

[00:10:19] for

[00:10:19] an

[00:10:19] hour

[00:10:19] here

[00:10:20] and

[00:10:21] just

[00:10:21] speak

[00:10:22] whatever

[00:10:22] is

[00:10:22] on

[00:10:23] my

[00:10:23] mind

[00:10:23] I

[00:10:24] tend

[00:10:24] to

[00:10:25] dwell

[00:10:26] on

[00:10:26] stuff

[00:10:26] that's

[00:10:27] personal

[00:10:27] to

[00:10:27] me

[00:10:28] I

[00:10:29] tend

[00:10:29] to

[00:10:31] talk

[00:10:33] about

[00:10:33] especially

[00:10:34] in my

[00:10:34] English

[00:10:34] speaking

[00:10:35] podcast

[00:10:36] this

[00:10:37] one

[00:10:39] I

[00:10:40] tend

[00:10:40] to

[00:10:40] speak

[00:10:40] a lot

[00:10:41] about

[00:10:41] myself

[00:10:42] and

[00:10:42] my

[00:10:42] own

[00:10:42] world

[00:10:43] and

[00:10:43] my

[00:10:43] own

[00:10:43] life

[00:10:44] that's

[00:10:45] because

[00:10:45] I

[00:10:46] find

[00:10:46] it

[00:10:47] harder

[00:10:48] to

[00:10:48] tell

[00:10:49] stories

[00:10:49] and

[00:10:52] figmental

[00:10:54] pieces

[00:10:55] of

[00:10:57] narrative

[00:10:57] that

[00:11:00] I

[00:11:01] do

[00:11:01] a lot

[00:11:01] in

[00:11:01] Swedish

[00:11:02] in my

[00:11:02] Swedish

[00:11:02] equivalent

[00:11:03] to this

[00:11:03] podcast

[00:11:04] I

[00:11:04] don't

[00:11:06] I

[00:11:08] don't

[00:11:08] really

[00:11:08] find

[00:11:09] it

[00:11:09] that

[00:11:10] easy

[00:11:10] I

[00:11:11] have

[00:11:11] tried

[00:11:11] a

[00:11:12] few

[00:11:12] times

[00:11:13] in

[00:11:13] this

[00:11:13] podcast

[00:11:13] to

[00:11:14] just

[00:11:14] tell

[00:11:15] pure

[00:11:16] fictional

[00:11:17] stories

[00:11:19] and

[00:11:20] they

[00:11:21] turn out

[00:11:22] alright

[00:11:22] I guess

[00:11:23] but it's

[00:11:23] harder

[00:11:24] and

[00:11:24] it

[00:11:25] takes

[00:11:26] like

[00:11:27] a bit

[00:11:28] of

[00:11:28] courage

[00:11:28] for my

[00:11:29] end

[00:11:31] and

[00:11:32] I

[00:11:32] don't

[00:11:33] always

[00:11:33] possess

[00:11:34] that

[00:11:34] courage

[00:11:34] so

[00:11:35] today

[00:11:35] okay

[00:11:36] just

[00:11:36] because

[00:11:36] I

[00:11:38] said

[00:11:39] so

[00:11:39] I

[00:11:40] am

[00:11:40] going

[00:11:40] to

[00:11:40] force

[00:11:41] myself

[00:11:41] to

[00:11:41] tell

[00:11:42] you

[00:11:42] a

[00:11:42] purely

[00:11:43] fictional

[00:11:43] story

[00:11:44] today

[00:11:45] but

[00:11:45] I

[00:11:46] will

[00:11:46] also

[00:11:48] interrupt

[00:11:49] this

[00:11:50] story

[00:11:50] with

[00:11:50] personal

[00:11:52] segments

[00:11:53] from my

[00:11:54] own life

[00:11:54] and my

[00:11:55] own

[00:11:55] experiences

[00:11:56] as is

[00:11:57] always the

[00:11:58] case when

[00:11:59] I do

[00:11:59] stuff

[00:12:01] I

[00:12:01] always

[00:12:02] mix

[00:12:03] private

[00:12:04] and

[00:12:04] personal

[00:12:04] experiences

[00:12:06] into

[00:12:07] my

[00:12:07] stories

[00:12:08] or

[00:12:09] made

[00:12:10] up

[00:12:10] worlds

[00:12:11] so

[00:12:14] this

[00:12:14] story

[00:12:15] is

[00:12:15] about

[00:12:15] this

[00:12:16] old

[00:12:18] lady

[00:12:18] called

[00:12:19] nanny

[00:12:20] and

[00:12:21] she's

[00:12:22] living

[00:12:22] in

[00:12:22] a

[00:12:22] hut

[00:12:23] near

[00:12:24] a

[00:12:24] river

[00:12:25] and

[00:12:26] every

[00:12:26] day

[00:12:27] she

[00:12:27] looks

[00:12:27] out

[00:12:28] over

[00:12:29] the

[00:12:29] river

[00:12:29] and

[00:12:29] she

[00:12:30] sees

[00:12:30] that

[00:12:31] nothing

[00:12:31] has

[00:12:32] changed

[00:12:32] the

[00:12:35] river

[00:12:35] just

[00:12:35] flows

[00:12:36] from

[00:12:36] one

[00:12:37] direction

[00:12:37] to

[00:12:37] the

[00:12:38] other

[00:12:39] or

[00:12:39] rather

[00:12:40] the

[00:12:41] river

[00:12:41] just

[00:12:41] flows

[00:12:42] in

[00:12:42] one

[00:12:42] direction

[00:12:44] is

[00:12:45] maybe

[00:12:45] the

[00:12:46] proper

[00:12:46] way

[00:12:46] to

[00:12:46] say

[00:12:48] this

[00:12:50] and

[00:12:52] every

[00:12:52] day

[00:12:53] is

[00:12:54] in

[00:12:55] that

[00:12:55] manner

[00:12:56] the

[00:12:57] same

[00:12:57] the

[00:12:58] trees

[00:12:59] on the

[00:13:00] opposite

[00:13:00] side

[00:13:00] of

[00:13:00] the

[00:13:01] river

[00:13:01] it's

[00:13:01] not

[00:13:01] a

[00:13:01] very

[00:13:02] big

[00:13:02] river

[00:13:02] it's

[00:13:02] like

[00:13:04] 10

[00:13:04] or

[00:13:05] 15

[00:13:05] meters

[00:13:05] across

[00:13:06] so

[00:13:08] she

[00:13:09] lives

[00:13:09] by

[00:13:12] creek

[00:13:15] and

[00:13:20] well

[00:13:21] the

[00:13:23] vegetation

[00:13:23] around

[00:13:24] the

[00:13:24] river

[00:13:25] are

[00:13:25] these

[00:13:26] large

[00:13:27] trees

[00:13:30] with

[00:13:32] an

[00:13:33] accumulated

[00:13:34] age

[00:13:34] of

[00:13:35] thousands

[00:13:36] and

[00:13:36] thousands

[00:13:36] of

[00:13:37] years

[00:13:37] old

[00:13:37] and

[00:13:39] she's

[00:13:39] also

[00:13:40] old

[00:13:42] but

[00:13:43] not

[00:13:44] old

[00:13:44] in

[00:13:46] the

[00:13:46] same

[00:13:46] way

[00:13:47] Greenland

[00:13:48] shark

[00:13:48] can

[00:13:49] be

[00:13:50] old

[00:13:53] is

[00:13:54] it

[00:13:54] called

[00:13:54] Greenland

[00:13:55] shark

[00:13:55] or

[00:13:55] is

[00:13:56] it

[00:13:56] the

[00:13:56] Greenland

[00:13:56] whale

[00:13:57] in

[00:14:00] Swedish

[00:14:00] we

[00:14:00] say

[00:14:00] Grönlands

[00:14:01] val

[00:14:02] but

[00:14:03] I've

[00:14:03] heard

[00:14:03] somewhere

[00:14:04] that

[00:14:04] the

[00:14:04] Greenland

[00:14:05] shark

[00:14:06] is

[00:14:07] the

[00:14:07] proper

[00:14:09] title

[00:14:11] anyway

[00:14:11] I

[00:14:12] read

[00:14:12] somewhere

[00:14:13] that

[00:14:13] they

[00:14:20] 150

[00:14:20] 500

[00:14:21] years

[00:14:22] old

[00:14:24] that

[00:14:25] means

[00:14:25] that

[00:14:26] there

[00:14:26] are

[00:14:26] Greenland

[00:14:27] sharks

[00:14:27] swimming

[00:14:28] in the

[00:14:28] deep

[00:14:29] cold

[00:14:29] depths

[00:14:31] right

[00:14:32] now

[00:14:32] that

[00:14:33] were

[00:14:34] alive

[00:14:34] during

[00:14:34] the

[00:14:35] years

[00:14:36] of

[00:14:36] William

[00:14:36] Shakespeare

[00:14:37] not

[00:14:37] even

[00:14:37] knowing

[00:14:38] about

[00:14:38] it

[00:14:40] that's

[00:14:42] amazing

[00:14:43] to me

[00:14:44] but

[00:14:45] Nanny

[00:14:46] is not

[00:14:46] that

[00:14:48] old

[00:14:48] she's

[00:14:49] 76

[00:14:50] years

[00:14:50] old

[00:14:52] and

[00:14:52] she's

[00:14:53] well

[00:14:56] she's

[00:14:56] not

[00:14:57] bored

[00:14:59] but

[00:14:59] she's

[00:15:00] seen

[00:15:00] it all

[00:15:00] you know

[00:15:03] every

[00:15:04] day

[00:15:05] is

[00:15:05] sort

[00:15:05] of

[00:15:06] the

[00:15:06] same

[00:15:06] in

[00:15:06] her

[00:15:06] world

[00:15:09] she's

[00:15:09] lived

[00:15:09] long

[00:15:10] enough

[00:15:10] to

[00:15:10] see

[00:15:10] people

[00:15:11] come

[00:15:11] and

[00:15:11] go

[00:15:13] because

[00:15:14] she

[00:15:15] has

[00:15:15] this

[00:15:17] curious

[00:15:18] thing

[00:15:18] about

[00:15:19] her

[00:15:19] and

[00:15:19] that

[00:15:20] is

[00:15:20] that

[00:15:20] she

[00:15:20] doesn't

[00:15:21] age

[00:15:21] now

[00:15:24] that's

[00:15:24] a

[00:15:38] people

[00:15:39] stopped

[00:15:39] caring

[00:15:41] really

[00:15:42] she

[00:15:43] had a

[00:15:44] family

[00:15:44] but

[00:15:45] they

[00:15:46] were

[00:15:46] all

[00:15:46] taken

[00:15:46] away

[00:15:47] from

[00:15:47] her

[00:15:47] when

[00:15:48] she

[00:15:48] was

[00:15:48] way

[00:15:48] too

[00:15:49] young

[00:15:50] and

[00:15:50] since

[00:15:51] then

[00:15:51] she's

[00:15:51] lived

[00:15:52] alone

[00:15:52] and

[00:15:52] she

[00:15:53] prefers

[00:15:53] it

[00:15:53] that

[00:15:54] way

[00:15:56] because

[00:15:57] she

[00:15:57] has

[00:15:58] this

[00:15:59] very

[00:16:00] weird

[00:16:02] trait

[00:16:03] she

[00:16:04] still

[00:16:04] looks

[00:16:05] like

[00:16:05] she's

[00:16:06] 20

[00:16:07] but

[00:16:09] she's

[00:16:09] 76

[00:16:10] and

[00:16:13] she

[00:16:17] has

[00:16:18] some

[00:16:19] sort

[00:16:20] of

[00:16:20] accumulated

[00:16:21] wealth

[00:16:21] she

[00:16:22] started

[00:16:22] saving

[00:16:23] at

[00:16:23] an

[00:16:24] early

[00:16:24] age

[00:16:24] and

[00:16:25] that

[00:16:27] money

[00:16:27] has

[00:16:28] now

[00:16:28] accumulated

[00:16:29] to

[00:16:29] a

[00:16:29] sum

[00:16:30] that

[00:16:30] she's

[00:16:31] able

[00:16:32] to

[00:16:32] live

[00:16:32] off

[00:16:32] each

[00:16:34] month

[00:16:34] so

[00:16:35] she

[00:16:35] hasn't

[00:16:35] a

[00:16:36] real

[00:16:36] she

[00:16:37] hasn't

[00:16:37] ever

[00:16:38] really

[00:16:38] had

[00:16:38] a

[00:16:39] real

[00:16:39] job

[00:16:40] she

[00:16:41] had

[00:16:41] this

[00:16:43] she's

[00:16:43] had

[00:16:43] this

[00:16:44] she

[00:16:45] led

[00:16:45] a

[00:16:45] life

[00:16:46] of

[00:16:46] you

[00:16:47] know

[00:16:48] living

[00:16:48] off

[00:16:48] the

[00:16:48] land

[00:16:49] she

[00:16:50] owns

[00:16:50] this

[00:16:50] little

[00:16:51] piece

[00:16:51] of

[00:16:51] land

[00:16:52] around

[00:16:52] that

[00:16:53] very

[00:16:53] particular

[00:16:53] creek

[00:16:54] of

[00:16:54] this

[00:16:54] river

[00:16:55] I'm

[00:16:56] not

[00:16:56] going

[00:16:56] to

[00:16:56] say

[00:16:56] where

[00:16:57] this

[00:16:57] river

[00:16:57] is

[00:16:58] because

[00:16:58] then

[00:16:59] you

[00:16:59] will

[00:16:59] just

[00:16:59] want

[00:16:59] to

[00:16:59] go

[00:17:00] there

[00:17:00] and

[00:17:00] disturb

[00:17:01] her

[00:17:01] because

[00:17:02] she's

[00:17:02] still

[00:17:02] alive

[00:17:03] the

[00:17:07] fact

[00:17:07] is

[00:17:07] that

[00:17:08] Nanny

[00:17:09] can't

[00:17:09] die

[00:17:10] she's

[00:17:11] immortal

[00:17:12] and

[00:17:13] before

[00:17:14] you

[00:17:14] run

[00:17:14] off

[00:17:14] climbing

[00:17:15] the

[00:17:16] church

[00:17:16] tower

[00:17:17] just

[00:17:17] yelling

[00:17:17] out

[00:17:18] over

[00:17:18] the

[00:17:18] county

[00:17:19] that

[00:17:19] this

[00:17:20] is an

[00:17:21] illogical

[00:17:22] story

[00:17:22] people

[00:17:23] can't

[00:17:24] just

[00:17:24] go

[00:17:24] around

[00:17:25] being

[00:17:25] immortal

[00:17:26] let

[00:17:27] me

[00:17:27] just

[00:17:29] give

[00:17:29] you a

[00:17:30] quick

[00:17:30] comment

[00:17:30] to

[00:17:31] that

[00:17:31] I

[00:17:31] know

[00:17:32] that

[00:17:32] this

[00:17:33] is

[00:17:33] viewed

[00:17:34] upon

[00:17:35] as

[00:17:35] impossible

[00:17:36] but

[00:17:36] in

[00:17:36] my

[00:17:36] imagination

[00:17:37] right

[00:17:37] now

[00:17:38] immortality

[00:17:39] is

[00:17:39] possible

[00:17:40] but

[00:17:40] for

[00:17:41] one

[00:17:41] person

[00:17:41] on

[00:17:43] earth

[00:17:43] and

[00:17:44] that's

[00:17:44] Nanny

[00:17:46] so

[00:17:46] she

[00:17:47] has

[00:17:47] some

[00:17:47] sort

[00:17:47] of

[00:17:48] genetic

[00:17:48] traits

[00:17:48] that

[00:17:49] permits

[00:17:50] her

[00:17:52] and

[00:17:53] that

[00:17:54] includes

[00:17:54] dying

[00:17:55] by

[00:17:55] accidents

[00:17:56] and

[00:17:57] violence

[00:17:58] and

[00:17:59] any

[00:17:59] type

[00:18:00] of

[00:18:00] harm

[00:18:01] she

[00:18:03] simply

[00:18:03] can't

[00:18:04] perish

[00:18:06] and

[00:18:07] that

[00:18:08] at a

[00:18:09] first

[00:18:10] glance

[00:18:11] that

[00:18:11] sounds

[00:18:12] that looks

[00:18:13] like

[00:18:13] really

[00:18:14] positive

[00:18:16] you know

[00:18:16] imagine

[00:18:18] not

[00:18:20] being able

[00:18:20] to

[00:18:24] experience

[00:18:25] endings

[00:18:28] but

[00:18:28] then

[00:18:29] again

[00:18:29] that's

[00:18:30] all

[00:18:30] she

[00:18:31] ever

[00:18:31] does

[00:18:32] if

[00:18:34] you

[00:18:34] live

[00:18:34] long

[00:18:35] enough

[00:18:37] you

[00:18:37] get to

[00:18:38] see

[00:18:38] so

[00:18:38] many

[00:18:39] endings

[00:18:39] and

[00:18:40] in

[00:18:40] Nanny's

[00:18:41] case

[00:18:42] the

[00:18:43] endings

[00:18:44] are

[00:18:44] endless

[00:18:45] you know

[00:18:46] since

[00:18:47] she

[00:18:47] doesn't

[00:18:48] ever

[00:18:48] end

[00:18:49] herself

[00:18:49] she

[00:18:51] gets

[00:18:51] to

[00:18:51] see

[00:18:51] end

[00:18:52] upon

[00:18:52] end

[00:18:53] upon

[00:18:53] end

[00:18:53] of

[00:18:54] stuff

[00:18:54] and

[00:18:55] that's

[00:18:55] why

[00:18:55] she

[00:18:56] really

[00:18:56] likes

[00:18:56] it

[00:18:56] alone

[00:18:57] and

[00:18:58] she's

[00:18:59] only

[00:18:59] 76

[00:19:03] that's

[00:19:03] not

[00:19:03] an

[00:19:04] age

[00:19:04] compared

[00:19:05] to

[00:19:05] eternity

[00:19:06] or

[00:19:07] whatever

[00:19:08] time span

[00:19:09] she has

[00:19:09] because

[00:19:10] she

[00:19:10] doesn't

[00:19:11] know

[00:19:12] the

[00:19:12] doctor

[00:19:13] doesn't

[00:19:13] know

[00:19:13] what's

[00:19:14] what

[00:19:15] makes

[00:19:15] her

[00:19:16] her

[00:19:18] nobody

[00:19:19] knows

[00:19:20] and

[00:19:21] she's

[00:19:22] been

[00:19:22] sort

[00:19:22] of

[00:19:23] viewed

[00:19:24] upon

[00:19:24] as

[00:19:25] sort

[00:19:25] of

[00:19:26] a

[00:19:26] circus

[00:19:26] freak

[00:19:28] back

[00:19:29] in

[00:19:29] the

[00:19:29] day

[00:19:29] when

[00:19:30] she

[00:19:30] turned

[00:19:31] 50

[00:19:31] and

[00:19:31] still

[00:19:32] 20

[00:19:32] people

[00:19:33] looked

[00:19:34] at

[00:19:34] her

[00:19:34] as

[00:19:34] a

[00:19:34] curiosity

[00:19:35] and

[00:19:35] she

[00:19:36] was

[00:19:36] asked

[00:19:37] about

[00:19:37] her

[00:19:37] way

[00:19:37] of

[00:19:38] life

[00:19:38] and

[00:19:38] now

[00:19:39] when

[00:19:39] she

[00:19:40] turned

[00:19:40] 60

[00:19:40] people

[00:19:41] were

[00:19:41] just

[00:19:41] this

[00:19:43] isn't

[00:19:44] logical

[00:19:46] and

[00:19:46] people

[00:19:47] started

[00:19:48] to be

[00:19:48] scared

[00:19:49] and

[00:19:50] almost

[00:19:51] 80

[00:19:51] years

[00:19:52] of

[00:19:52] old

[00:19:52] 80

[00:19:53] years

[00:19:53] of

[00:19:54] age

[00:19:55] she's

[00:19:57] viewed

[00:19:57] upon

[00:19:58] as

[00:19:58] kind

[00:20:01] of

[00:20:01] scary

[00:20:02] that

[00:20:03] scary

[00:20:03] old

[00:20:03] lady

[00:20:04] that

[00:20:04] looks

[00:20:04] like

[00:20:05] a

[00:20:05] young

[00:20:05] woman

[00:20:05] living

[00:20:06] alone

[00:20:06] by

[00:20:07] the

[00:20:07] creek

[00:20:08] down

[00:20:08] river

[00:20:11] and

[00:20:13] every

[00:20:17] day

[00:20:18] she

[00:20:18] just

[00:20:21] walks

[00:20:22] out

[00:20:22] of

[00:20:22] her

[00:20:22] hut

[00:20:23] sits

[00:20:24] by

[00:20:24] the

[00:20:24] river

[00:20:26] drinking

[00:20:27] her

[00:20:27] morning

[00:20:28] tea

[00:20:28] watching

[00:20:29] the

[00:20:30] stream

[00:20:30] and

[00:20:31] the

[00:20:32] only

[00:20:32] thing

[00:20:32] that's

[00:20:33] always

[00:20:33] different

[00:20:35] the

[00:20:36] only

[00:20:36] thing

[00:20:37] in

[00:20:37] her

[00:20:37] world

[00:20:37] that's

[00:20:38] always

[00:20:38] unique

[00:20:38] and

[00:20:39] she

[00:20:40] realized

[00:20:40] that

[00:20:40] since

[00:20:41] being

[00:20:42] immortal

[00:20:43] you

[00:20:44] need

[00:20:44] like

[00:20:46] that

[00:20:47] mindset

[00:20:47] that

[00:20:48] immortal

[00:20:48] mindset

[00:20:49] to

[00:20:49] have an

[00:20:51] open

[00:20:51] mind

[00:20:52] to

[00:20:52] these

[00:20:52] sort

[00:20:52] of

[00:20:52] subtle

[00:20:53] changes

[00:20:53] and

[00:20:54] that

[00:20:54] is

[00:20:55] that

[00:20:55] the

[00:20:55] river

[00:20:55] itself

[00:20:56] carries

[00:20:57] itself

[00:20:58] with a

[00:20:58] different

[00:20:59] quality

[00:20:59] and

[00:21:00] energy

[00:21:00] every

[00:21:00] day

[00:21:01] so

[00:21:01] no

[00:21:03] day

[00:21:03] are

[00:21:04] the

[00:21:05] same

[00:21:05] as far

[00:21:08] as the

[00:21:08] river

[00:21:09] goes

[00:21:09] the river

[00:21:12] shifts

[00:21:12] like

[00:21:13] constantly

[00:21:13] and it

[00:21:15] doesn't do

[00:21:15] it in

[00:21:15] cycles

[00:21:16] like most

[00:21:17] other

[00:21:17] things

[00:21:18] seasons

[00:21:21] lifespans

[00:21:24] relationships

[00:21:28] it's

[00:21:28] always

[00:21:30] different

[00:21:30] it's

[00:21:31] almost

[00:21:31] like

[00:21:32] the river

[00:21:32] itself

[00:21:33] decides

[00:21:34] whether

[00:21:35] or not

[00:21:36] it's

[00:21:37] going to

[00:21:37] be this

[00:21:37] or that

[00:21:38] way

[00:21:39] at any

[00:21:40] given

[00:21:40] day

[00:21:41] it's

[00:21:42] like

[00:21:42] the river

[00:21:43] has a

[00:21:43] mind

[00:21:44] of its

[00:21:44] own

[00:21:45] and

[00:21:46] nanny

[00:21:46] fully

[00:21:47] believes

[00:21:47] that

[00:21:48] so

[00:21:51] every

[00:21:51] day

[00:21:52] when she

[00:21:52] comes

[00:21:52] out

[00:21:53] the

[00:21:53] hut

[00:21:54] and

[00:21:55] gazes

[00:21:55] upon

[00:21:56] the river

[00:21:57] the river

[00:21:58] has

[00:21:59] like

[00:22:00] this

[00:22:00] difference

[00:22:01] in

[00:22:02] color

[00:22:02] shape

[00:22:03] energy

[00:22:04] the

[00:22:06] stream

[00:22:06] is

[00:22:06] different

[00:22:08] and

[00:22:09] not

[00:22:10] always

[00:22:10] in a

[00:22:11] good

[00:22:11] way

[00:22:12] the river

[00:22:18] is

[00:22:19] never

[00:22:20] a good

[00:22:20] friend

[00:22:22] it's

[00:22:23] always

[00:22:25] its

[00:22:26] own

[00:22:26] you know

[00:22:26] the river

[00:22:28] doesn't

[00:22:29] care

[00:22:29] that she's

[00:22:30] there

[00:22:31] so

[00:22:32] if it

[00:22:32] wants

[00:22:33] to

[00:22:33] flood

[00:22:33] her

[00:22:33] hut

[00:22:34] it's

[00:22:35] just

[00:22:35] going

[00:22:36] to

[00:22:36] do

[00:22:36] that

[00:22:37] if

[00:22:38] it

[00:22:38] wants

[00:22:38] to

[00:22:38] be

[00:22:39] like

[00:22:39] this

[00:22:40] little

[00:22:42] stream

[00:22:42] this

[00:22:43] little

[00:22:44] what do

[00:22:45] you call

[00:22:45] it

[00:22:46] this

[00:22:47] little

[00:22:48] puddle

[00:22:49] in the

[00:22:49] middle

[00:22:49] of the

[00:22:53] flood

[00:22:54] what do

[00:22:55] you call

[00:22:55] it

[00:22:56] in

[00:22:57] Swedish

[00:22:57] we say

[00:22:57] flood

[00:22:58] foran

[00:23:00] you

[00:23:01] know

[00:23:01] the

[00:23:01] dug

[00:23:03] out

[00:23:03] ground

[00:23:04] where

[00:23:04] the

[00:23:04] river

[00:23:05] flows

[00:23:05] the

[00:23:06] river

[00:23:06] has

[00:23:06] carved

[00:23:07] this

[00:23:09] pit

[00:23:11] where

[00:23:11] it

[00:23:12] flows

[00:23:12] I don't

[00:23:13] know

[00:23:13] what

[00:23:13] you call

[00:23:14] it

[00:23:14] the

[00:23:15] banks

[00:23:17] between

[00:23:18] the

[00:23:18] banks

[00:23:18] it

[00:23:22] doesn't

[00:23:22] care

[00:23:23] and

[00:23:24] that's

[00:23:24] a

[00:23:24] fascinating

[00:23:25] thing

[00:23:25] once

[00:23:26] you've

[00:23:27] discovered

[00:23:27] it

[00:23:27] I

[00:23:28] and

[00:23:29] here

[00:23:29] it

[00:23:29] comes

[00:23:29] my

[00:23:30] own

[00:23:30] personal

[00:23:31] experience

[00:23:31] in this

[00:23:32] matter

[00:23:32] I

[00:23:33] worked

[00:23:33] for

[00:23:34] many

[00:23:34] years

[00:23:34] at

[00:23:34] this

[00:23:36] river

[00:23:39] and

[00:23:40] every

[00:23:41] day

[00:23:42] I was

[00:23:43] acting

[00:23:43] I was

[00:23:44] doing

[00:23:44] a

[00:23:44] play

[00:23:44] and

[00:23:45] the

[00:23:45] play

[00:23:45] took

[00:23:45] place

[00:23:46] outside

[00:23:46] so

[00:23:47] there

[00:23:47] was

[00:23:47] this

[00:23:48] outside

[00:23:50] large

[00:23:50] stage

[00:23:52] which

[00:23:52] was

[00:23:52] really

[00:23:53] just

[00:23:55] a

[00:23:55] grass

[00:23:56] and

[00:23:56] dirt

[00:23:56] stage

[00:23:57] you know

[00:23:57] with

[00:23:58] houses

[00:23:58] on

[00:23:58] real

[00:23:59] houses

[00:24:00] and

[00:24:00] the

[00:24:00] audience

[00:24:01] sat

[00:24:02] on

[00:24:04] chairs

[00:24:04] and

[00:24:05] benches

[00:24:05] on a

[00:24:06] hill

[00:24:07] like

[00:24:07] opposite

[00:24:08] the

[00:24:08] stage

[00:24:08] it

[00:24:09] was

[00:24:09] all

[00:24:10] just

[00:24:10] dug

[00:24:11] out

[00:24:11] from

[00:24:12] the

[00:24:12] environment

[00:24:13] and

[00:24:14] behind

[00:24:14] all

[00:24:15] the

[00:24:15] houses

[00:24:15] were

[00:24:16] this

[00:24:17] river

[00:24:20] and

[00:24:23] every

[00:24:23] day

[00:24:24] in between

[00:24:24] my

[00:24:24] scenes

[00:24:25] or

[00:24:26] before

[00:24:26] and

[00:24:27] after

[00:24:27] the

[00:24:28] play

[00:24:28] was

[00:24:28] over

[00:24:29] I

[00:24:30] sat

[00:24:30] at

[00:24:31] a

[00:24:31] folding

[00:24:32] chair

[00:24:32] and

[00:24:38] just

[00:24:39] looked

[00:24:39] at

[00:24:40] the

[00:24:40] river

[00:24:40] and

[00:24:42] it's

[00:24:43] really

[00:24:44] truly

[00:24:44] amazing

[00:24:45] what a

[00:24:45] river

[00:24:46] can do

[00:24:46] to your

[00:24:47] mind

[00:24:49] once

[00:24:50] you've

[00:24:51] looked

[00:24:51] at it

[00:24:51] for

[00:24:51] long

[00:24:52] enough

[00:24:52] it's

[00:24:53] not

[00:24:53] the

[00:24:54] same

[00:24:54] as

[00:24:54] looking

[00:24:54] at

[00:24:55] a

[00:24:56] vivid

[00:24:57] violent

[00:24:58] stream

[00:24:59] a cascade

[00:25:00] of water

[00:25:01] this

[00:25:02] river

[00:25:03] is

[00:25:03] like

[00:25:05] it

[00:25:05] looks

[00:25:06] calm

[00:25:10] steadily

[00:25:10] and

[00:25:10] slowly

[00:25:11] but

[00:25:12] I

[00:25:13] swimmed

[00:25:13] in

[00:25:14] that

[00:25:14] stream

[00:25:15] and

[00:25:16] the

[00:25:17] force

[00:25:18] is

[00:25:18] like

[00:25:19] really

[00:25:20] strong

[00:25:20] you

[00:25:21] can be

[00:25:22] drawn

[00:25:22] downstream

[00:25:23] like

[00:25:23] kilometers

[00:25:24] if

[00:25:26] you're

[00:25:26] not

[00:25:26] careful

[00:25:26] it's

[00:25:27] very

[00:25:28] hard

[00:25:28] to

[00:25:28] swim

[00:25:28] across

[00:25:29] it

[00:25:29] and

[00:25:32] every

[00:25:32] day

[00:25:33] we're

[00:25:34] like

[00:25:36] this

[00:25:37] totally

[00:25:38] unique

[00:25:38] world

[00:25:39] by

[00:25:39] the

[00:25:40] river

[00:25:40] I

[00:25:43] was

[00:25:43] only

[00:25:43] there

[00:25:43] in

[00:25:44] summertime

[00:25:44] so

[00:25:44] I

[00:25:45] don't

[00:25:45] know

[00:25:45] whether

[00:25:46] or not

[00:25:46] this

[00:25:46] applies

[00:25:48] to

[00:25:48] the

[00:25:49] winter

[00:25:49] stream

[00:25:50] as

[00:25:50] well

[00:25:52] but

[00:25:53] I

[00:25:53] could

[00:25:53] come

[00:25:53] there

[00:25:54] in

[00:25:54] the

[00:25:54] morning

[00:25:54] and

[00:25:56] there

[00:25:57] could

[00:25:57] be

[00:25:57] this

[00:25:58] cloudy

[00:26:00] thunderstorm

[00:26:00] on its

[00:26:01] way

[00:26:03] and

[00:26:04] the

[00:26:06] clouds

[00:26:06] it

[00:26:07] was

[00:26:07] almost

[00:26:08] like

[00:26:09] the

[00:26:09] clouds

[00:26:09] and

[00:26:10] the

[00:26:13] were

[00:26:13] dressed

[00:26:14] to

[00:26:14] wear

[00:26:14] today

[00:26:15] because

[00:26:16] the

[00:26:16] clouds

[00:26:16] and

[00:26:17] the

[00:26:18] river

[00:26:19] were

[00:26:19] almost

[00:26:20] identical

[00:26:21] almost

[00:26:22] every

[00:26:23] time

[00:26:23] not

[00:26:24] every

[00:26:24] time

[00:26:24] sometimes

[00:26:25] they

[00:26:25] differed

[00:26:26] like

[00:26:27] a lot

[00:26:27] and

[00:26:28] then

[00:26:28] you

[00:26:29] realized

[00:26:29] you

[00:26:30] discovered

[00:26:31] that

[00:26:32] because

[00:26:32] it was

[00:26:33] so

[00:26:34] unconventional

[00:26:35] because

[00:26:38] they were

[00:26:38] almost

[00:26:39] always

[00:26:39] hand in

[00:26:40] hand

[00:26:40] in

[00:26:41] that

[00:26:41] regard

[00:26:41] and

[00:26:42] the river

[00:26:46] could be

[00:26:47] pitch

[00:26:47] black

[00:26:48] like

[00:26:50] this

[00:26:51] little

[00:26:51] lake

[00:26:51] in a

[00:26:52] forest

[00:26:52] but

[00:26:54] constantly

[00:26:56] moving

[00:26:56] with

[00:26:57] small

[00:26:58] but

[00:26:58] extremely

[00:27:00] forceful

[00:27:01] vortexes

[00:27:03] like

[00:27:03] scattered

[00:27:05] around

[00:27:05] caused

[00:27:07] by

[00:27:08] rocks

[00:27:09] and

[00:27:09] wood

[00:27:13] floating

[00:27:13] by

[00:27:14] or

[00:27:14] being

[00:27:14] stuck

[00:27:15] at

[00:27:15] the

[00:27:15] bottom

[00:27:15] I

[00:27:20] especially

[00:27:20] liked

[00:27:21] when

[00:27:21] the river

[00:27:22] was

[00:27:22] pitch

[00:27:22] black

[00:27:24] I

[00:27:25] don't

[00:27:25] know

[00:27:25] why

[00:27:25] I

[00:27:25] I've

[00:27:26] always

[00:27:27] enjoyed

[00:27:28] pitch

[00:27:29] black

[00:27:29] stuff

[00:27:31] I'm

[00:27:32] not

[00:27:32] sure

[00:27:32] why

[00:27:33] I

[00:27:33] think

[00:27:33] it

[00:27:35] makes

[00:27:36] me

[00:27:36] feel

[00:27:37] safe

[00:27:38] I

[00:27:39] know

[00:27:40] that

[00:27:40] sounds

[00:27:41] weird

[00:27:41] but

[00:27:44] I

[00:27:44] view

[00:27:45] myself

[00:27:46] as

[00:27:46] sort

[00:27:47] of

[00:27:47] a

[00:27:47] thin

[00:27:49] layer

[00:27:50] of

[00:27:50] comprehensible

[00:27:51] stuff

[00:27:52] and then

[00:27:52] beneath

[00:27:53] it's

[00:27:54] just

[00:27:55] this

[00:27:56] black

[00:27:56] void

[00:27:57] and

[00:27:58] I'm

[00:28:01] more

[00:28:02] afraid

[00:28:02] of that

[00:28:03] void

[00:28:03] when I

[00:28:03] try to

[00:28:04] pretend

[00:28:05] like it

[00:28:06] doesn't

[00:28:06] exist

[00:28:08] whenever I

[00:28:10] say yes

[00:28:10] to that

[00:28:11] void

[00:28:11] because

[00:28:12] I

[00:28:12] believe

[00:28:13] I

[00:28:13] truly

[00:28:13] believe

[00:28:13] that

[00:28:14] we

[00:28:14] all

[00:28:14] carry

[00:28:14] that

[00:28:15] within

[00:28:15] us

[00:28:15] whenever

[00:28:16] I

[00:28:17] say

[00:28:17] yes

[00:28:19] yeah

[00:28:19] you're

[00:28:20] there

[00:28:21] hello

[00:28:22] void

[00:28:23] I

[00:28:24] feel

[00:28:25] some

[00:28:28] sort

[00:28:28] of

[00:28:28] comfort

[00:28:29] I

[00:28:29] guess

[00:28:29] so

[00:28:36] I

[00:28:36] I

[00:28:36] really

[00:28:37] love

[00:28:37] that

[00:28:37] and

[00:28:41] one

[00:28:41] day

[00:28:42] this

[00:28:43] job

[00:28:43] that I

[00:28:44] had

[00:28:44] was

[00:28:45] a

[00:28:45] very

[00:28:45] turbulent

[00:28:45] one

[00:28:46] many

[00:28:47] acting

[00:28:48] jobs

[00:28:48] especially

[00:28:49] those

[00:28:49] when

[00:28:49] you're

[00:28:50] out

[00:28:50] of

[00:28:50] town

[00:28:51] and

[00:28:52] you

[00:28:53] meet

[00:28:53] people

[00:28:53] that

[00:28:54] you

[00:28:54] get

[00:28:54] to

[00:28:54] hang

[00:28:54] out

[00:28:55] with

[00:28:55] like

[00:28:55] very

[00:28:56] intensively

[00:28:57] and

[00:28:57] frequently

[00:28:58] for a

[00:28:58] short

[00:28:59] period

[00:28:59] of

[00:28:59] time

[00:28:59] and

[00:29:00] then

[00:29:00] you

[00:29:01] go

[00:29:01] back

[00:29:01] to

[00:29:01] your

[00:29:01] normal

[00:29:02] life

[00:29:02] it's

[00:29:04] almost

[00:29:04] like

[00:29:04] you're

[00:29:05] entering

[00:29:05] this

[00:29:05] separate

[00:29:06] world

[00:29:06] and

[00:29:07] this

[00:29:08] was

[00:29:08] during

[00:29:08] my

[00:29:08] younger

[00:29:09] years

[00:29:09] so

[00:29:09] I

[00:29:11] drank

[00:29:12] a lot

[00:29:14] not

[00:29:15] like

[00:29:15] more

[00:29:16] than

[00:29:16] other

[00:29:16] people

[00:29:17] it

[00:29:17] was

[00:29:18] like

[00:29:18] this

[00:29:18] really

[00:29:19] it

[00:29:20] was

[00:29:20] a

[00:29:20] very

[00:29:20] festive

[00:29:21] atmosphere

[00:29:22] and

[00:29:23] I

[00:29:23] really

[00:29:23] enjoyed

[00:29:24] it

[00:29:24] let

[00:29:24] me

[00:29:24] just

[00:29:24] say

[00:29:25] that

[00:29:25] first

[00:29:26] but

[00:29:27] if

[00:29:28] you've

[00:29:28] listened

[00:29:29] to

[00:29:29] this

[00:29:29] podcast

[00:29:29] long

[00:29:30] enough

[00:29:30] you

[00:29:30] know

[00:29:30] that

[00:29:31] I

[00:29:31] am

[00:29:32] sober

[00:29:32] today

[00:29:33] because

[00:29:33] I

[00:29:33] discovered

[00:29:34] that

[00:29:34] I

[00:29:34] really

[00:29:35] have

[00:29:36] a

[00:29:37] personality

[00:29:37] type

[00:29:38] that

[00:29:39] doesn't

[00:29:39] go

[00:29:39] well

[00:29:40] together

[00:29:40] with

[00:29:42] alcohol

[00:29:42] or

[00:29:43] other

[00:29:44] drugs

[00:29:44] for

[00:29:44] that

[00:29:45] matter

[00:29:46] so

[00:29:48] I

[00:29:49] decided

[00:29:49] to

[00:29:49] quit

[00:29:50] before

[00:29:50] it

[00:29:51] became

[00:29:52] this

[00:29:52] huge

[00:29:53] issue

[00:29:53] for

[00:29:53] me

[00:29:54] and

[00:29:55] it's

[00:29:55] always

[00:29:56] been

[00:29:56] this

[00:29:56] on

[00:29:57] and

[00:29:57] off

[00:29:57] relationship

[00:29:58] with

[00:29:58] alcohol

[00:29:59] my

[00:30:00] whole

[00:30:00] life

[00:30:01] has

[00:30:01] been

[00:30:01] like

[00:30:02] I'm

[00:30:02] not

[00:30:02] going

[00:30:03] to

[00:30:03] touch

[00:30:03] the

[00:30:03] stuff

[00:30:03] or

[00:30:05] I

[00:30:05] want

[00:30:06] to

[00:30:06] be

[00:30:06] drunk

[00:30:07] every

[00:30:07] day

[00:30:07] kind

[00:30:08] of

[00:30:08] thing

[00:30:09] and

[00:30:10] during

[00:30:12] my

[00:30:12] during

[00:30:16] my

[00:30:17] summer

[00:30:18] months

[00:30:19] in

[00:30:20] this

[00:30:20] little

[00:30:21] village

[00:30:22] where

[00:30:24] the

[00:30:24] play

[00:30:25] was

[00:30:25] held

[00:30:26] I

[00:30:27] was

[00:30:27] on

[00:30:28] a

[00:30:28] very

[00:30:28] on

[00:30:28] phase

[00:30:30] regarding

[00:30:30] alcohol

[00:30:31] and

[00:30:33] that

[00:30:35] has

[00:30:35] never

[00:30:35] been

[00:30:35] easy

[00:30:36] for

[00:30:36] me

[00:30:36] my

[00:30:38] conscious

[00:30:38] and

[00:30:39] my

[00:30:42] hypochondria

[00:30:43] and my

[00:30:44] anxiety

[00:30:44] and stuff

[00:30:45] are being

[00:30:45] very

[00:30:52] so

[00:30:52] I

[00:30:52] had

[00:30:53] these

[00:30:54] extremely

[00:30:55] deep

[00:30:57] states

[00:30:57] of

[00:30:58] anxiety

[00:30:58] during

[00:30:59] my

[00:30:59] party

[00:31:00] days

[00:31:01] this

[00:31:03] was

[00:31:04] like

[00:31:05] 10

[00:31:06] 12

[00:31:07] years

[00:31:07] ago

[00:31:08] I

[00:31:08] guess

[00:31:08] and

[00:31:09] I'm

[00:31:12] going

[00:31:12] to

[00:31:13] return

[00:31:13] to

[00:31:13] this

[00:31:13] pitch

[00:31:14] black

[00:31:14] river

[00:31:14] in a

[00:31:15] second

[00:31:15] because

[00:31:16] this

[00:31:16] story

[00:31:16] has

[00:31:17] to

[00:31:17] do

[00:31:17] with

[00:31:17] that

[00:31:25] the

[00:31:25] river

[00:31:25] and

[00:31:25] I

[00:31:25] just

[00:31:26] looked

[00:31:26] at

[00:31:27] it

[00:31:27] and

[00:31:27] it

[00:31:27] was

[00:31:27] almost

[00:31:28] like

[00:31:28] my

[00:31:29] state

[00:31:30] of

[00:31:30] mind

[00:31:31] and

[00:31:31] the

[00:31:31] river

[00:31:31] became

[00:31:32] the

[00:31:32] same

[00:31:32] you

[00:31:33] know

[00:31:33] and

[00:31:34] it

[00:31:35] was

[00:31:35] a

[00:31:35] source

[00:31:35] of

[00:31:35] great

[00:31:36] comfort

[00:31:37] for

[00:31:37] me

[00:31:37] when

[00:31:37] the

[00:31:38] river

[00:31:38] was

[00:31:38] pitch

[00:31:38] black

[00:31:39] because

[00:31:39] I

[00:31:39] felt

[00:31:40] that

[00:31:40] I

[00:31:40] could

[00:31:41] relate

[00:31:42] to

[00:31:43] whatever

[00:31:44] was

[00:31:44] making

[00:31:44] the

[00:31:46] water

[00:31:46] pitch

[00:31:47] black

[00:31:47] you

[00:31:55] lost

[00:31:55] and

[00:31:55] homeless

[00:31:56] and

[00:31:56] depressed

[00:31:57] and

[00:31:57] also

[00:31:58] had

[00:31:58] a lot

[00:31:59] of

[00:31:59] longing

[00:31:59] and

[00:31:59] excitement

[00:32:00] and

[00:32:01] this

[00:32:02] urge

[00:32:03] for

[00:32:04] kicks

[00:32:04] and

[00:32:07] to be

[00:32:09] able

[00:32:09] to be

[00:32:09] happy

[00:32:09] about

[00:32:10] me

[00:32:10] and

[00:32:10] stuff

[00:32:11] so

[00:32:14] one

[00:32:14] day

[00:32:14] I

[00:32:15] decided

[00:32:16] that

[00:32:17] I'm

[00:32:17] done

[00:32:17] with

[00:32:18] this

[00:32:18] kind

[00:32:18] of

[00:32:18] life

[00:32:19] so

[00:32:20] over

[00:32:20] the

[00:32:20] years

[00:32:21] I

[00:32:21] had

[00:32:22] got

[00:32:23] a lot

[00:32:23] of

[00:32:24] flowers

[00:32:25] you

[00:32:26] tend

[00:32:26] to get

[00:32:26] that

[00:32:26] when

[00:32:27] you're

[00:32:27] on

[00:32:27] stage

[00:32:28] when

[00:32:29] the

[00:32:29] play

[00:32:29] is

[00:32:30] over

[00:32:30] you

[00:32:31] get

[00:32:31] flowers

[00:32:31] bouquets

[00:32:32] from

[00:32:34] either

[00:32:34] people

[00:32:34] you

[00:32:35] know

[00:32:35] coming

[00:32:35] to

[00:32:36] watch

[00:32:36] the

[00:32:36] show

[00:32:36] or

[00:32:37] the

[00:32:38] production

[00:32:38] itself

[00:32:38] as a

[00:32:39] thank

[00:32:40] you

[00:32:40] for

[00:32:41] delivering

[00:32:42] I

[00:32:42] guess

[00:32:43] and

[00:32:44] every

[00:32:44] year

[00:32:45] since

[00:32:46] this

[00:32:46] play

[00:32:46] was

[00:32:47] only

[00:32:47] held

[00:32:48] in

[00:32:48] the

[00:32:48] summers

[00:32:48] so

[00:32:49] the

[00:32:49] house

[00:32:50] where

[00:32:50] the

[00:32:50] main

[00:32:51] house

[00:32:52] on

[00:32:52] stage

[00:32:52] where

[00:32:53] we

[00:32:53] also

[00:32:54] had

[00:32:54] our

[00:32:54] dressing

[00:32:54] rooms

[00:32:55] and

[00:32:55] stuff

[00:32:55] it

[00:32:56] was

[00:32:56] just

[00:32:57] locked

[00:32:57] up

[00:32:57] for

[00:32:58] almost

[00:32:58] the

[00:32:58] entire

[00:32:59] year

[00:32:59] so

[00:33:02] I

[00:33:02] just

[00:33:02] saved

[00:33:03] the

[00:33:04] flowers

[00:33:06] whenever

[00:33:06] I was

[00:33:07] done

[00:33:07] for the

[00:33:08] year

[00:33:08] I

[00:33:08] just

[00:33:08] hang

[00:33:09] them up

[00:33:10] in my

[00:33:10] dressing

[00:33:10] room

[00:33:11] or

[00:33:11] rather

[00:33:12] it was

[00:33:12] it was not

[00:33:13] so much

[00:33:14] of a

[00:33:14] room

[00:33:14] it was

[00:33:15] more like

[00:33:15] a booth

[00:33:16] with a

[00:33:16] curtain

[00:33:17] in front

[00:33:17] of

[00:33:18] and

[00:33:19] I

[00:33:19] hung up

[00:33:21] my

[00:33:22] flowers

[00:33:22] there

[00:33:23] to dry

[00:33:23] and

[00:33:24] the

[00:33:25] next

[00:33:25] year

[00:33:25] I

[00:33:25] just

[00:33:26] hung

[00:33:26] up

[00:33:26] the

[00:33:27] next

[00:33:27] flowers

[00:33:28] you

[00:33:28] know

[00:33:28] I

[00:33:29] got

[00:33:29] so

[00:33:30] my

[00:33:30] dressing

[00:33:30] room

[00:33:30] was

[00:33:30] filled

[00:33:31] with

[00:33:32] dried

[00:33:32] flower

[00:33:33] bouquets

[00:33:34] roses

[00:33:35] and

[00:33:36] other

[00:33:37] flowers

[00:33:37] like

[00:33:37] different

[00:33:39] types

[00:33:39] of

[00:33:40] Swedish

[00:33:40] flowers

[00:33:42] and

[00:33:44] during

[00:33:45] one of

[00:33:46] my

[00:33:47] feeling

[00:33:48] guilty

[00:33:48] about

[00:33:49] my

[00:33:49] way

[00:33:49] of

[00:33:49] life

[00:33:50] episodes

[00:33:50] I

[00:33:51] just

[00:33:51] decided

[00:33:52] I'm

[00:33:52] not

[00:33:52] going

[00:33:52] to do

[00:33:53] this

[00:33:53] anymore

[00:33:53] I'm

[00:33:55] going

[00:33:55] to be

[00:33:57] dignified

[00:33:57] I'm

[00:33:58] going

[00:33:58] to

[00:33:59] be

[00:34:01] dignified

[00:34:03] I'm

[00:34:04] going

[00:34:04] to

[00:34:04] carry

[00:34:04] myself

[00:34:05] with

[00:34:05] dignity

[00:34:06] I'm

[00:34:07] through

[00:34:07] with

[00:34:07] this

[00:34:08] being

[00:34:08] drunk

[00:34:09] and

[00:34:09] hungover

[00:34:10] and

[00:34:10] hungover

[00:34:13] so I

[00:34:13] just

[00:34:14] took

[00:34:14] all the

[00:34:14] flowers

[00:34:14] and I

[00:34:15] went

[00:34:15] out

[00:34:15] to

[00:34:15] the

[00:34:16] river

[00:34:16] behind

[00:34:16] the

[00:34:17] house

[00:34:18] and

[00:34:19] I

[00:34:23] what

[00:34:24] do

[00:34:24] you

[00:34:24] call

[00:34:24] it

[00:34:25] the

[00:34:26] the

[00:34:27] pontoon

[00:34:28] behind

[00:34:29] the

[00:34:29] house

[00:34:29] it

[00:34:30] was

[00:34:30] this

[00:34:31] wooden

[00:34:33] bridge

[00:34:34] like

[00:34:34] you

[00:34:36] could

[00:34:36] take

[00:34:36] that

[00:34:36] in

[00:34:37] order

[00:34:37] to

[00:34:38] avoid

[00:34:38] being

[00:34:39] seen

[00:34:39] by

[00:34:39] the

[00:34:39] audience

[00:34:40] you

[00:34:40] could

[00:34:40] go

[00:34:40] on

[00:34:41] this

[00:34:42] wooden

[00:34:42] plank

[00:34:43] passage

[00:34:44] behind

[00:34:45] down

[00:34:46] on

[00:34:46] the

[00:34:47] river

[00:34:47] so

[00:34:47] that

[00:34:47] you

[00:34:48] were

[00:34:48] hidden

[00:34:48] by

[00:34:48] the

[00:34:48] house

[00:34:49] and

[00:34:49] the

[00:34:50] bank

[00:34:50] down

[00:34:51] to

[00:34:51] the

[00:34:51] river

[00:34:52] so

[00:34:53] I

[00:34:53] went

[00:34:53] down

[00:34:54] there

[00:34:54] and

[00:34:54] there

[00:34:54] I

[00:34:54] was

[00:34:55] alone

[00:34:55] at

[00:34:56] the

[00:34:56] end

[00:34:56] of

[00:34:56] this

[00:34:57] walkway

[00:34:58] I

[00:34:59] just

[00:34:59] laid

[00:35:00] out

[00:35:01] all

[00:35:01] my

[00:35:02] flowers

[00:35:02] and

[00:35:03] it

[00:35:03] was

[00:35:03] almost

[00:35:04] like

[00:35:04] the

[00:35:05] river

[00:35:06] were

[00:35:06] made

[00:35:06] of

[00:35:07] this

[00:35:07] solid

[00:35:08] obsidian

[00:35:08] material

[00:35:10] I

[00:35:11] just

[00:35:11] put

[00:35:12] the

[00:35:12] flowers

[00:35:13] on

[00:35:13] top

[00:35:14] of

[00:35:14] the

[00:35:14] river

[00:35:14] that

[00:35:15] it

[00:35:15] seemed

[00:35:16] like

[00:35:16] this

[00:35:18] flat

[00:35:19] hard

[00:35:20] surface

[00:35:23] and

[00:35:23] I

[00:35:24] just

[00:35:25] laid

[00:35:25] them

[00:35:26] there

[00:35:27] and

[00:35:27] I

[00:35:28] watched

[00:35:28] them

[00:35:28] float

[00:35:29] away

[00:35:30] on

[00:35:30] this

[00:35:31] pitch

[00:35:31] black

[00:35:31] river

[00:35:33] and

[00:35:33] then

[00:35:33] one

[00:35:34] of

[00:35:34] my

[00:35:34] co-stars

[00:35:35] showed

[00:35:36] up

[00:35:36] and

[00:35:37] asked

[00:35:37] me

[00:35:37] what

[00:35:37] the

[00:35:38] hell

[00:35:38] are

[00:35:39] you

[00:35:39] doing

[00:35:39] like

[00:35:40] what

[00:35:41] are

[00:35:41] you

[00:35:41] crazy

[00:35:42] because

[00:35:42] it's

[00:35:42] like

[00:35:43] but I

[00:35:43] do

[00:35:44] stuff

[00:35:44] like

[00:35:44] that

[00:35:45] all

[00:35:45] the

[00:35:45] time

[00:35:46] I

[00:35:47] have

[00:35:47] this

[00:35:50] thing

[00:35:51] with

[00:35:53] ceremonies

[00:35:53] in a

[00:35:54] way

[00:35:54] I

[00:35:55] want

[00:35:56] to

[00:35:57] manifest

[00:35:57] big

[00:35:58] stuff

[00:35:59] that

[00:35:59] happens

[00:35:59] within

[00:36:00] me

[00:36:00] I

[00:36:00] want

[00:36:01] to

[00:36:01] manifest

[00:36:01] it

[00:36:01] on

[00:36:02] the

[00:36:02] outside

[00:36:02] so

[00:36:06] I

[00:36:06] did

[00:36:06] that

[00:36:08] and

[00:36:08] so

[00:36:12] of

[00:36:12] course

[00:36:12] Nanny

[00:36:13] she's

[00:36:14] done

[00:36:14] that

[00:36:14] a lot

[00:36:15] and

[00:36:16] now

[00:36:17] while

[00:36:18] I've

[00:36:18] been

[00:36:18] talking

[00:36:19] about

[00:36:19] my

[00:36:19] own

[00:36:19] personal

[00:36:20] life

[00:36:20] and

[00:36:21] experience

[00:36:21] with

[00:36:22] this

[00:36:22] my

[00:36:23] own

[00:36:23] river

[00:36:24] it's

[00:36:26] been

[00:36:27] 100

[00:36:28] years

[00:36:28] in

[00:36:29] Nanny's

[00:36:30] life

[00:36:30] so

[00:36:31] she's

[00:36:31] now

[00:36:33] 176

[00:36:34] and

[00:36:37] her

[00:36:38] wealth

[00:36:39] has

[00:36:40] now

[00:36:40] accumulated

[00:36:41] even

[00:36:41] more

[00:36:42] so

[00:36:42] she's

[00:36:42] well

[00:36:44] she's

[00:36:44] quite

[00:36:45] rich

[00:36:46] she

[00:36:47] placed

[00:36:49] her money

[00:36:49] at a

[00:36:50] young

[00:36:50] age

[00:36:51] she

[00:36:51] was

[00:36:53] smart

[00:36:54] enough

[00:36:54] to do

[00:36:54] that

[00:36:55] so

[00:36:56] since

[00:36:57] she's

[00:36:58] been

[00:36:58] living

[00:36:58] for

[00:36:59] 176

[00:37:00] years

[00:37:00] old

[00:37:01] this

[00:37:02] money

[00:37:02] has

[00:37:03] grown

[00:37:04] over

[00:37:05] decades

[00:37:05] and

[00:37:07] she's

[00:37:08] now

[00:37:08] quite

[00:37:08] wealthy

[00:37:09] but

[00:37:09] she

[00:37:10] only

[00:37:10] uses

[00:37:10] her

[00:37:11] money

[00:37:11] to

[00:37:11] keep

[00:37:14] up

[00:37:14] her

[00:37:14] own

[00:37:15] way

[00:37:15] of

[00:37:16] comfortable

[00:37:16] living

[00:37:17] she

[00:37:19] fell

[00:37:20] in

[00:37:20] love

[00:37:20] like

[00:37:20] 10

[00:37:21] years

[00:37:21] ago

[00:37:21] and

[00:37:22] married

[00:37:24] to

[00:37:24] another

[00:37:25] woman

[00:37:26] called

[00:37:26] Susie

[00:37:28] and

[00:37:29] Susie

[00:37:30] is

[00:37:30] well

[00:37:31] this is

[00:37:32] where

[00:37:32] it

[00:37:32] gets

[00:37:32] messy

[00:37:33] because

[00:37:34] Nanny

[00:37:35] is

[00:37:35] 176

[00:37:37] and

[00:37:37] her

[00:37:38] new

[00:37:38] partner

[00:37:38] Susie

[00:37:40] she's

[00:37:41] in her

[00:37:41] twenties

[00:37:41] and

[00:37:42] of course

[00:37:42] this

[00:37:43] could be

[00:37:43] looked upon

[00:37:44] with

[00:37:45] different

[00:37:45] problematic

[00:37:46] eyes

[00:37:46] you know

[00:37:47] it's

[00:37:48] but

[00:37:49] no one

[00:37:50] knows

[00:37:51] anymore

[00:37:51] exactly

[00:37:53] how

[00:37:53] old

[00:37:53] Nanny

[00:37:54] is

[00:37:54] because

[00:37:55] she

[00:37:56] looks

[00:37:56] like

[00:37:56] she's

[00:37:57] 20

[00:37:57] and

[00:37:57] not

[00:37:58] only

[00:37:58] looks

[00:37:59] she

[00:37:59] carries

[00:37:59] herself

[00:38:00] like

[00:38:00] she's

[00:38:00] 20

[00:38:00] she's

[00:38:01] this

[00:38:02] eternally

[00:38:04] young

[00:38:05] woman

[00:38:06] but

[00:38:09] once

[00:38:10] you get

[00:38:10] close to

[00:38:11] her

[00:38:11] once

[00:38:12] you get

[00:38:12] to

[00:38:12] know

[00:38:12] her

[00:38:13] you

[00:38:13] see

[00:38:14] that

[00:38:14] there's

[00:38:16] something

[00:38:18] you can't

[00:38:19] really

[00:38:20] touch

[00:38:20] beneath

[00:38:21] the

[00:38:21] eyes

[00:38:22] behind

[00:38:23] her

[00:38:23] manners

[00:38:26] a

[00:38:27] slowness

[00:38:28] a

[00:38:28] heaviness

[00:38:29] not

[00:38:30] in the

[00:38:31] way

[00:38:31] she

[00:38:31] moves

[00:38:32] it's

[00:38:33] more

[00:38:33] of

[00:38:33] the

[00:38:33] way

[00:38:34] that

[00:38:34] she

[00:38:34] views

[00:38:35] the

[00:38:36] world

[00:38:37] she

[00:38:38] looks

[00:38:38] at

[00:38:38] people

[00:38:39] and

[00:38:39] that's

[00:38:39] of

[00:38:40] course

[00:38:40] a

[00:38:41] very

[00:38:41] appealing

[00:38:42] trait

[00:38:46] that

[00:38:46] she

[00:38:47] carries

[00:38:49] people

[00:38:50] love

[00:38:50] her

[00:38:50] people

[00:38:51] really

[00:38:53] turn

[00:38:53] to

[00:38:53] her

[00:38:54] because

[00:38:55] she's

[00:38:55] seen

[00:38:56] so

[00:38:56] much

[00:38:56] she

[00:38:57] knows

[00:38:58] so

[00:38:58] much

[00:38:59] and

[00:39:00] since

[00:39:01] being a

[00:39:01] wealthy

[00:39:02] woman

[00:39:02] she can

[00:39:03] also

[00:39:03] take

[00:39:04] care

[00:39:04] of

[00:39:04] other

[00:39:04] people

[00:39:06] Susie

[00:39:06] for

[00:39:07] instance

[00:39:08] are

[00:39:09] being

[00:39:09] taken

[00:39:09] care

[00:39:09] of

[00:39:11] and

[00:39:11] they

[00:39:12] live

[00:39:12] there

[00:39:12] together

[00:39:12] by

[00:39:15] the

[00:39:15] river

[00:39:16] the

[00:39:17] same

[00:39:17] river

[00:39:17] the

[00:39:18] same

[00:39:18] hut

[00:39:18] although

[00:39:19] the

[00:39:20] hut

[00:39:20] has

[00:39:20] grown

[00:39:21] significantly

[00:39:21] over

[00:39:23] the

[00:39:23] years

[00:39:24] it's

[00:39:25] more

[00:39:25] of a

[00:39:25] house

[00:39:25] now

[00:39:26] but

[00:39:27] it

[00:39:27] still

[00:39:27] keeps

[00:39:28] the

[00:39:28] qualities

[00:39:29] of

[00:39:29] a

[00:39:29] hut

[00:39:29] like

[00:39:31] thin

[00:39:32] walls

[00:39:33] the

[00:39:34] climate

[00:39:35] at

[00:39:36] this

[00:39:36] river

[00:39:37] is

[00:39:38] thankfully

[00:39:39] a very

[00:39:39] mild

[00:39:41] one

[00:39:44] and

[00:39:46] she's

[00:39:47] also

[00:39:47] started

[00:39:49] a few

[00:39:50] help

[00:39:51] groups

[00:39:52] with

[00:39:53] people

[00:39:54] that

[00:39:54] she

[00:39:55] can

[00:39:55] afford

[00:39:55] to

[00:39:56] pay

[00:39:56] as

[00:39:56] well

[00:39:58] without

[00:39:59] ruining

[00:40:00] herself

[00:40:01] she

[00:40:02] can

[00:40:03] just

[00:40:04] pay

[00:40:05] for

[00:40:05] people

[00:40:06] to

[00:40:07] help

[00:40:08] the

[00:40:09] neighborhood

[00:40:10] so

[00:40:11] not

[00:40:12] only

[00:40:12] like

[00:40:14] in the

[00:40:14] immediate

[00:40:15] surroundings

[00:40:16] around

[00:40:16] Nanny

[00:40:17] and Susie

[00:40:17] you can

[00:40:18] be

[00:40:18] helped

[00:40:19] and

[00:40:20] supported

[00:40:20] this

[00:40:21] is

[00:40:22] like

[00:40:23] this

[00:40:23] major

[00:40:24] support

[00:40:24] network

[00:40:25] that

[00:40:26] stretches

[00:40:27] for

[00:40:29] almost

[00:40:29] the

[00:40:30] entire

[00:40:30] county

[00:40:31] and

[00:40:33] all

[00:40:35] over

[00:40:35] this

[00:40:37] vast

[00:40:38] neighborhood

[00:40:38] people

[00:40:40] truly

[00:40:40] love

[00:40:41] Nanny

[00:40:42] and

[00:40:43] she

[00:40:43] feels

[00:40:43] happy

[00:40:45] and

[00:40:48] sufficient

[00:40:49] and

[00:40:50] she

[00:40:51] thinks

[00:40:51] and

[00:40:52] feels

[00:40:53] that

[00:40:53] she's

[00:40:53] discovered

[00:40:54] the

[00:40:54] meaning

[00:40:55] of

[00:40:55] existence

[00:40:55] and

[00:40:56] she

[00:40:56] doesn't

[00:40:56] really

[00:40:56] think

[00:40:57] too

[00:40:57] much

[00:40:57] about

[00:40:58] the

[00:40:59] fact

[00:40:59] that

[00:40:59] she

[00:41:00] doesn't

[00:41:00] tend

[00:41:00] to

[00:41:01] ever

[00:41:02] get

[00:41:02] sick

[00:41:03] or

[00:41:03] frail

[00:41:05] weak

[00:41:07] and

[00:41:08] die

[00:41:08] and

[00:41:10] over

[00:41:11] the

[00:41:11] years

[00:41:11] Susie

[00:41:12] gets

[00:41:13] older

[00:41:14] everyone

[00:41:15] around

[00:41:15] her

[00:41:15] gets

[00:41:16] older

[00:41:18] and

[00:41:19] she's

[00:41:20] been in

[00:41:20] love

[00:41:21] before

[00:41:21] of course

[00:41:22] but

[00:41:23] with

[00:41:24] Susie

[00:41:24] it's

[00:41:25] different

[00:41:25] because

[00:41:25] she's

[00:41:26] at a

[00:41:26] place

[00:41:28] well

[00:41:29] Nanny

[00:41:29] is at

[00:41:30] a

[00:41:30] place

[00:41:30] in

[00:41:31] her

[00:41:32] own

[00:41:32] mind

[00:41:32] where

[00:41:32] she

[00:41:34] truly

[00:41:34] feels

[00:41:35] that

[00:41:35] she

[00:41:35] can

[00:41:35] see

[00:41:36] the

[00:41:36] beauty

[00:41:36] in

[00:41:36] other

[00:41:37] people

[00:41:37] without

[00:41:38] losing

[00:41:39] the

[00:41:41] sense

[00:41:42] of

[00:41:44] importance

[00:41:44] of

[00:41:45] other

[00:41:45] stuff

[00:41:45] you know

[00:41:47] it's

[00:41:47] not

[00:41:47] that

[00:41:48] wild

[00:41:49] crazy

[00:41:51] hormonial

[00:41:51] love

[00:41:52] state

[00:41:52] that

[00:41:54] she

[00:41:54] had

[00:41:54] when

[00:41:55] she

[00:41:55] was

[00:41:55] young

[00:41:55] it's

[00:41:58] deeper

[00:41:58] and

[00:42:00] to be

[00:42:00] honest

[00:42:02] like

[00:42:02] so much

[00:42:04] more

[00:42:04] valuable

[00:42:05] state

[00:42:05] of

[00:42:06] mind

[00:42:06] when

[00:42:07] you

[00:42:07] truly

[00:42:08] love

[00:42:08] you

[00:42:08] know

[00:42:11] and

[00:42:12] she

[00:42:13] feels

[00:42:13] young

[00:42:13] together

[00:42:14] with

[00:42:14] Susie

[00:42:15] not

[00:42:15] because

[00:42:16] Susie

[00:42:16] is

[00:42:16] young

[00:42:17] because

[00:42:18] in a

[00:42:18] way

[00:42:18] they are

[00:42:19] the

[00:42:19] same

[00:42:19] age

[00:42:19] it's

[00:42:20] just

[00:42:20] that

[00:42:22] Nanny

[00:42:22] has

[00:42:22] been

[00:42:23] this

[00:42:23] old

[00:42:24] for

[00:42:26] well

[00:42:26] more

[00:42:27] than

[00:42:27] a

[00:42:27] century

[00:42:28] now

[00:42:29] and

[00:42:30] but

[00:42:35] she

[00:42:35] feels

[00:42:35] young

[00:42:36] because

[00:42:37] Susie

[00:42:38] makes her

[00:42:39] see

[00:42:39] herself

[00:42:40] in a

[00:42:41] way

[00:42:41] like

[00:42:41] the

[00:42:42] river

[00:42:42] outside

[00:42:42] the

[00:42:43] house

[00:42:44] different

[00:42:45] every

[00:42:46] day

[00:42:47] and

[00:42:49] as

[00:42:51] Susie

[00:42:51] grows

[00:42:51] older

[00:42:53] getting

[00:42:54] frailer

[00:42:56] getting

[00:42:57] more

[00:42:57] frail

[00:43:02] dark

[00:43:03] spot

[00:43:05] within

[00:43:08] Nanny

[00:43:08] grows

[00:43:09] because

[00:43:12] she knows

[00:43:13] what's

[00:43:13] next

[00:43:13] she

[00:43:14] knows

[00:43:16] what's

[00:43:17] going to

[00:43:18] happen

[00:43:18] to

[00:43:18] Susie

[00:43:20] and

[00:43:22] although

[00:43:23] they

[00:43:24] live

[00:43:25] together

[00:43:25] for

[00:43:25] decades

[00:43:26] and

[00:43:27] decades

[00:43:27] at

[00:43:27] end

[00:43:28] one

[00:43:29] day

[00:43:29] Susie

[00:43:30] dies

[00:43:31] and

[00:43:32] then

[00:43:35] Nanny

[00:43:37] enters

[00:43:37] this

[00:43:38] period

[00:43:39] because

[00:43:40] she

[00:43:40] still

[00:43:41] is a

[00:43:42] 20

[00:43:43] year old

[00:43:43] woman

[00:43:45] it's

[00:43:46] almost

[00:43:46] like

[00:43:47] she's

[00:43:47] in a

[00:43:47] prison

[00:43:48] if you

[00:43:49] can

[00:43:49] imagine

[00:43:49] I

[00:43:50] mean

[00:43:51] it's

[00:43:52] easy

[00:43:52] at

[00:43:53] first

[00:43:54] glance

[00:43:54] to

[00:43:54] just

[00:43:55] say

[00:43:55] that

[00:43:55] not

[00:43:56] aging

[00:43:57] would

[00:43:57] be

[00:43:57] like

[00:43:58] this

[00:43:58] dream

[00:43:58] state

[00:43:59] that

[00:44:00] I

[00:44:01] mean

[00:44:01] what

[00:44:01] could

[00:44:01] possibly

[00:44:02] be

[00:44:02] bad

[00:44:03] but

[00:44:04] imagine

[00:44:04] that

[00:44:05] any

[00:44:05] other

[00:44:06] person

[00:44:07] around

[00:44:07] you

[00:44:08] that

[00:44:08] you

[00:44:08] get

[00:44:08] attached

[00:44:09] to

[00:44:09] and

[00:44:09] even

[00:44:09] people

[00:44:10] that

[00:44:10] you

[00:44:10] don't

[00:44:10] care

[00:44:11] about

[00:44:11] grows

[00:44:12] older

[00:44:12] and

[00:44:13] the

[00:44:13] older

[00:44:14] you

[00:44:14] get

[00:44:14] the

[00:44:15] faster

[00:44:15] the

[00:44:16] other

[00:44:16] people's

[00:44:16] aging

[00:44:17] processes

[00:44:18] seem

[00:44:19] to

[00:44:19] you

[00:44:20] it's

[00:44:21] almost

[00:44:21] like

[00:44:22] she's

[00:44:22] standing

[00:44:22] at a

[00:44:24] crossroad

[00:44:24] watching

[00:44:25] the

[00:44:25] traffic

[00:44:27] speed

[00:44:28] by

[00:44:28] in

[00:44:28] like

[00:44:30] this

[00:44:31] accelerated

[00:44:32] speed

[00:44:32] like in

[00:44:33] a music

[00:44:34] video

[00:44:36] a

[00:44:37] time

[00:44:38] lapse

[00:44:38] of

[00:44:39] life

[00:44:40] happening

[00:44:40] around

[00:44:41] you

[00:44:41] while

[00:44:41] you

[00:44:42] still

[00:44:42] you're

[00:44:43] not

[00:44:44] influenced

[00:44:45] by any

[00:44:46] of it

[00:44:46] you're

[00:44:46] not

[00:44:46] affected

[00:44:47] by the

[00:44:47] traits

[00:44:48] of

[00:44:48] time

[00:44:48] and

[00:44:54] so

[00:44:55] goes

[00:44:55] 245

[00:44:56] years

[00:44:59] and

[00:45:00] nanny

[00:45:01] is

[00:45:02] now

[00:45:05] 300

[00:45:06] and

[00:45:07] no

[00:45:10] she's

[00:45:10] 400

[00:45:12] no

[00:45:13] wait

[00:45:13] I need

[00:45:14] to count

[00:45:15] on my

[00:45:15] fingers

[00:45:16] I'm not

[00:45:16] good

[00:45:17] with

[00:45:17] math

[00:45:17] so

[00:45:18] he

[00:45:18] was

[00:45:18] she

[00:45:19] was

[00:45:19] 176

[00:45:20] before

[00:45:21] and

[00:45:22] then

[00:45:22] there's

[00:45:22] this

[00:45:23] 245

[00:45:24] so

[00:45:28] okay

[00:45:31] so

[00:45:31] 176

[00:45:33] plus

[00:45:34] 45

[00:45:34] first

[00:45:35] of all

[00:45:36] 76

[00:45:38] 86

[00:45:39] 96

[00:45:40] 106

[00:45:47] 164

[00:45:49] so

[00:45:51] she's

[00:45:53] 464

[00:45:54] years

[00:45:54] old

[00:45:55] I could

[00:46:00] be

[00:46:00] totally

[00:46:01] wrong

[00:46:01] here

[00:46:01] okay

[00:46:02] she's

[00:46:03] almost

[00:46:03] half

[00:46:05] a

[00:46:05] millennia

[00:46:07] and

[00:46:10] she's

[00:46:10] been

[00:46:11] well I

[00:46:12] guess

[00:46:12] you could

[00:46:13] call her

[00:46:13] depressed

[00:46:14] for this

[00:46:15] time

[00:46:15] she

[00:46:17] hasn't

[00:46:17] really

[00:46:18] attached

[00:46:19] herself

[00:46:20] to anyone

[00:46:20] new

[00:46:22] since

[00:46:23] Susie

[00:46:23] died

[00:46:24] and

[00:46:25] she

[00:46:25] hasn't

[00:46:26] she

[00:46:27] has

[00:46:28] lived

[00:46:28] a

[00:46:29] very

[00:46:30] withdrawn

[00:46:31] life

[00:46:31] her

[00:46:33] help

[00:46:33] organizations

[00:46:34] around

[00:46:36] the

[00:46:36] county

[00:46:37] has

[00:46:37] widened

[00:46:38] even

[00:46:39] more

[00:46:39] and

[00:46:41] are

[00:46:43] now

[00:46:43] the

[00:46:44] most

[00:46:45] prominent

[00:46:45] organization

[00:46:46] in the

[00:46:47] world

[00:46:48] since

[00:46:50] it's

[00:46:50] so

[00:46:50] old

[00:46:51] and

[00:46:51] her

[00:46:52] wealth

[00:46:52] has

[00:46:53] accumulated

[00:46:54] even

[00:46:54] more

[00:46:54] so

[00:46:55] the

[00:46:56] money

[00:46:56] is not

[00:46:57] an

[00:46:57] issue

[00:46:57] and

[00:46:58] she

[00:46:59] does

[00:46:59] a lot

[00:46:59] of

[00:46:59] good

[00:47:00] but

[00:47:01] she

[00:47:02] herself

[00:47:02] are

[00:47:03] not

[00:47:04] happy

[00:47:04] she

[00:47:05] lives

[00:47:06] in

[00:47:07] the

[00:47:07] same

[00:47:07] house

[00:47:08] and

[00:47:10] she's

[00:47:11] looking

[00:47:11] at the

[00:47:12] world

[00:47:12] like

[00:47:13] this

[00:47:13] time

[00:47:13] lapse

[00:47:14] and

[00:47:14] she

[00:47:15] doesn't

[00:47:15] really

[00:47:15] understand

[00:47:16] why

[00:47:17] why

[00:47:18] is she

[00:47:19] this

[00:47:19] way

[00:47:19] why

[00:47:20] can't

[00:47:20] she

[00:47:21] just

[00:47:21] be

[00:47:21] like

[00:47:21] any

[00:47:22] other

[00:47:22] person

[00:47:23] that

[00:47:24] gets

[00:47:25] put

[00:47:26] into

[00:47:26] this

[00:47:26] world

[00:47:27] without

[00:47:27] knowing

[00:47:28] why

[00:47:28] lives

[00:47:29] a

[00:47:29] life

[00:47:29] falls

[00:47:30] in

[00:47:30] love

[00:47:30] does

[00:47:32] stuff

[00:47:32] and

[00:47:33] avoids

[00:47:34] stuff

[00:47:34] and

[00:47:35] then

[00:47:35] dies

[00:47:35] why

[00:47:36] is

[00:47:36] she

[00:47:37] this

[00:47:39] perpetual

[00:47:39] being

[00:47:40] but

[00:47:45] then

[00:47:45] one

[00:47:45] day

[00:47:46] she's

[00:47:47] out

[00:47:47] on

[00:47:49] one

[00:47:50] of

[00:47:50] her

[00:47:50] daily

[00:47:50] walks

[00:47:51] she

[00:47:57] other

[00:47:57] other

[00:47:58] administrators

[00:47:59] of her

[00:48:00] own

[00:48:00] organization

[00:48:01] it

[00:48:02] tends

[00:48:03] to

[00:48:03] take

[00:48:03] care

[00:48:03] of

[00:48:03] itself

[00:48:04] not

[00:48:05] many

[00:48:05] people

[00:48:06] have

[00:48:06] visited

[00:48:07] her

[00:48:07] or

[00:48:08] met

[00:48:09] her

[00:48:09] in

[00:48:09] many

[00:48:10] years

[00:48:11] she

[00:48:11] has

[00:48:11] this

[00:48:12] sort

[00:48:12] of

[00:48:12] enigmatic

[00:48:13] quality

[00:48:14] about

[00:48:15] her

[00:48:15] people

[00:48:16] talk

[00:48:16] about

[00:48:16] her

[00:48:16] like

[00:48:17] this

[00:48:17] very

[00:48:18] rare

[00:48:18] sighting

[00:48:20] but

[00:48:21] she's

[00:48:21] out

[00:48:21] in

[00:48:22] the

[00:48:22] woods

[00:48:23] on

[00:48:23] her

[00:48:25] daily

[00:48:26] walk

[00:48:27] and

[00:48:27] then

[00:48:29] she

[00:48:29] just

[00:48:30] decides

[00:48:31] to take

[00:48:31] another

[00:48:32] road

[00:48:32] one

[00:48:33] that

[00:48:33] she

[00:48:34] has

[00:48:35] well

[00:48:36] she

[00:48:36] used

[00:48:37] to

[00:48:37] walk

[00:48:37] it

[00:48:37] when

[00:48:37] she

[00:48:38] was

[00:48:38] younger

[00:48:38] but

[00:48:39] she

[00:48:40] hasn't

[00:48:40] realized

[00:48:41] since

[00:48:41] she's

[00:48:42] not

[00:48:42] walked

[00:48:43] there

[00:48:43] for

[00:48:44] maybe

[00:48:44] a

[00:48:44] century

[00:48:45] there's

[00:48:46] this

[00:48:46] whole

[00:48:47] new

[00:48:47] mine

[00:48:48] shaft

[00:48:48] there

[00:48:48] and

[00:48:50] without

[00:48:50] knowing

[00:48:50] it

[00:48:51] she

[00:48:51] just

[00:48:51] falls

[00:48:52] down

[00:48:52] in

[00:48:52] it

[00:48:53] and

[00:48:53] she

[00:48:53] can't

[00:48:54] die

[00:48:54] she's

[00:48:55] just

[00:48:56] there

[00:48:57] and

[00:48:58] she

[00:48:58] can't

[00:48:59] climb

[00:48:59] up

[00:48:59] and

[00:49:01] she

[00:49:02] can't

[00:49:03] call

[00:49:04] for

[00:49:04] help

[00:49:05] because

[00:49:05] it's

[00:49:05] too

[00:49:06] deep

[00:49:07] and

[00:49:08] she's

[00:49:09] just

[00:49:09] there

[00:49:10] she

[00:49:12] just

[00:49:12] sits

[00:49:13] in

[00:49:13] this

[00:49:13] dark

[00:49:15] pit

[00:49:16] for

[00:49:18] almost

[00:49:19] a hundred

[00:49:20] years

[00:49:20] so

[00:49:23] now

[00:49:23] she's

[00:49:24] over

[00:49:25] 500

[00:49:25] years

[00:49:25] old

[00:49:26] and

[00:49:26] still

[00:49:27] looks

[00:49:27] like

[00:49:27] this

[00:49:28] 20

[00:49:28] year

[00:49:28] old

[00:49:28] woman

[00:49:29] in

[00:49:30] teared

[00:49:31] up

[00:49:31] clothes

[00:49:32] and

[00:49:32] dirty

[00:49:32] and

[00:49:33] in

[00:49:34] the

[00:49:35] darkness

[00:49:35] there

[00:49:35] in

[00:49:37] the

[00:49:37] mind

[00:49:37] in

[00:49:39] the

[00:49:39] mind

[00:49:39] and

[00:49:40] in

[00:49:40] the

[00:49:40] mind

[00:49:40] she

[00:49:42] sort

[00:49:42] of

[00:49:42] turns

[00:49:44] it

[00:49:44] around

[00:49:44] because

[00:49:46] she's

[00:49:46] as

[00:49:46] deep

[00:49:46] as

[00:49:47] you

[00:49:47] can

[00:49:47] get

[00:49:47] imagine

[00:49:49] being

[00:49:49] stuck

[00:49:50] in

[00:49:50] a

[00:49:50] hole

[00:49:50] and

[00:49:52] you

[00:49:52] can't

[00:49:52] end

[00:49:53] you

[00:49:54] can't

[00:49:55] you

[00:49:56] know

[00:49:56] there's

[00:49:57] no

[00:49:57] end

[00:49:58] so

[00:50:01] then

[00:50:02] she

[00:50:02] just

[00:50:02] says

[00:50:03] yes

[00:50:03] to

[00:50:03] the

[00:50:03] darkness

[00:50:04] within

[00:50:05] her

[00:50:05] and

[00:50:07] discovers

[00:50:08] that

[00:50:08] there's

[00:50:09] light

[00:50:09] in

[00:50:09] there

[00:50:11] and

[00:50:12] suddenly

[00:50:13] over

[00:50:14] the

[00:50:14] years

[00:50:14] this

[00:50:15] great

[00:50:15] sensation

[00:50:16] of joy

[00:50:17] fills

[00:50:17] her

[00:50:17] the

[00:50:18] great

[00:50:18] sensation

[00:50:19] of joy

[00:50:19] to be

[00:50:20] alive

[00:50:20] to be

[00:50:22] a

[00:50:23] living

[00:50:23] being

[00:50:24] in

[00:50:24] the

[00:50:24] world

[00:50:24] and

[00:50:26] she

[00:50:26] starts

[00:50:26] having

[00:50:27] these

[00:50:27] amazing

[00:50:28] experiences

[00:50:28] with

[00:50:29] the

[00:50:29] moving

[00:50:30] earth

[00:50:30] around

[00:50:31] her

[00:50:31] and

[00:50:32] she

[00:50:32] discovers

[00:50:33] that

[00:50:35] slowly

[00:50:36] slowly

[00:50:36] almost

[00:50:37] totally

[00:50:38] invisible

[00:50:40] caves

[00:50:42] open up

[00:50:43] around

[00:50:43] her

[00:50:43] and

[00:50:45] she

[00:50:45] can

[00:50:45] gradually

[00:50:46] move

[00:50:47] as

[00:50:48] the

[00:50:49] earth

[00:50:49] shifts

[00:50:50] around

[00:50:50] her

[00:50:50] and

[00:50:52] over

[00:50:52] the

[00:50:52] hundreds

[00:50:52] of

[00:50:53] years

[00:50:53] that

[00:50:53] follows

[00:50:54] she

[00:50:55] maneuvers

[00:50:56] around

[00:50:57] the

[00:51:01] shifting

[00:51:02] earth

[00:51:02] going

[00:51:05] down

[00:51:05] and

[00:51:05] up

[00:51:06] and

[00:51:06] then

[00:51:07] one

[00:51:07] day

[00:51:08] the

[00:51:08] ground

[00:51:09] opens

[00:51:09] up

[00:51:09] above

[00:51:10] her

[00:51:10] and

[00:51:10] she

[00:51:10] can

[00:51:10] step

[00:51:11] out

[00:51:11] into

[00:51:11] the

[00:51:11] light

[00:51:13] and

[00:51:14] she

[00:51:14] realizes

[00:51:14] that

[00:51:15] she

[00:51:15] has

[00:51:15] a

[00:51:15] job

[00:51:16] to

[00:51:16] do

[00:51:53] country and just start to produce this welfare machine that takes care of everyone.

[00:52:00] Sort of a universal basic income.

[00:52:03] Of course, there's been legends about her.

[00:52:11] And when discovering that Nanny actually is real, the world just follows her like in an

[00:52:21] instant.

[00:52:21] So it takes place like in a very uncomplicated way.

[00:52:28] And of course, she being loaded is, of course, very helpful in this case.

[00:52:38] So she gets married again with another girl, another woman.

[00:52:46] And she finds companionship to be joyful again.

[00:52:54] And compassion is really one of her most enjoyable states of mind.

[00:53:06] And the fact that she actually has means to help and to change the world for real.

[00:53:17] And before you know it, in her world, I mean, 300 years, maybe.

[00:53:26] She has turned the world into this utopia.

[00:53:32] And when she's, you know, she's been in and out of politics and arts and sports and all the stuff that a person with no age, you know, with no aging processes can really indulge.

[00:53:51] She's read all that.

[00:53:52] She's read all there is to read.

[00:53:54] She's learned everything there is to learn.

[00:53:58] She's created by trial and error, of course, and by the help of geniuses that comes and goes.

[00:54:07] But she's the still, she's the common thread throughout it all.

[00:54:15] She's turned planet Earth and all of us who live her into this paradise.

[00:54:25] And then she decides that her next step is to go to the stars.

[00:54:35] So throughout all these years, she's been developing this high technological space program.

[00:54:43] And she now has the technical ability to travel to the stars.

[00:54:48] But the only thing that stops her from doing it is, well, it takes time.

[00:54:57] It takes thousands of years.

[00:55:01] Even if you go like almost at the speed of light.

[00:55:09] Well, you can't, you can't travel that fast.

[00:55:17] But even a fraction of the speed of light is unimaginable in terms of speed.

[00:55:26] But still, space is big.

[00:55:29] So just in order to reach our closest star will take thousands and thousands of years.

[00:55:37] And she's the only one who can do that.

[00:55:44] And she realizes that this might be a one-way trip.

[00:55:51] So she gazes and scans the night sky.

[00:55:59] And picks out this star that are 500 light years away from Earth.

[00:56:06] Because around that star there are signs of oxygen.

[00:56:17] And, well, it's...

[00:56:20] There are around that star a planet that's in the so-called Goldilocks zone around the star.

[00:56:28] Not too cold, not too warm.

[00:56:32] Just right.

[00:56:33] But Earth is in a Goldilocks zone around the sun, our sun.

[00:56:42] And she stuffs her spaceship with DNA samples from a huge variety of people.

[00:56:54] And since Earth now has a self-sustainable system, they can manage from here.

[00:57:02] They don't need her anymore.

[00:57:04] She bids them farewell and she steps into the spaceship.

[00:57:07] And the spaceship is built as a replica of her own hut by the river.

[00:57:16] And she changes the pitch black river, sometimes pitch black river, to the darkness of space instead.

[00:57:24] And then she leaves.

[00:57:28] And then we take a huge break from her.

[00:57:32] For 20,000 years she just travels.

[00:57:37] And then one day she enters the orbit of this foreign star.

[00:57:49] And she zooms in on this particular planet in the Goldilocks zone.

[00:57:54] And she realizes that she can create this new society there.

[00:58:02] With the help of the DNA samples from the people around her.

[00:58:09] That she brought with her being freezed down.

[00:58:14] And she lands on this planet.

[00:58:18] And it contains wildlife.

[00:58:22] And the wildlife is not the same as on Earth, of course.

[00:58:27] The life are different.

[00:58:31] But still, it's life.

[00:58:33] And the atmosphere is breathable.

[00:58:36] She needs to add a few extra genes to the genomes that she brought with her.

[00:58:48] And she almost immediately starts to grow children in her lab.

[00:58:56] In artificial wombs.

[00:58:59] Playing classical music for them every day.

[00:59:02] Talking to them.

[00:59:04] Stroking them while passing.

[00:59:09] And after about six years, the first child is born.

[00:59:15] The first human being being born outside of Earth.

[00:59:19] Earth.

[00:59:20] And she gives her the name Susie.

[00:59:28] And then, at the same time as Susie is being born and all the other children with a great genetic variety, may I add.

[00:59:37] Because this is supposed to be, you know, the beginning of a new species.

[00:59:45] You know, human species on a different planet.

[00:59:47] They can't all be siblings and such.

[00:59:50] So, at the same time as the children are being born one after the other, Nanny starts to feel her own age starting to tick off.

[01:00:09] She realizes that her job is done.

[01:00:13] And she's, by now, she's like way over 20,000 years of age.

[01:00:22] And she's seen almost everything, yet she hasn't seen anything.

[01:00:29] She hasn't seen all there is to see.

[01:00:32] Although she's as old as, you know, time.

[01:00:38] But no, she's not.

[01:00:40] You know, she's just a fragment.

[01:00:47] And she feels a sense of sadness.

[01:00:51] Since she won't be around, she realizes to see the children that she gave birth to, in a way.

[01:01:01] But she's also relieved.

[01:01:05] And so, one day, she ends it.

[01:01:07] She ends her life.

[01:01:09] No, she's not ending it.

[01:01:11] It comes to an end.

[01:01:13] Had a beautiful day by another river on this new planet.

[01:01:18] And Susie is with her.

[01:01:23] The first new person being born on another planet outside of Earth.

[01:01:31] Susie is holding her hand.

[01:01:33] And it's almost like time itself whispers to Nanny,

[01:01:39] Now you can rest.

[01:01:44] It's done.

[01:01:46] Sleep tight.

[01:01:47] Hi, and welcome to Fall Asleep with Hendrik.

[01:01:54] I'm Hendrik.

[01:01:56] And you are sleepy.

[01:02:00] And it is what it is.

[01:02:04] What happens, happens.

[01:02:08] And right now, there's nothing we can do.

[01:02:16] So, let's go.

[01:02:21] Hi, sleepy.

[01:02:24] Hi.

[01:02:24] So, first of all, welcome to another episode of Fall Asleep with Hendrik.

[01:02:32] The podcast that you don't really have to listen to if you don't want, necessarily.

[01:02:39] I'm just going to talk and I don't prepare anything in advance.

[01:02:45] And I'm not supposed to, either.

[01:02:52] Because it is what it is.

[01:02:56] So, you will hear whatever, you know.

[01:03:01] I will just talk.

[01:03:03] And you can use me either way you see fit.

[01:03:07] You can just put me on in the background.

[01:03:10] Or you can listen actively.

[01:03:14] The main purpose is for me to help you relax.

[01:03:20] To be your mind.

[01:03:22] Your messy, breakdancing mind for a while.

[01:03:30] But, it can go either way.

[01:03:32] Some people listen to me and find me entertaining.

[01:03:37] And consume me while awake.

[01:03:40] And that's okay too, I guess.

[01:03:44] My name is Hendrik.

[01:03:45] And I am a Swedish actor and podcaster.

[01:03:49] Who is now making my shaky little entrance on the international stage.

[01:03:57] So, with that said, I am not fluently English speaking.

[01:04:02] And as you may tell from my dialect, from my accent, I'm...

[01:04:10] Well, I couldn't pass for an Englishman even if they paid me to do it, I guess.

[01:04:16] But it's okay.

[01:04:18] Because the world is a big place.

[01:04:20] And I have this belief that there is something in this very modest communication that I'm trying to pull off here.

[01:04:34] That applies to everyone regardless of origin.

[01:04:40] So, the only thing that's really important here is that you at least understand some of what I say.

[01:04:50] Maybe not everything.

[01:04:51] You can follow me on all social media.

[01:05:00] And please do if you want to know more about me.

[01:05:04] I have English speaking accounts and Swedish speaking accounts on YouTube.

[01:05:13] Which is the modern word for YouTube.

[01:05:18] And TikTok and Instagram and all that.

[01:05:21] I don't really...

[01:05:23] I don't really...

[01:05:24] I am really tired of Instagram.

[01:05:27] I feel like all we do as content creators on social media is we listen to the big companies that tells us what to do.

[01:05:38] And we forget the fact that what they are really doing is that they are training us to be their perfect salesmen.

[01:05:47] It really annoys me because as a somewhat major creator here in Sweden at least, I get contacted and praised from the big companies themselves.

[01:06:03] They say, oh, you're so important.

[01:06:05] You're really important to us.

[01:06:07] We want you to be a part of this network and that network.

[01:06:10] And of course, you get flattered and you sit on these meetings and you feel like you're part of something great.

[01:06:17] Because that's really the thing that they're really selling to us creators.

[01:06:22] Like we're a part of something great.

[01:06:26] But then there's this sub stream in the communication.

[01:06:32] And that's what this thing is all about, really.

[01:06:38] I am being trained to be the perfect ad salesman for a huge international company.

[01:06:48] And this is why I'm doing this podcast.

[01:06:50] I know that I am also with this material ad.

[01:06:58] I'm in need of ads to provide me with an income.

[01:07:03] But I would, to be honest with you, prefer if that wasn't necessary.

[01:07:08] I would love to be on my own legs, on my own economic bones, my own economic bone structure.

[01:07:21] But sadly, that's not the reality.

[01:07:25] Maybe one day in the future, I will be totally independent and not reliable.

[01:07:32] Not be in so keen on relying on ads and sponsorships.

[01:07:45] But until that day comes, you'll have to take the bad with the good, I guess.

[01:07:51] And the ads in this podcast is only in the beginning.

[01:07:55] I won't have any ads or sponsorships in the middle or the end of the episode.

[01:08:01] If that happens to you, then tell me.

[01:08:04] Because then there's been a mistake in ACOS's technical infrastructure.

[01:08:09] Or it might have been just that the next episode just triggered as your previous episode ended.

[01:08:23] That can happen.

[01:08:27] Sometimes I get emails, angry emails from people who says that you keep telling us that you will have no ads in the end of the episode.

[01:08:40] But yet you do.

[01:08:42] And I can assure you that I don't.

[01:08:45] It's when that happens, it's, well, a freak of technical nature.

[01:08:52] Or it's the next episode that you've accidentally queued the episode in a way that whenever one episode ends,

[01:09:03] the next one unplayed episode is being triggered.

[01:09:08] So please check that your listening queue.

[01:09:14] Some of my listeners put a timer, a sleeping timer on, so that they won't wake up whenever something else happens.

[01:09:30] And of course, if you want to get rid of the ads altogether, you can subscribe to Fall Asleep With Henrik+,

[01:09:39] which is like, it's kind of cheap, I guess.

[01:09:43] It depends on what you compare it with.

[01:09:45] And I don't even remember right now the actual cost, but I think it's like $2 a month or something.

[01:09:57] And yeah, so check that out.

[01:10:01] You have a link in the podcast description if you want to check that out.

[01:10:05] Okay, so I'm not supposed really to talk about,

[01:10:11] I'm not really supposed to talk about all that technical stuff.

[01:10:23] Or maybe I am.

[01:10:24] I mean, I don't have any rules.

[01:10:27] The only rule I have when providing you with my questionable content is to try and keep my voice consistent.

[01:10:38] So sometimes I burst into laughter because I really enjoy doing this.

[01:10:47] It's fun.

[01:10:50] And that may be a breach of contract in a way.

[01:10:55] But other than that, I don't really do any big voice changing things.

[01:11:03] So I want you to rely.

[01:11:06] I want you to be able to rely on my voice being consistent with a few interruptions maybe.

[01:11:14] But I won't do any dialects or singing or screaming or no jingles or stingers in the middle of the episode.

[01:11:26] And sometimes I will be just completely silent for seconds in a row.

[01:11:40] And it's okay.

[01:11:45] There is this overwhelming feeling of freedom to sit here and speak to an international audience

[01:11:54] and just say whatever I want, whatever I come up with and not prepare.

[01:12:02] I mean, this morning I just went out and I just sat down and I pressed record on my device.

[01:12:11] And now I'm here with you.

[01:12:17] I get so many emails and DMs telling me how you use my podcast.

[01:12:25] And again, I'm not really able to answer all the emails and DMs.

[01:12:33] But I try to and I read all of it, absolutely all of it.

[01:12:39] Some of you write consistently like every few days.

[01:12:46] And I'm so glad it's proof of concept to me.

[01:12:53] And I'm really glad to get to know you.

[01:12:57] And some of you may be just writing once, telling me how you use your podcast.

[01:13:03] I've heard stories about people who listen to this podcast while going through a separation

[01:13:11] or being in the hospital for something or just commuting.

[01:13:25] And then, of course, the major part of the listeners are listening to Fall Asleep with Hendrick Wilde,

[01:13:32] trying to fall asleep.

[01:13:34] And it's such an honor to be a part of your very personal routine.

[01:13:41] I can't emphasize enough the thrill and the joy that I feel when you tell me

[01:13:55] that I am actually a part of your bedtime routine.

[01:14:00] It's such an honor.

[01:14:04] And I have to pinch myself sometimes just to make sure I'm not dreaming because I've had so many jobs.

[01:14:16] Well, not so many different types of jobs.

[01:14:20] Mainly, I've been working with acting and writing for the past 30 years or so.

[01:14:26] But, I mean, I've done so much.

[01:14:31] And this is by far the most enjoyable job I've ever had.

[01:14:41] So thank you, Sleepy, for being here with me and to give in my life and for giving my life purpose.

[01:14:53] I really want to thank you for that in particular.

[01:14:58] That you're giving my life some meaning, you know.

[01:15:02] Right now, I'm going through a very intense, troublesome and exciting and scary and sad passage of my own life.

[01:15:19] And to know that you're here, even my life purpose is, I mean, it's such a great thing.

[01:15:31] It's like the sun exploding in my chest when I think about what I get to do every day.

[01:15:41] So, again, I'm starting to sound like a broken record.

[01:15:46] But, again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

[01:15:56] Okay, so I don't have any particular plan on what this episode's topic should be.

[01:16:04] I mean, I could talk about anything from green barbershop hats

[01:16:15] to Transylvanian maids singing and dancing in the grand entrance of the castle,

[01:16:22] which I think is a very good thing.

[01:16:25] I mean, Transylvanian maids, as you know, are a very strong union-connected group.

[01:16:34] The Transylvanian maid union is like, it's so much stronger than any screenwriters guild or whatever.

[01:16:53] So, I'm going to tell you a story about Transylvanian maids

[01:16:59] and their very strong sense of connectedness and pride.

[01:17:09] So, first of all, Transylvanian maids are not just women.

[01:17:13] It's a gender-neutral job.

[01:17:19] And as the name suggests, it's about housekeeping mostly and gardening, but mostly housekeeping.

[01:17:32] And the Transylvanian maids, from now on, I will just refer to them as the maids

[01:17:39] because that's what they are.

[01:17:42] I mean, I don't go around telling you that I'm Swedish like in the start of every sentence,

[01:17:50] although I am.

[01:17:52] I mean, that fact doesn't change just because I don't mention it once in a while.

[01:17:57] But in case you missed it, I am from Sweden.

[01:18:00] I live in Stockholm, Sweden.

[01:18:05] And I am not from here.

[01:18:08] I am from a little place in Sweden called FĂĄlon, which is a small city with an old mine,

[01:18:19] with an old copper mine.

[01:18:22] That's...

[01:18:23] Well, I don't think they still get copper from there,

[01:18:28] but I have heard rumors that there's silver there now.

[01:18:33] Anyway, it's like from the 15th century or something.

[01:18:38] The mine.

[01:18:40] The legend has it that there was this buck who was out on the mountain,

[01:18:44] and the buck was named KÄre.

[01:18:48] And the buck scraped his horns against the rock and came home to his owner

[01:18:53] with the horns bearing this reddish tint.

[01:19:00] And the owner was like,

[01:19:03] Oh my God, there's copper in the ground.

[01:19:05] We need to harvest this before anyone else tells us.

[01:19:08] And this copper mine in FĂĄlon, Dalarna, Sweden,

[01:19:16] was actually a part of this vast network in Dalarna,

[01:19:22] where it became some sort of an economic center

[01:19:26] and this huge economic power during a few hundred years.

[01:19:33] But growing up there, I never saw any traces of this.

[01:19:37] I never saw the wealth.

[01:19:42] It wasn't really distributed.

[01:19:45] And when I was a kid, the mine was about to close

[01:19:49] after hundreds of years of mining.

[01:19:57] So, okay, but that's me.

[01:20:02] And I'm from Sweden.

[01:20:04] Did I mention that?

[01:20:05] Did I mention that I'm from Sweden?

[01:20:07] I'm this little, blonde, exotic, blue-eyed boy from Sweden.

[01:20:14] And I'm 49 years old.

[01:20:18] Yet I am still somewhat of a boy.

[01:20:23] And that's...

[01:20:24] I've been talking about this extensively in another episode called Boy.

[01:20:30] Boy.

[01:20:32] And it's...

[01:20:37] You can listen to that.

[01:20:40] It's one of my more popular episodes.

[01:20:43] So maybe that was the peak of my career as an international podcaster.

[01:20:49] I don't know.

[01:20:54] Okay, so before I start talking more about the Transylvanian maids

[01:21:00] and their very strong sense of connectedness to each other

[01:21:05] and their lore, you know, and their branch.

[01:21:13] I want to tell you about my goals with this podcast.

[01:21:20] My goals with this podcast is to reach one million listeners within a year.

[01:21:27] And that's a very ambitious goal.

[01:21:31] And if you have it in you, I would really appreciate your help.

[01:21:36] If you like this podcast, tell your friends about it.

[01:21:39] Share it in social media.

[01:21:42] Write reviews on the platform where you listen.

[01:21:46] That helps.

[01:21:48] Every little bit helps.

[01:21:49] And that is if you feel that it's worth your while.

[01:21:53] Well, I've decided to give this project a year.

[01:21:59] I don't really need it economically because I have this very big Swedish podcast

[01:22:05] that keeps me alive, you know, keeps food coming.

[01:22:13] But I am so excited about this and I really would like it to grow.

[01:22:18] I would really like it to be like a part of this.

[01:22:22] I would really like me to be a part of this huge community gathering around this very odd type of content

[01:22:32] where someone just talks without any really not preparing anything.

[01:22:42] I don't have an agenda.

[01:22:45] I mean, even the so-called agenda to put you to sleep is not really an agenda.

[01:22:51] Because I don't really care.

[01:22:54] I just want you to feel good.

[01:22:57] I just want you to feel okay, you know.

[01:23:02] That's my only thing.

[01:23:05] That's my only goal, my only agenda.

[01:23:07] But if I don't succeed, that's okay too.

[01:23:14] Because I can't possibly think that I, little me, could ever be able to do that to everyone.

[01:23:26] So it's a strike of luck if I reach you right now.

[01:23:30] And that's why I want to reach out to more people like you.

[01:23:34] So my goal is to reach one million people listening to this podcast within a year from like two months ago.

[01:23:42] Two months ago.

[01:23:44] So say in May or June next year, I'm going to make this convention thing, intervention thing with myself

[01:23:59] where I ask myself, is this really worth your while?

[01:24:02] Is this really worth your time?

[01:24:03] Have you gotten anything out of it?

[01:24:06] I mean in a personal way.

[01:24:12] So that's why I keep telling you to write to me, tell me about yourself, your day, your use cases of fall asleep with Hendrik.

[01:24:26] Okay.

[01:24:28] So that being said, I'm now going to enter the realm of the Transylvanian maids and their questionable life choices.

[01:24:41] Because they are really a bunch, you know?

[01:24:47] They're not that many people.

[01:24:49] It's around 200 people.

[01:24:52] And the occupation is inherited.

[01:24:55] So you don't get to choose it.

[01:24:58] It's like royalty in a way.

[01:25:02] You inherit this job from your mother or your father, depending on which one of them had the occupation.

[01:25:10] Sometimes both parents have it.

[01:25:13] I mean, that's more of a rule than an exception.

[01:25:15] Because they are...

[01:25:18] It's a very...

[01:25:20] It's a force of habit.

[01:25:23] You know, it's a...

[01:25:25] It's something that you really can't ignore growing up with a maid in your family.

[01:25:32] A Transylvanian maid, that is.

[01:25:33] I would like to emphasize that a Transylvanian maid is not the same thing as, like, what you normally think of when you hear the word maid.

[01:25:45] When you hear the word maid, maybe you think about a servant.

[01:25:49] Someone who's...

[01:25:52] Someone who may or may not be in the care of a family with a room in the family house.

[01:26:01] Being a part of the family, but still not ever really being a part of the family.

[01:26:09] And maybe you think of inequality and oppression.

[01:26:16] And...

[01:26:18] An old way of living that's not really...

[01:26:24] Well, it's not really...

[01:26:26] It doesn't really do anything anymore.

[01:26:31] But a Transylvanian maid in this made-up case.

[01:26:35] Because I want to emphasize again that this...

[01:26:38] The thing that I'm saying that this is a Transylvanian maid thing.

[01:26:42] I don't know anything about Transylvania.

[01:26:45] And this is not a comment on anything I've read or heard or think or believe.

[01:26:52] So...

[01:26:53] It's just random that I took the place of Transylvania and the occupation of maid.

[01:27:00] But now, here I am.

[01:27:03] Started out with talking about Transylvanian maids dancing in the hallway together.

[01:27:10] So, the Transylvanian maids are a very closely bounded together group that lives in a castle in Transylvania.

[01:27:23] All 200 of them.

[01:27:24] And they take turns being the ruler of the castle.

[01:27:31] And it's very democratic.

[01:27:34] It's...

[01:27:34] You vote for someone to be this year's overmaid.

[01:27:42] And you take...

[01:27:45] And then you take turns of being like suppliants.

[01:27:51] What do you call it?

[01:27:52] Someone who is like assistance to the overmaid.

[01:27:58] And so that everyone gets to be close to power.

[01:28:00] But power itself is something that you're being voted into.

[01:28:06] So, every year, the overmaid is trying to get re-elected.

[01:28:10] But the overmaid can only be re-elected for 465 years in a row.

[01:28:17] Which is...

[01:28:19] Like in maid time, it's...

[01:28:23] A second, really.

[01:28:25] But if you and I were to enter this castle, which is called HeckelbrĂŒcken, Ossum, Pfeffers, Lachen, Bachan, Baden, Andersie,

[01:28:34] then you would, of course, feel like it was actual...

[01:28:41] Because it's actual 465 years.

[01:28:45] Like real years with 365 days each.

[01:28:53] So, that's...

[01:28:55] I mean, it's a weird thing.

[01:28:57] But then again, maid...

[01:28:59] Being a maid is a weird thing.

[01:29:02] It's really...

[01:29:03] I mean, when I think of maids, I think of this...

[01:29:07] It's always a woman, of course.

[01:29:09] And it's...

[01:29:10] They have a black dress with a white apron.

[01:29:13] And maybe something white.

[01:29:16] Like this little hat on their head.

[01:29:20] Just to tell people their status.

[01:29:25] But that's like a 1920s, 1800...

[01:29:30] No, 1900 century thing.

[01:29:37] As you can tell, my English suddenly just drops.

[01:29:40] And I don't find any word at all.

[01:29:42] And that's where you can hear me say stuff like...

[01:29:47] I taste good food mouth good food.

[01:29:52] You know?

[01:29:55] But I hope you'll excuse my endeavors in that matter.

[01:30:00] Sometimes I think I'm really flowing, you know?

[01:30:04] Sometimes I surprise myself...

[01:30:08] Being able to improvise like this...

[01:30:10] In my second language.

[01:30:13] Which I don't know fluently.

[01:30:15] I need to think between every word.

[01:30:18] And afterwards, I'm like really exhausted.

[01:30:22] Because it's...

[01:30:25] I use my brain in a new way.

[01:30:27] Doing this in English.

[01:30:32] But I really enjoy it.

[01:30:34] I really do.

[01:30:36] So...

[01:30:39] Well...

[01:30:40] Well, let's just say that you're a maid.

[01:30:43] In this maid household.

[01:30:45] And you get elected.

[01:30:46] You have been doing this...

[01:30:49] Like...

[01:30:50] Like...

[01:30:50] Election campaign for the last year.

[01:30:52] Like if you're ever elected, you need to campaign like for the whole year.

[01:30:57] At...

[01:30:58] At the same time as you...

[01:31:00] Do your chores.

[01:31:01] Like being the boss.

[01:31:03] The president of the castle.

[01:31:04] The president of the household.

[01:31:06] And then you have this 199 other maids...

[01:31:10] Under you that...

[01:31:11] Perform tasks and...

[01:31:13] Maintenance and...

[01:31:15] Just keep up.

[01:31:16] You know...

[01:31:18] Run the everyday business.

[01:31:20] And you...

[01:31:20] You get to strategize and...

[01:31:23] Stake out the future for the...

[01:31:26] Whole...

[01:31:27] Group.

[01:31:31] So in this castle...

[01:31:33] HeckelbrĂŒcken och som pfeffer...

[01:31:34] Slachen, Bachen, Baden, Anders Se...

[01:31:35] There are...

[01:31:37] 465 rooms.

[01:31:40] Each of the rooms are like...

[01:31:42] Very unique and...

[01:31:44] Personally...

[01:31:46] Decorated and furnished.

[01:31:49] Because...

[01:31:50] Every room...

[01:31:52] Regardless of...

[01:31:54] There being a...

[01:31:55] Maid living there or not...

[01:31:57] Is...

[01:31:58] Like made...

[01:31:59] For this particular person that lived...

[01:32:02] 200 years ago.

[01:32:04] So 200 years ago this...

[01:32:07] Group of maids...

[01:32:10] Started...

[01:32:11] They got together and they formed this...

[01:32:14] Community of maids.

[01:32:15] And they started this...

[01:32:17] Very democratic system where you...

[01:32:20] Vote for the...

[01:32:21] Over maid...

[01:32:23] Each year.

[01:32:26] And...

[01:32:27] You...

[01:32:28] So...

[01:32:29] All of the rooms are like...

[01:32:31] Preserved...

[01:32:33] From the original...

[01:32:35] Maid who lived there.

[01:32:36] Because in the beginning...

[01:32:37] There were...

[01:32:38] 465 maids...

[01:32:41] And...

[01:32:41] 465 years...

[01:32:44] Each...

[01:32:44] Mandate period.

[01:32:48] And...

[01:32:49] So...

[01:32:50] The number...

[01:32:50] 465 is the thing you really should take away from this episode.

[01:32:54] Because it's a very symbolic and meaningful number...

[01:32:57] That you really, really, really should pay attention to...

[01:33:01] If you want to listen to...

[01:33:03] Like this...

[01:33:06] Sad little podcast host from Sweden...

[01:33:08] Who doesn't really know what he's talking about...

[01:33:10] Then you should really...

[01:33:12] Really, really, really...

[01:33:13] And I can't emphasize this enough without...

[01:33:16] Knowing anything about anything...

[01:33:19] You should really pay attention to the number...

[01:33:23] 465...

[01:33:24] Because...

[01:33:25] I don't know why...

[01:33:27] And...

[01:33:27] Of course...

[01:33:28] Everything I say...

[01:33:29] Is a fantasy...

[01:33:30] And you don't have to take anything I say seriously...

[01:33:40] So...

[01:33:43] Hi, sleepy...

[01:33:44] Are you still awake?

[01:33:47] I am...

[01:33:50] And...

[01:33:52] I have actually been known...

[01:33:56] For falling asleep during my episodes from time to time...

[01:34:01] I...

[01:34:03] Especially in the beginning...

[01:34:04] In the Swedish version of this podcast...

[01:34:06] I fell asleep during the episodes...

[01:34:08] Because...

[01:34:09] I couldn't really keep my thoughts apart from dreaming...

[01:34:12] Because the process when I do this is...

[01:34:16] Sort of like I'm dreaming...

[01:34:18] I...

[01:34:19] Just see things flowing through my brain...

[01:34:23] And I...

[01:34:24] Tell them out loud...

[01:34:25] And the...

[01:34:26] Hard part...

[01:34:27] Of doing this...

[01:34:28] Is to actually...

[01:34:31] Verbalize...

[01:34:33] The images...

[01:34:34] Feelings and thoughts...

[01:34:35] That drift through my brain...

[01:34:37] In real time...

[01:34:40] Because sometimes...

[01:34:41] It changes...

[01:34:42] Extremely quickly...

[01:34:44] And I can't really keep up...

[01:34:46] And then I need to just...

[01:34:48] Talk about something...

[01:34:49] Like anything...

[01:34:50] It may be...

[01:34:52] Not even from my own mind...

[01:34:54] Maybe it's just something I see...

[01:34:55] Like for instance...

[01:34:56] Right now...

[01:34:57] I'm looking at this...

[01:34:59] Curtain in the front of my door...

[01:35:01] Into my studio...

[01:35:02] And it's like...

[01:35:05] Brownish...

[01:35:05] Sound isolating...

[01:35:09] Cloth...

[01:35:11] And...

[01:35:11] You know...

[01:35:13] Just...

[01:35:13] To be able to...

[01:35:15] Avoid...

[01:35:16] Falling down into the...

[01:35:17] Abyss...

[01:35:18] That is sleep...

[01:35:21] And...

[01:35:21] Don't run off now...

[01:35:23] Yelling from the top of a tower that...

[01:35:26] This guy...

[01:35:27] This Swedish guy is...

[01:35:30] Comparing sleep to an abyss...

[01:35:32] And I don't feel like sleeping anymore...

[01:35:34] Because that scared the living crap out of me...

[01:35:36] I just wanna say that...

[01:35:39] Well...

[01:35:40] Abysses are real...

[01:35:42] You are real...

[01:35:43] The universe is real...

[01:35:46] Everything you know...

[01:35:47] Is real...

[01:35:49] In one way or another...

[01:35:51] And why wouldn't you...

[01:35:53] Be able to...

[01:35:54] Get along...

[01:35:55] For just some...

[01:35:57] Short period of time...

[01:35:59] So if you just compare yourself...

[01:36:02] Standing next to an abyss...

[01:36:04] If you just...

[01:36:05] Compare yourself...

[01:36:07] By the abyss...

[01:36:08] With yourself...

[01:36:09] Comfortable in the bed...

[01:36:11] Surrounded by loved ones...

[01:36:15] Both of the images are equally true...

[01:36:17] Because you are indeed...

[01:36:19] Next to an abyss...

[01:36:21] In so many aspects of that...

[01:36:24] Image...

[01:36:25] And you are indeed...

[01:36:27] Comfortable and safe...

[01:36:28] And we can be all of that...

[01:36:30] At the same time...

[01:36:31] And I love that...

[01:36:33] About...

[01:36:33] Life...

[01:36:34] That there's so many things going on at once...

[01:36:43] So...

[01:36:45] Right now...

[01:36:46] The overmaid is called...

[01:36:49] Delilah...

[01:36:49] And...

[01:36:50] Delilah is...

[01:36:52] A...

[01:36:53] 68 year old woman...

[01:36:57] With dark skin...

[01:37:00] Brown eyes...

[01:37:02] Curly hair...

[01:37:04] And...

[01:37:06] A nose ring...

[01:37:09] And...

[01:37:10] If you think that...

[01:37:11] The maids in this castle...

[01:37:13] Have like...

[01:37:13] Maid costumes...

[01:37:14] And such...

[01:37:15] Well...

[01:37:16] It's a...

[01:37:16] It's true in a way...

[01:37:18] Because...

[01:37:18] The undermaids...

[01:37:20] Because this is a very...

[01:37:23] Hierarchical...

[01:37:23] What do you call it?

[01:37:26] Hierarchy...

[01:37:26] It's a...

[01:37:27] Oh god...

[01:37:30] Sometimes...

[01:37:33] Hierarchical...

[01:37:34] Hierarchy...

[01:37:35] Hierarchical...

[01:37:36] Well...

[01:37:37] It's a status...

[01:37:40] Imposed society...

[01:37:42] But...

[01:37:42] It's always changing...

[01:37:44] So...

[01:37:45] Undermaid...

[01:37:46] You're only an undermaid for like...

[01:37:48] The first...

[01:37:51] 90 days...

[01:37:52] And then you get to be a maid...

[01:37:54] A regular maid...

[01:37:54] And within the maid community...

[01:37:56] You circulate...

[01:37:57] Doing different...

[01:37:58] Businesses...

[01:37:58] And the only reason that...

[01:38:00] You're an undermaid...

[01:38:01] Is that...

[01:38:01] You're underpaid...

[01:38:03] So an underpaid...

[01:38:04] Undermaid...

[01:38:05] Is...

[01:38:08] Really...

[01:38:10] So that...

[01:38:12] You get humble...

[01:38:12] When you go to baid...

[01:38:15] An underpaid...

[01:38:16] Undermaid...

[01:38:17] Is humble...

[01:38:18] When it's go...

[01:38:18] It goes to baid...

[01:38:21] And I mean bed...

[01:38:22] But I just said baid...

[01:38:24] Because...

[01:38:24] It was supposed to rhyme...

[01:38:31] Oh god...

[01:38:36] So...

[01:38:38] Yeah...

[01:38:39] So everything circulates...

[01:38:42] But Delilah...

[01:38:44] She has been...

[01:38:47] Like...

[01:38:47] So the undermaids...

[01:38:48] They have real...

[01:38:49] Actual maid costumes...

[01:38:51] Like you would recognize in any...

[01:38:54] Like...

[01:38:54] Dress up party thing...

[01:38:57] But...

[01:38:57] As soon as you become a regular maid...

[01:39:00] Or even an overmaid...

[01:39:01] Or like this assistant...

[01:39:03] You can...

[01:39:04] You get to dress like...

[01:39:05] Whatever you want...

[01:39:06] In any way...

[01:39:07] Or shape you want...

[01:39:09] So Delilah is...

[01:39:12] Like...

[01:39:13] Very confident...

[01:39:14] And she's been the overmaid for...

[01:39:17] 16 years now...

[01:39:18] Which is...

[01:39:19] Not very long...

[01:39:20] Considering you can sit for...

[01:39:22] 465 years...

[01:39:24] But...

[01:39:24] Then again...

[01:39:25] It's maid years...

[01:39:26] So for maids...

[01:39:27] That is like...

[01:39:28] Just a few days...

[01:39:31] It means that Delilah...

[01:39:33] Is...

[01:39:33] Living a very slow life...

[01:39:36] And all of the other maids as well...

[01:39:39] Well...

[01:39:39] Maybe the undermaids are a bit faster...

[01:39:43] But...

[01:39:45] That's just because they have more to do...

[01:39:48] Because...

[01:39:48] The undermaids are doing much of the...

[01:39:51] Groundwork...

[01:39:52] Really...

[01:39:53] The messy things...

[01:39:55] And...

[01:39:56] That's unfair...

[01:39:57] But...

[01:39:57] The good thing is that...

[01:39:58] You...

[01:39:59] You just have a limited time doing that...

[01:40:01] And then there are new maids being recruited...

[01:40:04] As the old ones...

[01:40:06] Get old and die...

[01:40:10] And...

[01:40:11] As it should...

[01:40:13] You know...

[01:40:13] And that's equally...

[01:40:16] Comforting for...

[01:40:17] To me...

[01:40:18] For me to know...

[01:40:20] That...

[01:40:21] There is an order of things...

[01:40:22] And that I'm a part of it...

[01:40:24] And I really love that...

[01:40:27] One day there will be this...

[01:40:29] Very young...

[01:40:32] Ambitious...

[01:40:33] Flaming person...

[01:40:35] And I will look at this person...

[01:40:37] And I will...

[01:40:39] Tell myself that...

[01:40:40] This is the one...

[01:40:42] Who should be doing what I do now...

[01:40:46] And...

[01:40:47] Then I will say...

[01:40:48] Do you want to do this...

[01:40:50] With your life?

[01:40:51] And then that person...

[01:40:53] In an ideal world...

[01:40:54] Would say...

[01:40:55] Yes, that would be an honor...

[01:40:56] And then I would say...

[01:40:58] Then go do it...

[01:40:59] And then I would cease...

[01:41:00] You know...

[01:41:04] I don't have any illusions of...

[01:41:06] Someone else...

[01:41:08] Taking over my line of work...

[01:41:09] I was talking about it...

[01:41:11] In a more symbolic way...

[01:41:12] And of course...

[01:41:13] This has to do with having a child...

[01:41:15] You know...

[01:41:15] That's really what it's all about...

[01:41:20] Having a child...

[01:41:21] Is like being the bow...

[01:41:22] That shoots the arrow...

[01:41:24] So as soon as the arrow is out in the air...

[01:41:27] The bow is sort of meaningless...

[01:41:29] The only difference is that...

[01:41:32] Me as the bow...

[01:41:33] I am also a human...

[01:41:35] And...

[01:41:36] I have this...

[01:41:38] Time left...

[01:41:39] As my daughter grows up...

[01:41:42] I now have...

[01:41:44] Like...

[01:41:45] This time...

[01:41:47] That I really don't know what to do with...

[01:41:50] And I want to fill it with purpose...

[01:41:55] I really want to fill it with...

[01:41:57] Purpose...

[01:42:02] Carrying and being carried...

[01:42:07] Like...

[01:42:08] Saying hi to someone...

[01:42:11] You know...

[01:42:12] Pretending not to know them...

[01:42:15] Just...

[01:42:16] Like a game...

[01:42:20] Like a very exciting game...

[01:42:28] Okay sorry...

[01:42:29] I'm...

[01:42:30] Spacing out...

[01:42:34] So...

[01:42:35] Delilah is living a very slow life...

[01:42:37] That's where I left you...

[01:42:39] Uh...

[01:42:40] She's...

[01:42:43] Like...

[01:42:44] If you can imagine...

[01:42:45] Like this Greenland whale...

[01:42:47] That's been swimming in the ocean...

[01:42:49] Since the...

[01:42:52] 1600s...

[01:42:54] And...

[01:42:55] Well that's true...

[01:42:57] Because they get really old...

[01:42:59] I mean there are...

[01:43:00] Greenland whales...

[01:43:02] Right now...

[01:43:03] Who lived at the same time as...

[01:43:07] William Shakespeare...

[01:43:10] Who...

[01:43:11] Seen...

[01:43:11] Like...

[01:43:12] Almost...

[01:43:14] Any...

[01:43:14] War in modern history...

[01:43:16] Will not seen...

[01:43:17] Because they don't see...

[01:43:19] Like that...

[01:43:19] They are in...

[01:43:21] Deep waters...

[01:43:22] And they don't...

[01:43:23] Pay any attention to what...

[01:43:24] We as...

[01:43:25] The human community are doing...

[01:43:28] And...

[01:43:28] That's a good thing I guess...

[01:43:30] Because I...

[01:43:30] I can't imagine them...

[01:43:32] Living this long...

[01:43:33] If they were caught up in our...

[01:43:36] Messy endeavors...

[01:43:42] But...

[01:43:43] That's Delilah for you...

[01:43:45] She's just...

[01:43:46] This...

[01:43:47] Slow...

[01:43:48] Swimming...

[01:43:48] Greenland whale...

[01:43:50] Sitting in her...

[01:43:51] Overmade office...

[01:43:54] Meditating...

[01:43:55] Like...

[01:43:56] Constantly...

[01:43:58] Like...

[01:43:59] Legs crossed...

[01:44:01] Hands on your knees...

[01:44:03] Eyes closed...

[01:44:04] On a pillow on the ground...

[01:44:07] She's meditating...

[01:44:09] Like...

[01:44:09] She's constantly aware...

[01:44:14] And...

[01:44:14] I mean...

[01:44:15] That's really the aim of meditating...

[01:44:17] As far as I...

[01:44:19] As far as I'm concerned...

[01:44:21] I don't even know what I'm talking about right now...

[01:44:25] I've been meditating for a year...

[01:44:27] And I'm totally caught up in it...

[01:44:29] And...

[01:44:30] The idea of being...

[01:44:32] Aware...

[01:44:34] I love the idea of awareness being this...

[01:44:38] Ungrippable...

[01:44:40] Space...

[01:44:41] Within...

[01:44:42] And outside...

[01:44:43] That I can just dwell in...

[01:44:46] You know...

[01:44:47] That I can just activate...

[01:44:50] Knowledge of...

[01:44:52] But I don't really know...

[01:44:54] But Delilah too...

[01:44:56] She's such a great meditator...

[01:44:59] And she's come to this point...

[01:45:00] Where she doesn't...

[01:45:01] Really need to sit...

[01:45:03] Or lie down...

[01:45:04] And close her eyes...

[01:45:05] And focus on her breathing...

[01:45:07] And stuff like that...

[01:45:08] Because that's all objects of meditation...

[01:45:10] And...

[01:45:11] Anything can be an object...

[01:45:13] Of meditation...

[01:45:15] So she's focusing on her feelings...

[01:45:19] And she lets her feelings...

[01:45:21] Whatever character the feeling is like...

[01:45:24] Shaped...

[01:45:26] Like...

[01:45:27] And...

[01:45:29] She's focusing...

[01:45:31] And making her...

[01:45:32] Current emotion...

[01:45:34] The anchor of her...

[01:45:36] Constant 24-7 meditation...

[01:45:42] So this doesn't mean that she's not...

[01:45:46] Involved...

[01:45:47] In the castle's everyday business...

[01:45:50] This doesn't mean that she's in this secluded room...

[01:45:54] Behind a curtain...

[01:45:55] Sitting on the floor...

[01:45:56] Just breathing...

[01:45:58] She's active...

[01:45:59] But yeah...

[01:46:00] Because you can be...

[01:46:02] You can be active...

[01:46:03] While meditating...

[01:46:06] It's...

[01:46:07] Something of a myth...

[01:46:08] That you just have to sit...

[01:46:10] Like...

[01:46:11] Legs crossed...

[01:46:12] And just...

[01:46:15] Surround yourself with...

[01:46:19] Maddest...

[01:46:20] Cozy...

[01:46:20] Soft...

[01:46:21] Things...

[01:46:22] Just to get away from the world...

[01:46:23] It helps...

[01:46:25] When you're not...

[01:46:26] When you're...

[01:46:28] Learning how to meditate...

[01:46:29] But the goal...

[01:46:31] Really is...

[01:46:32] At least for me...

[01:46:33] And...

[01:46:34] Other meditators...

[01:46:36] Is...

[01:46:37] Like...

[01:46:38] This should be a constant...

[01:46:39] Ongoing thing...

[01:46:41] Where...

[01:46:41] You are aware...

[01:46:43] Of what's...

[01:46:43] Happening...

[01:46:44] At every given moment...

[01:46:46] And you don't...

[01:46:47] You get to be more agile...

[01:46:49] In your mind...

[01:46:50] You can choose...

[01:46:52] What you want to connect with...

[01:46:54] What you want to...

[01:46:55] Attach yourself to...

[01:47:00] Because...

[01:47:01] There are...

[01:47:02] Stuff...

[01:47:03] In the world...

[01:47:04] That you really want to attach yourself to...

[01:47:06] Like for instance...

[01:47:07] There's this one recurring feeling in me...

[01:47:09] Right now...

[01:47:10] Every morning when I wake up...

[01:47:12] I...

[01:47:13] I am...

[01:47:14] Overwhelmed by that feeling...

[01:47:17] And...

[01:47:17] I get to...

[01:47:19] Choose...

[01:47:19] To attach to it...

[01:47:22] And...

[01:47:22] That's a powerful thing...

[01:47:24] To choose...

[01:47:25] Because I now know...

[01:47:26] That I can choose...

[01:47:27] What feeling I want to attach to...

[01:47:30] Something...

[01:47:30] Sometimes it's...

[01:47:31] Really hard not to attach...

[01:47:33] To stuff...

[01:47:34] But this particular feeling...

[01:47:37] It's really...

[01:47:39] Really...

[01:47:40] A magical thing...

[01:47:41] To...

[01:47:43] Just allow yourself...

[01:47:45] To ride that wagon...

[01:47:47] To ride that...

[01:47:49] Rollercoaster for a while...

[01:47:53] And then you...

[01:47:54] Get to step off the rollercoaster...

[01:47:56] And you go downstairs...

[01:47:57] And you have coffee...

[01:47:59] And life is so beautiful...

[01:48:01] You know...

[01:48:03] Because you've...

[01:48:04] You're in control of...

[01:48:06] What you want...

[01:48:08] To engage in...

[01:48:10] And I'm not talking about...

[01:48:12] Like putting up walls...

[01:48:14] And...

[01:48:14] Forbidding yourself to feel stuff...

[01:48:16] Because you can't...

[01:48:17] You can't forbid yourself...

[01:48:20] From...

[01:48:21] Thinking or feeling stuff...

[01:48:22] Well you can try...

[01:48:24] But...

[01:48:24] It'll hurt you...

[01:48:26] I have tried...

[01:48:27] For so many years of my life...

[01:48:30] There are so many things...

[01:48:32] That I just left...

[01:48:34] Unnoticed...

[01:48:36] Or...

[01:48:36] That I didn't want to look at...

[01:48:38] Because...

[01:48:39] The hurt was too big...

[01:48:41] The hurt was too great...

[01:48:43] And...

[01:48:44] I told myself...

[01:48:45] That if I just...

[01:48:48] Ripped the door...

[01:48:51] Put...

[01:48:52] Brick...

[01:48:53] In front of it...

[01:48:55] That it would go away...

[01:49:00] It's...

[01:49:00] I mean...

[01:49:01] Feelings and thoughts are...

[01:49:05] Grusively...

[01:49:07] Astonishing...

[01:49:07] Powerful things...

[01:49:09] That can break down...

[01:49:10] Almost any wall...

[01:49:13] And that...

[01:49:14] Delilah knows...

[01:49:15] She's sitting in her office...

[01:49:18] And she's out...

[01:49:19] With the other maids...

[01:49:20] Doing stuff...

[01:49:22] They play a lot...

[01:49:24] And...

[01:49:25] Now I'm gonna get to the part...

[01:49:26] Where they're dancing in the hallway...

[01:49:30] So they have this dance...

[01:49:32] Every morning...

[01:49:33] The maids...

[01:49:35] Put on their clothes...

[01:49:37] And they join...

[01:49:39] Together in the great...

[01:49:41] Atrium...

[01:49:41] Down in the hall...

[01:49:43] And...

[01:49:44] There's this...

[01:49:46] Pool...

[01:49:47] This very shallow pool...

[01:49:48] In the...

[01:49:50] Atrium...

[01:49:51] That...

[01:49:51] With a small...

[01:49:53] Very...

[01:49:55] Soft...

[01:49:57] Silent...

[01:50:00] Fountain...

[01:50:01] In the middle...

[01:50:02] Which just...

[01:50:05] Splurs...

[01:50:05] Water...

[01:50:06] Like...

[01:50:06] A centimeter up...

[01:50:08] So it's just a little...

[01:50:09] A small...

[01:50:11] Very weak...

[01:50:12] Splashing sound...

[01:50:13] From this...

[01:50:14] And...

[01:50:15] The only thing it really does...

[01:50:16] Is that it...

[01:50:17] It...

[01:50:18] Provides...

[01:50:18] Like this...

[01:50:19] Some sort of...

[01:50:20] Presence in this very...

[01:50:23] Big...

[01:50:23] Atrium...

[01:50:24] Which...

[01:50:24] Otherwise would be...

[01:50:25] A bit...

[01:50:27] Overwhelming...

[01:50:28] I think...

[01:50:28] Because it's stone...

[01:50:31] Stone...

[01:50:32] Vaults...

[01:50:33] You know...

[01:50:33] Around it...

[01:50:39] So...

[01:50:41] There...

[01:50:41] The maids gather every morning...

[01:50:43] And they do the morning dance...

[01:50:45] And that was what I was referring to...

[01:50:47] When talking about...

[01:50:49] Maids...

[01:50:50] Dancing in the hallway...

[01:50:53] And they...

[01:50:54] Dance like...

[01:50:56] At first they're very stiff...

[01:50:59] Because you're always very stiff in the morning...

[01:51:01] Regardless of age and form...

[01:51:04] So...

[01:51:05] They need to stretch...

[01:51:06] So they bend forward...

[01:51:08] And...

[01:51:09] Make their...

[01:51:11] Spines like...

[01:51:14] Stretch out...

[01:51:18] Unfold...

[01:51:19] You know...

[01:51:20] And then they stretch backwards...

[01:51:22] And then there's always this...

[01:51:26] Creaking...

[01:51:26] Sound from their bones...

[01:51:28] When doing that...

[01:51:29] And...

[01:51:30] Then they start to dance...

[01:51:32] So they...

[01:51:33] Hook arms...

[01:51:37] Sorry...

[01:51:37] What do you call it?

[01:51:38] When you...

[01:51:38] When you take...

[01:51:41] When you take...

[01:51:42] Each other under the arm...

[01:51:44] Like...

[01:51:44] You make a...

[01:51:46] Some sort of a hook...

[01:51:47] With your arm...

[01:51:47] And you hook that hook into...

[01:51:49] You attach that hook into the other person's...

[01:51:52] Arm hook...

[01:51:53] And then you dance around...

[01:51:55] You know...

[01:51:56] And the music is like...

[01:51:59] It's very weird...

[01:52:03] Mishmash...

[01:52:05] Between...

[01:52:07] Irish folk music...

[01:52:09] And...

[01:52:10] Death metal...

[01:52:11] Like...

[01:52:12] Texas death metal...

[01:52:14] If there is such a thing...

[01:52:16] And...

[01:52:18] If you're...

[01:52:20] Please...

[01:52:21] Just...

[01:52:21] Share with me some...

[01:52:23] Texas death metal bands...

[01:52:25] If you have it in you...

[01:52:26] If you know...

[01:52:26] Some Texas death metal bands...

[01:52:30] Then...

[01:52:31] Please...

[01:52:31] Just...

[01:52:32] Tell me about it...

[01:52:34] Uh...

[01:52:35] Not because I like it...

[01:52:37] But because I want to give you jobs and...

[01:52:40] Tasks...

[01:52:41] Sometimes...

[01:52:42] In this...

[01:52:43] Podcast...

[01:52:44] Because I really enjoy...

[01:52:45] Making people do random stuff...

[01:52:50] Okay...

[01:52:51] So now I'm gonna give you...

[01:52:52] This weird...

[01:52:54] Random...

[01:52:55] Mission...

[01:52:56] I want to...

[01:52:58] This only applies...

[01:52:59] If you have someone in bed with you...

[01:53:02] And...

[01:53:03] I don't want you to do anything that...

[01:53:06] Makes other...

[01:53:07] Makes someone else upset...

[01:53:08] Or sad...

[01:53:09] Or whatever...

[01:53:10] So...

[01:53:11] Do this only if you can...

[01:53:13] With good conscience...

[01:53:16] And...

[01:53:16] Your sense of morality intact...

[01:53:18] But I want you to turn to that person...

[01:53:21] If someone is next to you...

[01:53:22] Either in bed...

[01:53:23] Or in...

[01:53:23] Like...

[01:53:24] Waken life...

[01:53:25] Environment...

[01:53:26] Somewhere...

[01:53:26] And I want you to...

[01:53:28] Like...

[01:53:29] Get their attention...

[01:53:30] In some way...

[01:53:31] And when you have their attention...

[01:53:32] I want you to stare at them...

[01:53:35] Like...

[01:53:35] Really seriously...

[01:53:37] Stare at them...

[01:53:38] Not in a frightening way...

[01:53:41] But...

[01:53:41] Like this...

[01:53:42] Like you really mean business...

[01:53:43] And then I want you to say...

[01:53:46] With your most...

[01:53:48] Serious voice...

[01:53:50] My mother is a burglar from Boston...

[01:53:56] I mean...

[01:53:58] Don't try to analyze this...

[01:53:59] Because there is no...

[01:54:01] Underlying thought...

[01:54:03] I just...

[01:54:04] Tried to come up with the most nonsensical thing...

[01:54:07] I could ever...

[01:54:08] Imagine...

[01:54:09] But...

[01:54:10] The fun thing about this is...

[01:54:12] That you create...

[01:54:14] Like some sort of...

[01:54:15] Dissonance in the world...

[01:54:17] When you do this...

[01:54:18] It's not a dangerous dissonance...

[01:54:20] It doesn't...

[01:54:21] Hurt anyone...

[01:54:23] It's just confusing...

[01:54:24] And...

[01:54:25] I really think we need...

[01:54:27] Confusing things...

[01:54:28] In the world...

[01:54:30] Because everything is so thought through...

[01:54:33] I mean...

[01:54:34] At least on the surface...

[01:54:35] Because...

[01:54:36] Really...

[01:54:37] No one ever...

[01:54:39] Is truly composed...

[01:54:40] No one...

[01:54:42] Ever really has control...

[01:54:44] It's just that...

[01:54:45] We go around...

[01:54:46] And we pretend to have control...

[01:54:48] We pretend to be...

[01:54:50] In control...

[01:54:52] And to understand...

[01:54:53] Everything that's going on around us...

[01:54:55] Which is like...

[01:54:56] This is so ridiculous...

[01:54:58] That we still think...

[01:55:01] With everything we know...

[01:55:03] About the universe...

[01:55:05] And with everything we know...

[01:55:06] That we definitely don't have any clue about...

[01:55:09] I mean...

[01:55:10] That's the main thing of living today...

[01:55:12] That we know so much...

[01:55:14] But yet...

[01:55:15] What we really know...

[01:55:18] Is that we really don't know anything...

[01:55:21] And that's a difference...

[01:55:24] From like...

[01:55:25] 200 years ago...

[01:55:28] Because by then...

[01:55:29] People thought that they really had...

[01:55:31] All of it figured out...

[01:55:33] But now we know that we don't...

[01:55:36] And we may never...

[01:55:38] Have...

[01:55:39] Everything figured out...

[01:55:41] So that's why...

[01:55:43] I really like...

[01:55:44] Small stuff...

[01:55:46] Of...

[01:55:47] Confusion...

[01:55:47] Being created by...

[01:55:49] Good people...

[01:55:50] Without any intention of harm...

[01:55:54] Just looking at someone...

[01:55:56] And saying that...

[01:55:58] Weird nonsensical thing...

[01:56:00] That your mother is a burglar from Boston...

[01:56:05] It's fun because...

[01:56:06] Boston and burglar...

[01:56:07] Is two good words to put together...

[01:56:10] Because they all...

[01:56:11] Both start with a B...

[01:56:12] So it's an easy thing...

[01:56:14] And yet...

[01:56:15] It's so specific...

[01:56:17] And why would you want to tell someone...

[01:56:19] That your mother is a burglar...

[01:56:21] And why is it important that she's from Boston?

[01:56:25] You know?

[01:56:26] And...

[01:56:27] And...

[01:56:28] What even is a burglar?

[01:56:29] I mean...

[01:56:32] What...

[01:56:33] Is it...

[01:56:34] Is it something that...

[01:56:36] Is it an occupation?

[01:56:37] Or has she just...

[01:56:39] Broke into someone's house like once...

[01:56:41] And stole...

[01:56:42] Like this...

[01:56:44] Handkerchief?

[01:56:46] Or what...

[01:56:47] What do you call it?

[01:56:48] This thing that you wipe your nose with...

[01:56:51] Nose...

[01:56:54] Nose...

[01:56:55] It's cold, Henrik...

[01:56:56] Please try and speak proper English...

[01:56:59] Because your listeners will...

[01:57:01] Abandon you...

[01:57:04] I recently got a few new listeners from India...

[01:57:08] Hello...

[01:57:09] Welcome to my podcast, by the way...

[01:57:12] India is a very exciting country...

[01:57:14] And I...

[01:57:15] I have thought about...

[01:57:18] Like reaching out...

[01:57:20] To more people in India...

[01:57:23] Because...

[01:57:24] There is this...

[01:57:27] I get...

[01:57:28] More and more...

[01:57:31] Also...

[01:57:31] Followers...

[01:57:32] From India...

[01:57:33] So I guess it's just this...

[01:57:37] Maybe I...

[01:57:39] Maybe...

[01:57:40] There is a place for fall asleep...

[01:57:42] With Henrik there...

[01:57:43] So thank you for being here...

[01:57:44] And...

[01:57:45] Thank you for being here...

[01:57:46] Everyone from the States...

[01:57:48] Because...

[01:57:49] The...

[01:57:50] The greatest number of you are...

[01:57:53] So far from the States...

[01:57:55] And...

[01:57:56] England...

[01:57:56] And Canada...

[01:57:57] And then a few of you from Europe...

[01:58:00] And I love you all...

[01:58:06] So...

[01:58:06] I...

[01:58:07] Well this was about to be about the Transylvanian maids...

[01:58:11] Dancing in the hallway...

[01:58:12] And I guess I've reached that...

[01:58:16] I don't have...

[01:58:17] There is no morality...

[01:58:19] To this story...

[01:58:21] There is no...

[01:58:23] There is no...

[01:58:23] Like...

[01:58:24] So that's why you never should wear a hat...

[01:58:27] During...

[01:58:27] Pizza hour...

[01:58:29] Or something like that...

[01:58:31] There is no...

[01:58:34] Moral...

[01:58:34] To the story...

[01:58:36] The only thing I wanted...

[01:58:38] Want you to take...

[01:58:40] With you...

[01:58:41] From this...

[01:58:42] Event...

[01:58:43] Is that...

[01:58:47] What really matters...

[01:58:49] You know...

[01:58:51] We're on this...

[01:58:53] Spinning...

[01:58:54] Rock...

[01:58:57] We don't know why...

[01:59:02] We really have no clue...

[01:59:04] Even what...

[01:59:04] This...

[01:59:06] What we call...

[01:59:07] Existence...

[01:59:08] Really is...

[01:59:09] We can't see outside...

[01:59:11] Outside of it...

[01:59:12] It's just...

[01:59:13] Here...

[01:59:14] That's all we have...

[01:59:15] And...

[01:59:17] The space around us...

[01:59:18] Is expanding in an...

[01:59:20] Ever exhilarating...

[01:59:21] Accelerating...

[01:59:22] Rate...

[01:59:23] And we don't know...

[01:59:24] Why that is either...

[01:59:26] Why does the...

[01:59:27] Rate of the expansion...

[01:59:28] Accelerate?

[01:59:30] Why does...

[01:59:32] Distant galaxies...

[01:59:34] Move away from us...

[01:59:35] In a speed...

[01:59:37] Like in relation to us...

[01:59:39] That even succeeds light...

[01:59:42] I'm not saying that...

[01:59:44] They are actually moving...

[01:59:45] Faster than light...

[01:59:46] Because nothing can really...

[01:59:48] I guess...

[01:59:49] But...

[01:59:52] In relation to us...

[01:59:54] Their speed...

[01:59:55] Their speed...

[01:59:56] Related to us...

[01:59:57] Is...

[01:59:58] Like...

[01:59:59] Double the light...

[02:00:00] Or something...

[02:00:02] And...

[02:00:02] Why is that?

[02:00:04] We don't know...

[02:00:05] So...

[02:00:07] You can feel...

[02:00:08] Scared or small...

[02:00:09] Or...

[02:00:13] Yeah...

[02:00:14] The wind...

[02:00:15] The world can spin around you...

[02:00:17] When you think about those things...

[02:00:20] But you can also choose to just say...

[02:00:25] Okay...

[02:00:29] Okay world...

[02:00:31] I don't know...

[02:00:33] What this is...

[02:00:35] I don't know...

[02:00:36] What the purpose is...

[02:00:38] Or if there even is one...

[02:00:40] Probably not really...

[02:00:42] At least not in a sense that I...

[02:00:44] Put in the word...

[02:00:48] Purpose...

[02:00:51] Okay...

[02:00:53] Maybe there isn't a point...

[02:00:55] Or maybe I just misjudged the whole meaning of the word point...

[02:01:00] In this context...

[02:01:02] Maybe there's just now...

[02:01:05] And maybe there's just...

[02:01:08] Aware...

[02:01:09] You know...

[02:01:10] I'm sitting in a chair...

[02:01:12] Talking to this...

[02:01:14] Person that I don't know...

[02:01:15] On the other side of the world...

[02:01:19] And I...

[02:01:20] Don't know anything else about...

[02:01:23] Why or...

[02:01:25] Where or...

[02:01:27] How...

[02:01:29] The only thing I know is...

[02:01:31] I experience this...

[02:01:36] And coffee is really good...

[02:01:38] And pizza is really good...

[02:01:42] And...

[02:01:43] Love is really great...

[02:01:47] And...

[02:01:51] You sleepy...

[02:01:53] You're the best of them all...

[02:01:56] Good night...

[02:01:58] Hi and welcome to Fall Asleep with Henrik...

[02:02:03] I'm Henrik...

[02:02:04] And...

[02:02:05] As usual...

[02:02:07] You are sleepy...

[02:02:08] That's your name...

[02:02:10] As far as...

[02:02:12] I'm concerned...

[02:02:14] And...

[02:02:15] It is what it is...

[02:02:17] What happens...

[02:02:20] Happens...

[02:02:21] And right now...

[02:02:23] There is nothing you can do...

[02:02:25] Or I can do...

[02:02:26] About it...

[02:02:30] Let's begin...

[02:02:32] Hi sleepy...

[02:02:34] How are you?

[02:02:38] I'm...

[02:02:40] Almost...

[02:02:41] On my back...

[02:02:42] In the chair today...

[02:02:46] I have...

[02:02:47] Like...

[02:02:49] It's very hot...

[02:02:52] Outside...

[02:02:52] Of my...

[02:02:54] Studio...

[02:02:54] Adventure Wolf...

[02:02:55] Today...

[02:02:56] And I...

[02:02:58] Tend to...

[02:02:59] My pulse...

[02:03:00] Tend to rise...

[02:03:01] When it's...

[02:03:02] Hot outside...

[02:03:03] And...

[02:03:04] Right now...

[02:03:05] I'm...

[02:03:06] Almost on my back...

[02:03:08] Because I feel...

[02:03:09] I can relax more...

[02:03:10] When my pulse gets up...

[02:03:15] I am right now...

[02:03:19] In the middle of...

[02:03:23] I don't know...

[02:03:24] Trying to...

[02:03:26] Slow down the day...

[02:03:31] Sometimes...

[02:03:31] I have this feeling...

[02:03:33] When the day is done...

[02:03:34] That I'm not done...

[02:03:36] Although the day is...

[02:03:38] I don't know...

[02:03:39] How to slow down...

[02:03:41] Maybe my speed...

[02:03:45] Is...

[02:03:46] Like...

[02:03:47] Higher than...

[02:03:48] Other people...

[02:03:50] Other people's speed...

[02:03:51] Around this time of day...

[02:03:53] Or maybe there are others...

[02:03:55] That I don't know of...

[02:03:56] That...

[02:03:57] It's a slow riser...

[02:04:01] That...

[02:04:02] Maybe accelerates...

[02:04:04] Slower...

[02:04:05] And then...

[02:04:06] Have trouble slowing down...

[02:04:07] When the day does...

[02:04:14] If you're new to this podcast...

[02:04:16] This is a sleeping podcast...

[02:04:18] I'm going to talk...

[02:04:19] And you don't have to listen...

[02:04:21] You've pressed play...

[02:04:22] And that's all you really need to know...

[02:04:24] And that's all you really need to do...

[02:04:28] You don't have to do anything else...

[02:04:31] You can listen if you want...

[02:04:32] But you don't have to...

[02:04:35] Just let my voice be...

[02:04:36] Whatever it is...

[02:04:38] And if you're wondering...

[02:04:40] In case you're wondering about my accent...

[02:04:42] I am from Sweden...

[02:04:44] My name is Henrik...

[02:04:45] Henrik StÄl...

[02:04:47] I'm a 48-year-old male...

[02:04:49] From Stockholm, Sweden...

[02:04:52] And I live...

[02:04:53] Right at the edge of a vast forest...

[02:04:56] Outside of Stockholm...

[02:05:01] Earlier today I was out in that...

[02:05:03] Very forest...

[02:05:06] And I watched...

[02:05:10] All the trees...

[02:05:14] And they...

[02:05:14] They are...

[02:05:15] There...

[02:05:16] You know...

[02:05:17] No matter what...

[02:05:18] I go through...

[02:05:19] And no matter what happens in the world...

[02:05:21] The trees...

[02:05:23] They just stand there...

[02:05:25] They don't move...

[02:05:26] Sometimes they tilt...

[02:05:28] They...

[02:05:29] Fall over...

[02:05:30] If there...

[02:05:31] Is a lot of snow on them...

[02:05:33] In the wintertime...

[02:05:34] Or if there's a storm...

[02:05:36] But...

[02:05:37] Otherwise they're very persistent...

[02:05:39] And they stand tall...

[02:05:41] And they never move...

[02:05:45] So...

[02:05:46] There are some...

[02:05:47] Trees...

[02:05:48] In my forest...

[02:05:50] It's not mine...

[02:05:51] Per se...

[02:05:53] But the forest...

[02:05:54] I use...

[02:05:55] Every day...

[02:05:56] For my recreational needs...

[02:06:01] There's a couple of them...

[02:06:06] That...

[02:06:07] Are very tall...

[02:06:08] And I don't know...

[02:06:12] Any...

[02:06:13] Any names of trees...

[02:06:15] In English...

[02:06:17] I know there's...

[02:06:19] Pine cones...

[02:06:21] Pine cones...

[02:06:23] Pines...

[02:06:24] I don't know...

[02:06:25] If pine...

[02:06:26] Is pine a tree?

[02:06:28] Oak...

[02:06:29] Large...

[02:06:31] Birch...

[02:06:32] There's a lot of...

[02:06:35] Trees...

[02:06:36] In English...

[02:06:38] Anyway...

[02:06:39] What I was gonna say...

[02:06:40] Was that...

[02:06:41] Some of them...

[02:06:43] Are very...

[02:06:48] Breathtakingly...

[02:06:49] Tall...

[02:06:52] And...

[02:06:53] Whenever I pass them...

[02:06:54] I get this feeling...

[02:06:56] Of...

[02:06:57] Calmness...

[02:06:57] Because...

[02:06:58] They are so...

[02:07:02] They don't move...

[02:07:03] At all...

[02:07:05] Even when the wind is gusting through their leaves...

[02:07:08] Or...

[02:07:10] Or...

[02:07:10] What else...

[02:07:11] Other stuff they have...

[02:07:13] Pines...

[02:07:14] Or whatever...

[02:07:18] I'm a bit embarrassed...

[02:07:20] That I don't know the words...

[02:07:21] For what's on the...

[02:07:22] Branches of the trees...

[02:07:24] I know leaves...

[02:07:26] But...

[02:07:27] What is it...

[02:07:27] When you know...

[02:07:28] You know the stuff that you can...

[02:07:29] Get stuck...

[02:07:30] That can hurt you...

[02:07:32] If you...

[02:07:33] They are sharp...

[02:07:34] What...

[02:07:35] What is it?

[02:07:36] Is it...

[02:07:38] Is it pines?

[02:07:39] In Swedish we say...

[02:07:43] Bar...

[02:07:46] Okay...

[02:07:48] Anyway...

[02:07:48] So...

[02:07:51] I think that I like...

[02:07:52] That there are...

[02:07:53] They are a force...

[02:07:54] To be reckoned with...

[02:07:56] It's a force that can...

[02:08:01] That's there...

[02:08:01] That is a...

[02:08:02] It's an everlasting present in my life...

[02:08:04] And I like that...

[02:08:06] I really like...

[02:08:07] The...

[02:08:10] Conformity of it...

[02:08:12] That...

[02:08:13] No matter what happens in my life...

[02:08:15] I have this...

[02:08:19] Living organism...

[02:08:21] Just outside my...

[02:08:22] Door...

[02:08:24] And even when I don't think about them...

[02:08:26] They're just there...

[02:08:27] And they have been...

[02:08:28] Since I was little...

[02:08:30] Some of these trees are...

[02:08:32] Even older than I am...

[02:08:33] Especially the oaks...

[02:08:35] Out here...

[02:08:42] And in me today...

[02:08:43] Is...

[02:08:44] Like this...

[02:08:45] Wave form...

[02:08:47] Of dark and light...

[02:08:50] And...

[02:08:54] I love it...

[02:08:55] About me...

[02:08:56] That I am...

[02:08:57] Bright...

[02:08:58] And dark...

[02:09:00] Within...

[02:09:01] I love it about me...

[02:09:02] That I...

[02:09:03] Can...

[02:09:04] Travel between spectrums of...

[02:09:06] Being Henrik...

[02:09:07] But it's...

[02:09:08] At the same time...

[02:09:09] It's...

[02:09:12] Exhausting...

[02:09:15] I wish I could be...

[02:09:18] Sometimes...

[02:09:19] No...

[02:09:20] I don't wish that...

[02:09:21] I don't wish I would be...

[02:09:23] More of a...

[02:09:25] Straight line kind of...

[02:09:26] Person...

[02:09:27] I guess I love me...

[02:09:28] I guess I really do...

[02:09:30] It's just...

[02:09:31] Sometimes...

[02:09:32] I wish I could be more like...

[02:09:35] Shrug things off...

[02:09:37] You know...

[02:09:38] Just...

[02:09:40] Shrug...

[02:09:42] And move on...

[02:09:43] I have a...

[02:09:45] Hard time...

[02:09:46] Doing that...

[02:09:50] So today...

[02:09:51] I have this idea...

[02:09:52] That I would try...

[02:09:53] And make a story...

[02:09:56] Um...

[02:09:57] I don't have an idea...

[02:09:59] I just came up with this...

[02:10:01] I just...

[02:10:01] Like...

[02:10:02] One second ago...

[02:10:03] But I...

[02:10:04] To be honest...

[02:10:05] I've had these...

[02:10:06] Thoughts in my mind for a while...

[02:10:08] That I want to try...

[02:10:10] The storytelling...

[02:10:11] Thing...

[02:10:12] In English as well...

[02:10:15] In the Swedish...

[02:10:16] Version of this podcast...

[02:10:18] Somna med Henrik...

[02:10:20] I...

[02:10:21] Tell...

[02:10:21] Stories...

[02:10:21] Frequently...

[02:10:22] I'm...

[02:10:22] I'm not just talking about me...

[02:10:24] And my own emotion...

[02:10:25] Even though...

[02:10:26] Of course...

[02:10:27] Everything has to do with me...

[02:10:28] And my emotions...

[02:10:29] Since I don't write...

[02:10:30] Any scripts...

[02:10:31] Or prepare anything in advance...

[02:10:34] So...

[02:10:37] Of course...

[02:10:37] Everything is about me...

[02:10:39] And what I go through...

[02:10:41] But I would...

[02:10:42] I would like to try to...

[02:10:45] Put this into the perspective...

[02:10:48] Of a story...

[02:10:49] About someone else...

[02:10:51] And in a...

[02:10:52] Quote-on-quote...

[02:10:53] Fictional environment...

[02:10:57] So this is a story...

[02:10:59] All about how...

[02:11:00] My life got twisted...

[02:11:02] Upside down...

[02:11:05] No...

[02:11:06] It's not...

[02:11:07] It's not the intro to...

[02:11:10] Fresh Prince in Bel-Air...

[02:11:11] It's...

[02:11:12] It's a story...

[02:11:14] I just haven't...

[02:11:15] Come up with it yet...

[02:11:17] I'm gonna do that...

[02:11:19] Right now...

[02:11:20] So once upon a time...

[02:11:22] There was this...

[02:11:26] Furniture carpenter...

[02:11:28] Named...

[02:11:29] Billy...

[02:11:30] And Billy...

[02:11:32] He...

[02:11:33] He made furniture...

[02:11:35] For old people...

[02:11:37] Mainly...

[02:11:38] Mainly old people...

[02:11:40] But of course...

[02:11:40] His furniture...

[02:11:42] Wasn't really...

[02:11:43] Adapted to...

[02:11:44] Old people in particular...

[02:11:46] It was just...

[02:11:47] His...

[02:11:48] Customer base...

[02:11:49] Was mainly old people...

[02:11:51] Because he...

[02:11:52] Himself...

[02:11:52] Billy...

[02:11:53] Was an old man...

[02:11:54] And he worked at this...

[02:11:55] It was his own company...

[02:11:57] And...

[02:11:58] It was called...

[02:11:59] Backlunds...

[02:12:01] Furniture...

[02:12:03] Backlunds...

[02:12:04] Is...

[02:12:05] It's a Swedish...

[02:12:06] Surname...

[02:12:07] Backlund...

[02:12:08] And when I grew up...

[02:12:10] There was this...

[02:12:11] Furniture...

[02:12:12] Warehouse...

[02:12:13] In the little village...

[02:12:14] Where I...

[02:12:15] Lived...

[02:12:16] Who was called...

[02:12:19] Backlunds...

[02:12:19] Möbler...

[02:12:20] Backlunds...

[02:12:21] Furniture...

[02:12:23] So...

[02:12:26] In order to...

[02:12:27] Remember the name...

[02:12:29] Billy...

[02:12:29] And his workplace...

[02:12:31] Backlunds...

[02:12:32] I need to...

[02:12:34] Take names from...

[02:12:35] My actual life...

[02:12:36] Not Billy...

[02:12:37] Billy is a non-existent person...

[02:12:39] I don't know any Billy...

[02:12:41] Or do I?

[02:12:44] No...

[02:12:45] I don't know...

[02:12:46] Any Billy...

[02:12:49] So...

[02:12:50] He was living alone...

[02:12:52] He was spending most of his days...

[02:12:54] In solitude...

[02:12:56] And...

[02:12:56] That suited him very well...

[02:12:58] He was...

[02:12:58] Not very fond of...

[02:13:03] Company...

[02:13:03] He was...

[02:13:04] A loner...

[02:13:05] People said...

[02:13:06] And he had been for the...

[02:13:07] His entire life...

[02:13:09] Once when he was young...

[02:13:10] He had...

[02:13:12] Guided...

[02:13:12] Like...

[02:13:13] His...

[02:13:16] Sister...

[02:13:17] And his sister's friend...

[02:13:19] Through...

[02:13:19] The warehouse...

[02:13:20] Through his...

[02:13:22] Furniture warehouse...

[02:13:23] And that was the closest...

[02:13:25] Contact he had ever been...

[02:13:27] With...

[02:13:27] A woman...

[02:13:29] And...

[02:13:30] As far as men...

[02:13:32] They...

[02:13:32] Were also...

[02:13:34] Sort of strangers...

[02:13:35] In his life...

[02:13:36] Of course...

[02:13:36] When he was younger...

[02:13:37] He had friends...

[02:13:38] And they were all male friends...

[02:13:40] As was custom at the time...

[02:13:42] But he didn't really...

[02:13:44] Ever fit in...

[02:13:45] He was this...

[02:13:46] Person who...

[02:13:48] Thought that...

[02:13:49] All type of...

[02:13:50] Group activity...

[02:13:51] Was some sort of...

[02:13:52] A psychotic...

[02:13:53] Event...

[02:13:54] And he didn't...

[02:13:56] Understand...

[02:13:57] The...

[02:13:58] Factors at play...

[02:13:59] He couldn't...

[02:14:01] Read between the lines...

[02:14:04] Some would say...

[02:14:05] He...

[02:14:06] Had a touch of...

[02:14:08] Asperger...

[02:14:09] Or...

[02:14:10] Autism...

[02:14:11] Autism...

[02:14:12] But...

[02:14:13] He wouldn't...

[02:14:14] Say that himself...

[02:14:15] He wasn't...

[02:14:15] He had never been diagnosed...

[02:14:17] With anything...

[02:14:18] Nor would he want to...

[02:14:19] He was...

[02:14:20] Totally fine...

[02:14:21] With being...

[02:14:22] Whatever he was...

[02:14:23] And he didn't feel the need...

[02:14:25] To put a label on it...

[02:14:29] He...

[02:14:30] Was really good...

[02:14:31] At making furniture...

[02:14:33] And that's why...

[02:14:34] His company...

[02:14:35] Was...

[02:14:36] Kind of successful...

[02:14:42] He had a...

[02:14:44] Talent for...

[02:14:46] Being...

[02:14:46] With himself...

[02:14:48] Very few people...

[02:14:50] Have...

[02:14:51] He could sit...

[02:14:52] At the center...

[02:14:53] Of himself...

[02:14:54] And just watch...

[02:14:55] Emotions...

[02:14:56] Come and go...

[02:14:57] And leave them be...

[02:14:59] You know...

[02:14:59] He could...

[02:15:02] Sense a smell...

[02:15:04] In the air...

[02:15:05] And he could just...

[02:15:06] Register it...

[02:15:07] He didn't have to...

[02:15:08] Go along with it...

[02:15:09] Or follow the smell...

[02:15:10] Or whatever...

[02:15:12] And whenever there were...

[02:15:13] Customers in the store...

[02:15:15] Who were...

[02:15:15] Bringing a sort of...

[02:15:17] A particular sort of...

[02:15:18] Energies...

[02:15:19] For instance...

[02:15:19] Like...

[02:15:20] A couple that...

[02:15:22] Had been arguing...

[02:15:24] Or...

[02:15:26] A parent...

[02:15:27] With their...

[02:15:27] Child...

[02:15:28] Or...

[02:15:30] Someone in a rush...

[02:15:31] Or someone who was...

[02:15:33] Angry or afraid...

[02:15:34] He could sense that very well...

[02:15:35] But he was very good at...

[02:15:38] Leaving himself out of it...

[02:15:43] Okay...

[02:15:44] So maybe I'm breaking...

[02:15:45] His own character now...

[02:15:46] Because I just said that he...

[02:15:48] Had trouble reading...

[02:15:49] Between the lines...

[02:15:50] And now I'm saying...

[02:15:51] Saying that he's kind of...

[02:15:52] Highly sensitive to people's...

[02:15:55] Energies...

[02:15:56] Okay...

[02:15:57] But I guess it's...

[02:15:58] Possible to be both...

[02:16:00] And in a way...

[02:16:02] His gift was to...

[02:16:03] Leave himself out of the equation...

[02:16:06] The social equation...

[02:16:08] He was very...

[02:16:10] Service-minded...

[02:16:11] And he helped...

[02:16:12] He tried to help...

[02:16:13] Each customer...

[02:16:13] The best he could...

[02:16:15] But...

[02:16:16] He never got involved...

[02:16:18] In...

[02:16:19] Whatever they were going through...

[02:16:21] He...

[02:16:22] Knew very clear...

[02:16:23] Where his limit was...

[02:16:25] And where their...

[02:16:26] Needs...

[02:16:27] Became something else...

[02:16:29] So he never crossed the line...

[02:16:31] He was just...

[02:16:32] Always very service-minded...

[02:16:34] But...

[02:16:35] Nothing more...

[02:16:35] No one ever...

[02:16:38] Remembered him...

[02:16:40] Really...

[02:16:40] A few days after...

[02:16:41] Visiting his store...

[02:16:43] Or his workshop...

[02:16:47] So people came...

[02:16:49] To...

[02:16:50] To...

[02:16:51] Billy...

[02:16:52] At Backlons Furniture...

[02:16:54] To order...

[02:16:56] Furniture...

[02:16:59] Carpented...

[02:17:00] Exactly...

[02:17:02] For...

[02:17:03] Whatever environment...

[02:17:05] They wanted...

[02:17:05] They wanted the furniture to be in...

[02:17:08] So for instance...

[02:17:09] There could be...

[02:17:10] A woman who wanted a sofa that was...

[02:17:13] 2.5...

[02:17:17] Inches...

[02:17:17] I don't know...

[02:17:19] I don't know the inches scale...

[02:17:22] Uh...

[02:17:23] From like...

[02:17:24] The wall or something...

[02:17:26] And...

[02:17:26] It was going to be able to fit...

[02:17:29] In under a very low...

[02:17:30] Hanging shelf...

[02:17:31] With a porcelain dog on...

[02:17:34] And this porcelain dog was...

[02:17:36] This woman's...

[02:17:37] Top favorite...

[02:17:39] Possession...

[02:17:40] And...

[02:17:41] That needed to be...

[02:17:42] Considered when making the sofa...

[02:17:47] Stuff like that...

[02:17:52] So one day he was in his workshop...

[02:17:54] Like all the other days...

[02:17:55] The weekends were no exception...

[02:17:57] He was really...

[02:17:58] A very dedicated man...

[02:18:00] And he also find...

[02:18:01] He found...

[02:18:05] Relief...

[02:18:06] When...

[02:18:08] Working on some new furniture...

[02:18:11] A chair...

[02:18:12] Or a sofa...

[02:18:13] Or a shelf...

[02:18:14] Or...

[02:18:15] A rocking chair...

[02:18:17] Or a...

[02:18:20] Table...

[02:18:23] Or a garden...

[02:18:24] Garden gnome...

[02:18:25] Made out of wood...

[02:18:29] So one day he was at his workshop...

[02:18:31] It was the weekend...

[02:18:32] It was Saturday...

[02:18:33] The 5th...

[02:18:34] Of August...

[02:18:36] And...

[02:18:37] He was...

[02:18:39] Just finishing up some...

[02:18:41] Sandpapering...

[02:18:42] On a garden gnome...

[02:18:43] That he was preparing for a customer...

[02:18:45] When he heard a knock on the door...

[02:18:48] And...

[02:18:49] Of course it was closed that day...

[02:18:51] Because it was Saturday...

[02:18:52] So at first he didn't respond...

[02:18:54] It was...

[02:18:56] Sometimes very common...

[02:18:58] For customers to just walk by...

[02:18:59] And see if it was in...

[02:19:02] And...

[02:19:03] He was very against...

[02:19:05] Opening up to people...

[02:19:07] Outside of the...

[02:19:09] Ordinary hours...

[02:19:12] So he...

[02:19:13] Waited a while...

[02:19:14] But the knocking...

[02:19:15] Persisted and...

[02:19:16] Eventually he...

[02:19:18] Left his work...

[02:19:19] And he went out...

[02:19:20] To the hallway and...

[02:19:21] Looked through the glass window...

[02:19:23] In the door...

[02:19:24] And outside there was this little girl...

[02:19:26] Who...

[02:19:27] Couldn't have been more than...

[02:19:28] Maybe 8 or 9 years old...

[02:19:31] And...

[02:19:33] He waved at her...

[02:19:34] It's...

[02:19:34] And pointed at his watch...

[02:19:36] It's...

[02:19:36] It's closed...

[02:19:37] But she just...

[02:19:38] Mimed like...

[02:19:40] Let me in please...

[02:19:41] And kept knocking...

[02:19:45] So eventually he opened the door...

[02:19:46] And the girl...

[02:19:47] Got in...

[02:19:48] And she said that...

[02:19:49] I'm really...

[02:19:51] Really...

[02:19:53] I need your help...

[02:19:56] And...

[02:19:56] He said...

[02:19:58] What do you mean...

[02:19:58] What do you mean...

[02:19:59] You need my help?

[02:20:01] And he started to...

[02:20:02] Get this sense in his...

[02:20:05] Stomach or chest...

[02:20:06] That...

[02:20:06] He was getting involved in something...

[02:20:08] That he didn't really wanted...

[02:20:10] To get involved in...

[02:20:11] Maybe this girl was...

[02:20:12] Like really in trouble...

[02:20:13] And...

[02:20:14] He didn't want...

[02:20:14] To be responsible...

[02:20:16] But...

[02:20:16] At the same time...

[02:20:18] Here she was...

[02:20:19] And...

[02:20:20] There was nothing...

[02:20:20] He could really do about that...

[02:20:22] Right now...

[02:20:22] So he listened...

[02:20:24] As she started to tell him...

[02:20:26] The main story...

[02:20:28] Of this episode...

[02:20:31] So...

[02:20:32] Her parents...

[02:20:33] Was...

[02:20:34] A chair...

[02:20:35] And a table...

[02:20:37] So she was the descendant...

[02:20:39] Of two...

[02:20:41] Pieces of wood...

[02:20:42] Really...

[02:20:43] Like...

[02:20:45] From a...

[02:20:47] Competing...

[02:20:48] Furniture firm...

[02:20:53] Boot...

[02:20:53] Boot...

[02:20:54] Boot...

[02:20:54] Boot...

[02:20:55] Boot...

[02:20:55] Delicious...

[02:20:56] Down the street...

[02:20:58] And a chair...

[02:20:59] And a table...

[02:21:00] Had...

[02:21:00] Really...

[02:21:01] Came to...

[02:21:02] Come together...

[02:21:03] And loved each other...

[02:21:04] Very much...

[02:21:04] And then...

[02:21:05] This little girl...

[02:21:06] Called Sarah...

[02:21:06] So this is a freak of nature...

[02:21:10] Of course...

[02:21:11] As you know...

[02:21:12] Sleepy...

[02:21:13] Tables...

[02:21:14] Or other household objects...

[02:21:15] Don't...

[02:21:16] Generally...

[02:21:18] Become...

[02:21:19] Pregnant...

[02:21:19] Or...

[02:21:20] Very seldom...

[02:21:22] Conceive children...

[02:21:23] At least not...

[02:21:24] Human...

[02:21:25] Children...

[02:21:26] But in this case...

[02:21:27] This had happened...

[02:21:30] So there's very little in nature...

[02:21:31] That absolutely...

[02:21:33] Cannot happen...

[02:21:34] It's just a matter of...

[02:21:37] Percentage...

[02:21:38] You know...

[02:21:39] Of course...

[02:21:42] If you drop an egg...

[02:21:44] On the floor...

[02:21:45] The egg will...

[02:21:48] Fall out into...

[02:21:49] A...

[02:21:50] Thousand pieces...

[02:21:52] But...

[02:21:53] There's nothing in nature...

[02:21:55] That really says...

[02:21:56] That the egg...

[02:21:57] Can't do the opposite...

[02:21:58] Go from broken...

[02:22:00] To whole...

[02:22:01] It's just that...

[02:22:02] The number of ways...

[02:22:04] That the egg can break...

[02:22:05] Are so many more...

[02:22:07] Astronomically...

[02:22:08] Bigger...

[02:22:09] Possibilities...

[02:22:10] Of the egg breaking...

[02:22:12] Than of the egg...

[02:22:14] Getting whole...

[02:22:15] So that's the whole difference...

[02:22:16] Why...

[02:22:17] That's the whole reason...

[02:22:18] Why nature...

[02:22:20] Seems the way it is to us...

[02:22:21] Because of...

[02:22:23] Possibilities...

[02:22:24] So there are a very limited way...

[02:22:26] Of possibilities...

[02:22:28] That an egg can go from broken to whole...

[02:22:31] But there are...

[02:22:33] Like...

[02:22:33] Millions and millions...

[02:22:35] Of ways...

[02:22:36] That an egg can break...

[02:22:44] So...

[02:22:45] She was...

[02:22:48] An outcast...

[02:22:49] From this...

[02:22:51] Bootily...

[02:22:51] Bootilicious...

[02:22:52] Furniture down the street...

[02:22:53] Because...

[02:22:54] The owner...

[02:22:55] Kurt...

[02:22:56] He had discovered...

[02:22:58] That his table...

[02:22:59] And his chair...

[02:23:00] His prized...

[02:23:01] Table and prized chair...

[02:23:02] Was having a baby...

[02:23:04] A human baby...

[02:23:05] And...

[02:23:06] That...

[02:23:07] He couldn't have that...

[02:23:08] So of course...

[02:23:08] He threw Sarah out on the street...

[02:23:10] As soon as she learned how to...

[02:23:13] Walk...

[02:23:14] Which she did...

[02:23:15] By the age of seven...

[02:23:18] It's very...

[02:23:19] It's very hard...

[02:23:21] For...

[02:23:22] A human child...

[02:23:23] To learn how to walk...

[02:23:24] When your parents are...

[02:23:27] Inanimate objects...

[02:23:29] You know...

[02:23:29] A table doesn't walk around and say...

[02:23:32] Come here you...

[02:23:33] Walk to papa...

[02:23:35] You know...

[02:23:35] You can't...

[02:23:37] They don't talk...

[02:23:38] At all...

[02:23:38] You know...

[02:23:39] So she just grew up there in the...

[02:23:40] In the corner...

[02:23:42] Around...

[02:23:42] Like where...

[02:23:43] All the old furniture...

[02:23:46] Were being kept...

[02:23:49] And...

[02:23:50] At the time where Kurt...

[02:23:52] Discovered Sarah...

[02:23:53] She was seven...

[02:23:54] And had just learned to walk...

[02:23:56] By her own...

[02:23:57] And then he said...

[02:23:59] You really need to go...

[02:24:00] You can't be here...

[02:24:01] I don't sell...

[02:24:02] Persons...

[02:24:03] I sell...

[02:24:04] Objects...

[02:24:05] In the shape of...

[02:24:06] Household furniture...

[02:24:08] And...

[02:24:10] Sarah...

[02:24:11] Couldn't agree...

[02:24:11] More...

[02:24:12] She was the only human there...

[02:24:14] Except for Kurt...

[02:24:16] So...

[02:24:18] It wasn't too hard...

[02:24:19] For Kurt to get rid of her...

[02:24:23] And then...

[02:24:24] She was on her own...

[02:24:30] And...

[02:24:31] By this time in the story...

[02:24:33] She really...

[02:24:36] She was really emotional...

[02:24:38] She cried some...

[02:24:40] She sobbed...

[02:24:41] You know...

[02:24:41] As Billy...

[02:24:42] Stood there and just listened...

[02:24:46] And...

[02:24:46] Her story gripped her...

[02:24:48] He himself had...

[02:24:50] As a child...

[02:24:51] Been thrown out of...

[02:24:53] A few different homes actually...

[02:24:55] Because he was...

[02:24:56] Brought up in...

[02:24:59] An orphanage...

[02:25:01] And then got adopted...

[02:25:02] And adopted again...

[02:25:04] And adopted again...

[02:25:05] And eventually he was too old...

[02:25:06] To be adopted...

[02:25:07] And then he started...

[02:25:08] To learn how to live by his own...

[02:25:13] So...

[02:25:14] He felt sort of a kinship...

[02:25:16] With Sarah...

[02:25:19] And...

[02:25:20] He invited her in...

[02:25:21] And he said...

[02:25:22] You can stay here...

[02:25:23] If you work with me...

[02:25:25] Building furniture...

[02:25:29] And...

[02:25:30] This was of course...

[02:25:31] For a seven year old...

[02:25:32] Like Sarah...

[02:25:33] This was a challenge...

[02:25:35] Because...

[02:25:35] She only knew...

[02:25:37] Furniture...

[02:25:38] In the shape of parents...

[02:25:40] And the parents...

[02:25:41] Friends...

[02:25:41] So she didn't know...

[02:25:43] Really...

[02:25:44] How to build one...

[02:25:45] From scratch...

[02:25:49] But Billy showed her...

[02:25:50] And...

[02:25:50] She was an...

[02:25:52] Incredible fast learner...

[02:25:54] She learned...

[02:25:55] How to build sofas...

[02:25:57] Within like...

[02:25:58] Four or five hours...

[02:25:59] That Saturday...

[02:26:01] And...

[02:26:01] When Billy went home that day...

[02:26:04] He lived in a house...

[02:26:05] Just down the street...

[02:26:08] Made......

[02:26:09] Actually

[02:26:10] very close to... Booty

[02:26:12] Bootylicious furniture... And...

[02:26:16] He could

[02:26:16] hear her... Hammering

[02:26:19] away... All night...

[02:26:20] And when he got back to work...

[02:26:22] On Sunday...

[02:26:23] The next day...

[02:26:24] Sarah had...

[02:26:25] Built like...

[02:26:26] 25 new sofas...

[02:26:28] And they were...

[02:26:29] Exquisite...

[02:26:29] They were...

[02:26:30] Awesome...

[02:26:36] Have you ever...

[02:26:37] Walked into a store...

[02:26:39] And just...

[02:26:41] Stood...

[02:26:42] Stood...

[02:26:43] And just been standing there...

[02:26:44] With a...

[02:26:45] Grin...

[02:26:46] With a...

[02:26:47] With a...

[02:26:48] With a...

[02:26:48] With an open mouth...

[02:26:49] Like...

[02:26:50] This sofa...

[02:26:51] Is like...

[02:26:52] Larger than life...

[02:26:53] That was the feeling that...

[02:26:56] Billy got...

[02:26:57] When he saw what Sarah has been building during the night...

[02:27:02] It was...

[02:27:03] Large sofas...

[02:27:05] And small sofas...

[02:27:06] And...

[02:27:07] Bulky sofas...

[02:27:09] And tiny...

[02:27:10] Very elegant...

[02:27:11] Sofas...

[02:27:12] And they were...

[02:27:13] Green and yellow and purple...

[02:27:15] And they were out of velvet...

[02:27:16] And...

[02:27:17] Satin...

[02:27:18] And...

[02:27:18] Manchester...

[02:27:19] And...

[02:27:20] All other types of...

[02:27:21] Fabric that you can imagine...

[02:27:24] They were colored...

[02:27:25] And shaped in all...

[02:27:26] Thinkable ways...

[02:27:29] And...

[02:27:30] Billy was...

[02:27:32] In awe...

[02:27:35] He thought he was the best furniture carpenter in the city...

[02:27:39] He never even...

[02:27:40] He never really had an issue with...

[02:27:43] Boogly-boogly-licious furniture and Kurt...

[02:27:45] Because he...

[02:27:46] Saw himself as...

[02:27:47] Somewhat of an artist...

[02:27:49] And Kurt was more of a...

[02:27:51] You know...

[02:27:52] An ordinary...

[02:27:53] Trade...

[02:27:54] Trade...

[02:27:55] Trader...

[02:27:56] He just...

[02:27:59] Made...

[02:28:00] What he knew was gonna sell...

[02:28:02] And...

[02:28:03] With as little job...

[02:28:05] And effort as possible...

[02:28:06] And he got around...

[02:28:08] I mean...

[02:28:08] His business was...

[02:28:10] Okay...

[02:28:11] But it didn't flourish...

[02:28:12] Like Billy's...

[02:28:17] And now...

[02:28:18] He had to...

[02:28:19] Pinch himself...

[02:28:20] Because he thought...

[02:28:21] Initially...

[02:28:22] That he was dreaming...

[02:28:25] I don't know about you, Sleepy...

[02:28:27] But have you ever...

[02:28:28] Thought that you really mastered something...

[02:28:31] And then...

[02:28:32] All of a sudden...

[02:28:34] Stood before...

[02:28:36] Someone doing...

[02:28:37] The very thing that you thought...

[02:28:39] That you were the master of...

[02:28:41] And doing it so much better...

[02:28:43] And so much faster...

[02:28:44] And also...

[02:28:45] Giving it like...

[02:28:46] New dimensions...

[02:28:47] And stuff...

[02:28:51] That's...

[02:28:52] Remarkable...

[02:28:54] That's a remarkable experience...

[02:28:55] And...

[02:28:55] If you're not careful...

[02:28:57] That sort of an experience...

[02:28:59] Experience can make you bitter...

[02:29:01] Like...

[02:29:02] Sad and bitter...

[02:29:03] And...

[02:29:04] Resentful...

[02:29:11] Lucky for Sarah...

[02:29:13] Billy wasn't that kind of a person...

[02:29:15] He...

[02:29:16] He was really...

[02:29:18] Genuinely...

[02:29:19] Truly impressed...

[02:29:20] By Sarah...

[02:29:21] And he told her so...

[02:29:23] And...

[02:29:24] That was...

[02:29:25] Like...

[02:29:25] The first really good thing...

[02:29:27] Except for maybe...

[02:29:28] Taking her off the street...

[02:29:29] In the beginning...

[02:29:30] But...

[02:29:31] That was the really good deed...

[02:29:33] That he made...

[02:29:33] That day...

[02:29:34] Because Sarah...

[02:29:35] Then realized...

[02:29:36] That she had a talent...

[02:29:39] And to tell a young person...

[02:29:41] That she has talent...

[02:29:42] Is one of the greatest gifts...

[02:29:44] That you can ever give someone...

[02:29:47] If you haven't done it...

[02:29:48] Please...

[02:29:48] Go out and do it...

[02:29:50] Go out and do...

[02:29:51] Just that...

[02:29:52] Tell a young person...

[02:29:53] That they have talent...

[02:29:56] Within a certain aspect...

[02:29:58] Feel...

[02:29:59] Area...

[02:30:00] Whatever...

[02:30:02] I just can't...

[02:30:04] Emphasize enough...

[02:30:05] How important it is...

[02:30:06] As a young person...

[02:30:08] To...

[02:30:09] Receive...

[02:30:10] Such information...

[02:30:11] At some point...

[02:30:13] In your development...

[02:30:16] When I was in actor school...

[02:30:18] I thought that I was really bad at acting...

[02:30:22] All my classmates...

[02:30:24] Said so...

[02:30:25] We were all in the style...

[02:30:27] And shape...

[02:30:28] And...

[02:30:29] Period of our life...

[02:30:31] When...

[02:30:31] Just this...

[02:30:32] Very...

[02:30:33] Special...

[02:30:34] Very narrow...

[02:30:35] Form of theater...

[02:30:36] Was popular...

[02:30:37] And...

[02:30:38] All other shapes...

[02:30:39] And forms of acting...

[02:30:41] Was frowned upon...

[02:30:42] And I was...

[02:30:43] This very personal actor...

[02:30:45] I've always been...

[02:30:46] Someone who uses...

[02:30:48] A lot about...

[02:30:49] And from myself...

[02:30:50] When acting...

[02:30:53] And at that time...

[02:30:55] There were supposed to be like...

[02:30:57] Different layers...

[02:30:59] Between you...

[02:31:00] As a person...

[02:31:00] And the audience...

[02:31:01] So you were going to be...

[02:31:06] Unrecognizable...

[02:31:06] When...

[02:31:07] Someone in the audience...

[02:31:08] Saw you on the street...

[02:31:10] Because you were going to be this...

[02:31:12] Totally different...

[02:31:13] Person...

[02:31:14] And...

[02:31:15] The most important thing...

[02:31:17] About acting...

[02:31:18] Was to be able to...

[02:31:23] Show off...

[02:31:24] You know...

[02:31:25] Your...

[02:31:25] Acting...

[02:31:26] Equilibrium...

[02:31:30] So...

[02:31:30] I was a bad actor...

[02:31:32] By those standards...

[02:31:36] And...

[02:31:37] At one point...

[02:31:39] We had this...

[02:31:41] Clown...

[02:31:42] Guru...

[02:31:43] Who was called Mario...

[02:31:46] And Mario...

[02:31:47] He...

[02:31:48] This was my first week...

[02:31:49] In actor school...

[02:31:50] And I felt...

[02:31:51] Really bad...

[02:31:52] Really awful...

[02:31:53] I cried myself to sleep...

[02:31:55] Like almost...

[02:31:55] Every night...

[02:31:56] Because I felt...

[02:31:57] That I made a mistake...

[02:31:58] I was very young...

[02:31:59] I was only 19 years old...

[02:32:01] And...

[02:32:01] All the others...

[02:32:02] In my class were...

[02:32:04] Both more experienced...

[02:32:06] And...

[02:32:07] Also older...

[02:32:08] They had all been living...

[02:32:11] Outside of their home...

[02:32:13] For a while...

[02:32:13] And...

[02:32:14] Had have time to define...

[02:32:15] Who they were...

[02:32:16] Or something...

[02:32:18] And I just moved...

[02:32:19] Away from home...

[02:32:20] I...

[02:32:21] This was my first...

[02:32:22] Own place...

[02:32:23] And my first steps...

[02:32:24] Outside of my parents...

[02:32:26] Care...

[02:32:28] And...

[02:32:28] So I was really sad...

[02:32:32] And we had this clown guy...

[02:32:34] Called Mario...

[02:32:35] And I was...

[02:32:36] We had...

[02:32:37] We did like...

[02:32:39] Improvised...

[02:32:40] Improvised clowns...

[02:32:41] This is a...

[02:32:42] This is an acting exercise...

[02:32:44] In Comedia dell'Art...

[02:32:45] Which is like this...

[02:32:46] Improv...

[02:32:49] Style...

[02:32:51] And...

[02:32:52] So we practiced this...

[02:32:54] For the whole week...

[02:32:54] And Mario was a guest teacher...

[02:32:56] There from...

[02:32:57] Wherever he was from...

[02:32:58] I don't remember...

[02:32:59] I think he was from France...

[02:33:01] But I don't...

[02:33:01] I don't remember...

[02:33:03] And...

[02:33:05] I was...

[02:33:08] As I'm...

[02:33:09] Used to...

[02:33:10] I prepared...

[02:33:11] Like a lot...

[02:33:11] Before I was going to do my clown...

[02:33:13] So the exercise was that...

[02:33:16] I'm going out there...

[02:33:17] And...

[02:33:18] The audience is going to ask me questions...

[02:33:20] And I'm going to interact with them...

[02:33:22] And...

[02:33:23] By the nature of this exercise...

[02:33:28] Funny stuff is about to...

[02:33:30] It's going to happen automatically...

[02:33:32] Because you're...

[02:33:33] You know...

[02:33:34] You're right in the hands of the audience...

[02:33:36] But I didn't get that...

[02:33:38] So I prepared...

[02:33:39] Like a lot of things...

[02:33:41] I decided what name...

[02:33:43] My clown was going to have...

[02:33:45] And...

[02:33:46] You...

[02:33:46] In this exercise...

[02:33:47] You put on a clown nose...

[02:33:48] And you just...

[02:33:49] Enter the stage...

[02:33:51] That's all...

[02:33:51] You don't...

[02:33:52] You don't get to prepare anything...

[02:33:54] You...

[02:33:54] You shall not do that...

[02:33:56] You shall not do that...

[02:33:58] You shall not pass...

[02:34:01] And...

[02:34:03] I did that...

[02:34:04] I...

[02:34:04] I prepared...

[02:34:05] I put...

[02:34:06] I tilted my glasses...

[02:34:07] That I would look...

[02:34:08] That I just went in...

[02:34:09] To a pole...

[02:34:10] Or a tree...

[02:34:11] Or anything...

[02:34:11] Or something...

[02:34:13] And...

[02:34:13] Then I went out...

[02:34:14] And I decided that my clown name...

[02:34:16] Was going to be Michael...

[02:34:19] And...

[02:34:19] Of course it was a disaster...

[02:34:21] No one laughed...

[02:34:22] And...

[02:34:23] And Mario wasn't...

[02:34:26] Pleased...

[02:34:26] And...

[02:34:27] It was the end of the class...

[02:34:28] And then there was...

[02:34:29] This other people...

[02:34:30] In my class...

[02:34:31] And other classes...

[02:34:32] That made their clowns...

[02:34:33] And people...

[02:34:34] Just laughed their asses off...

[02:34:35] Because it was...

[02:34:36] So funny...

[02:34:38] Actually I can still remember...

[02:34:39] One of the opera singers...

[02:34:41] In my parallel class...

[02:34:42] That...

[02:34:43] He made this...

[02:34:44] Awesome...

[02:34:45] Clown...

[02:34:45] Called...

[02:34:46] Adolf...

[02:34:47] It was like...

[02:34:48] Like this...

[02:34:49] Terrible...

[02:34:51] And...

[02:34:52] Really...

[02:34:53] Really funny...

[02:34:54] Absurd clown...

[02:34:56] Because he...

[02:34:56] He just...

[02:34:57] He couldn't act...

[02:34:59] I mean...

[02:34:59] He...

[02:35:00] Being an opera singer...

[02:35:02] He was very...

[02:35:03] Uncomfortable...

[02:35:03] Just doing these types of...

[02:35:05] Improv...

[02:35:06] Things...

[02:35:07] But he was...

[02:35:08] Brilliant...

[02:35:09] And...

[02:35:09] Everybody laughed...

[02:35:10] And Mario was very pleased...

[02:35:12] And I of course...

[02:35:14] Felt like...

[02:35:15] I was...

[02:35:16] The scum of the earth...

[02:35:19] And at...

[02:35:20] That night...

[02:35:21] We were going to...

[02:35:22] An opera performance...

[02:35:24] In Gothenburg...

[02:35:25] Where I studied...

[02:35:26] And Mario was going to go with us...

[02:35:29] And we watched the episode...

[02:35:30] I think it was something by...

[02:35:33] Wagner...

[02:35:34] I don't remember...

[02:35:36] I remember it was really bad...

[02:35:38] It's very hard to make a Wagner opera...

[02:35:41] Good...

[02:35:42] It's very bombastic...

[02:35:44] And...

[02:35:44] Not very...

[02:35:45] Fine-tuned...

[02:35:47] You know...

[02:35:50] So...

[02:35:52] In the...

[02:35:54] Intermission...

[02:35:55] Mario came up to me...

[02:35:57] And he said...

[02:35:57] So tomorrow...

[02:35:58] We will see your clown...

[02:35:59] Michael again...

[02:36:00] Yes...

[02:36:00] And I said...

[02:36:03] Oh...

[02:36:03] I...

[02:36:03] I don't know...

[02:36:04] I am...

[02:36:05] Like...

[02:36:06] So...

[02:36:07] Bad...

[02:36:08] I'm so awful...

[02:36:10] I am...

[02:36:13] I am not really...

[02:36:15] Good at this...

[02:36:16] I feel ashamed...

[02:36:17] Or something like that...

[02:36:18] I don't remember exactly...

[02:36:20] This was so many years ago...

[02:36:22] And he said...

[02:36:24] No...

[02:36:25] No...

[02:36:25] No...

[02:36:27] I think that you are really an actor...

[02:36:30] I remember the exact words...

[02:36:33] Until this day...

[02:36:35] I think that you are really an actor...

[02:36:37] And if you are humble...

[02:36:39] You can be really big...

[02:36:43] You know...

[02:36:44] I was 19...

[02:36:45] I am 48 now...

[02:36:47] And I still remember these words...

[02:36:49] Exactly as he said them...

[02:36:53] Now...

[02:36:54] Mario was a very problematic person...

[02:36:57] And...

[02:36:58] Other people had...

[02:37:00] Told me...

[02:37:02] Other stuff about him...

[02:37:03] That's not as...

[02:37:05] Flattering...

[02:37:06] But to me...

[02:37:07] At this time...

[02:37:09] In my life...

[02:37:10] And in my development...

[02:37:12] This was...

[02:37:13] Essential...

[02:37:15] His words...

[02:37:16] Right there...

[02:37:17] Right...

[02:37:18] Then...

[02:37:20] Then...

[02:37:21] Was...

[02:37:21] Essential to me...

[02:37:23] Because if he hadn't said them...

[02:37:26] I believe maybe I would have...

[02:37:29] Quit actor school...

[02:37:31] And went home...

[02:37:32] To mom and dad...

[02:37:34] And that of course...

[02:37:36] Would have...

[02:37:37] Made...

[02:37:38] Everything that is my life now...

[02:37:41] Not reality...

[02:37:46] Everything that is...

[02:37:48] All the aspects of...

[02:37:51] What is now my life...

[02:37:53] Life...

[02:37:54] This podcast even...

[02:37:56] This...

[02:37:57] Me sitting here...

[02:37:59] Lying...

[02:37:59] In my...

[02:38:00] Chair...

[02:38:01] Talking to you...

[02:38:03] Would have been...

[02:38:05] Unreality...

[02:38:06] It would have been...

[02:38:07] Unreal...

[02:38:08] It wouldn't even have been...

[02:38:09] An idea...

[02:38:10] A dream...

[02:38:11] I don't know...

[02:38:12] What have become...

[02:38:13] What have become of me...

[02:38:14] If I didn't...

[02:38:15] Finished actor school...

[02:38:17] I thought that...

[02:38:21] Trying to be an actor...

[02:38:22] Training to be an actor...

[02:38:24] Was...

[02:38:24] Very hard on me...

[02:38:27] I am too...

[02:38:28] Messy...

[02:38:30] I am too...

[02:38:34] What do you call it...

[02:38:36] Uneven...

[02:38:38] Unbalanced...

[02:38:39] Whatever...

[02:38:40] I'm too weird...

[02:38:43] So...

[02:38:45] I ended up in children's television...

[02:38:49] And...

[02:38:49] It suited me fine...

[02:38:51] I'm...

[02:38:52] I love...

[02:38:53] Culture for children...

[02:38:58] But...

[02:38:59] For audiences...

[02:39:01] Older...

[02:39:02] Than...

[02:39:04] Children...

[02:39:04] I am too weird...

[02:39:06] I think...

[02:39:08] And...

[02:39:09] That's...

[02:39:10] That's been my...

[02:39:11] Achilles heel...

[02:39:12] All my career...

[02:39:13] Until now...

[02:39:14] When I...

[02:39:15] When I...

[02:39:15] Have created this...

[02:39:17] So in a way...

[02:39:17] There is a direct...

[02:39:18] Direct line...

[02:39:19] From what Mario said...

[02:39:20] In 1995...

[02:39:23] To...

[02:39:25] Today...

[02:39:25] When I...

[02:39:27] Sit here...

[02:39:27] In my own studio...

[02:39:29] Which I...

[02:39:30] I...

[02:39:31] Decided to name...

[02:39:33] Adventure Wolf...

[02:39:36] Talking to you...

[02:39:38] Making you...

[02:39:39] Relax...

[02:39:41] Fall...

[02:39:41] Fall asleep...

[02:39:48] So Billy...

[02:39:50] Really did Sarah...

[02:39:51] A favor there...

[02:39:52] Maybe without knowing it...

[02:39:53] But from that day...

[02:39:55] She started to grow...

[02:39:57] She started to grow...

[02:39:58] Not just...

[02:39:59] Lengthwise...

[02:40:00] But also...

[02:40:01] Within...

[02:40:04] Do you remember...

[02:40:05] What it was like...

[02:40:06] Sleepy...

[02:40:06] When you were a kid...

[02:40:07] And...

[02:40:08] You...

[02:40:09] Suddenly realize...

[02:40:10] That you're very...

[02:40:11] Rapidly getting better...

[02:40:13] At something...

[02:40:14] I remember that...

[02:40:16] With my own reading...

[02:40:18] I had such a hard time...

[02:40:21] Memorizing the alphabet...

[02:40:22] I remember...

[02:40:24] Having...

[02:40:25] Trouble...

[02:40:25] In first grade...

[02:40:27] Reading...

[02:40:28] I could read a few words...

[02:40:30] Before I started school...

[02:40:31] And I thought...

[02:40:32] This is it...

[02:40:32] Reading is easy for me...

[02:40:34] But then...

[02:40:35] When there was this teacher...

[02:40:36] This other person...

[02:40:37] Than my mom and dad...

[02:40:39] Trying to teach me...

[02:40:40] With this certain set of rules...

[02:40:44] Then...

[02:40:47] I hit...

[02:40:48] Problem after problem...

[02:40:49] After problem...

[02:40:50] It's almost like...

[02:40:52] I imagined learning to drive a car...

[02:40:55] That...

[02:40:56] Initially...

[02:40:57] Maybe you think that you...

[02:40:58] Really get the hang of it...

[02:41:00] But then...

[02:41:01] Like...

[02:41:01] Later you feel like...

[02:41:02] This is too hard...

[02:41:03] I don't...

[02:41:04] I can't do it...

[02:41:05] It's impossible...

[02:41:06] And then all of a sudden...

[02:41:08] It's...

[02:41:08] It works again...

[02:41:12] This happens of course...

[02:41:13] For adults as well...

[02:41:15] But I remember it specifically...

[02:41:17] From being a child...

[02:41:19] That...

[02:41:21] I'm...

[02:41:22] I'm looking at something...

[02:41:25] These symbols on a page...

[02:41:28] And some...

[02:41:29] And suddenly...

[02:41:30] I just realized...

[02:41:32] What they are supposed to mean...

[02:41:34] I don't remember...

[02:41:36] Studying...

[02:41:38] And studying...

[02:41:39] And studying...

[02:41:39] I just remember that...

[02:41:41] I didn't understand any of it...

[02:41:43] It was just gibberish to me...

[02:41:45] And then...

[02:41:45] I remember...

[02:41:47] Quite a bit of anxiety around that...

[02:41:50] And then all of a sudden...

[02:41:52] There they were...

[02:41:54] The words...

[02:41:55] And they have been there...

[02:41:57] With me since then...

[02:41:59] Since 1982...

[02:42:02] Which was the year when I learned to read...

[02:42:06] What year...

[02:42:07] Did you learn to read?

[02:42:11] What year did you learn how to talk?

[02:42:16] I mean...

[02:42:16] These are important words...

[02:42:17] Sometimes...

[02:42:19] Sometimes...

[02:42:19] I think that...

[02:42:20] We shouldn't really celebrate...

[02:42:21] Our birthdays...

[02:42:22] Because...

[02:42:23] The only thing that they tell us is...

[02:42:26] This...

[02:42:27] Many years ago today...

[02:42:28] I was brought into this world...

[02:42:31] From my mother's womb...

[02:42:32] But...

[02:42:33] I mean...

[02:42:34] There are so many more...

[02:42:36] Epic moments...

[02:42:37] Like...

[02:42:37] The...

[02:42:38] The day...

[02:42:39] When I took my first step...

[02:42:40] That's something to celebrate...

[02:42:42] The day when I learned how to read...

[02:42:46] So I don't have a date for that...

[02:42:48] But I have a year...

[02:42:51] 1982...

[02:42:51] That was the year...

[02:42:53] When Henrik Stoll learned how to read...

[02:42:55] And I've really benefited from that...

[02:42:57] Since then...

[02:42:58] Wouldn't you say you have as well?

[02:43:03] Today especially...

[02:43:05] When there's so much information around us...

[02:43:07] In all angles and directions...

[02:43:10] Coming from...

[02:43:11] Every direction...

[02:43:13] In high speeds...

[02:43:15] What if we couldn't read?

[02:43:18] Or what if we couldn't see...

[02:43:22] Nyan...

[02:43:23] Nyan...

[02:43:24] Nyan...

[02:43:24] Nyan...

[02:43:25] Nyan...

[02:43:26] Nuances...

[02:43:27] Nyan is...

[02:43:28] I guess...

[02:43:29] So...

[02:43:29] Nuances...

[02:43:31] In...

[02:43:32] In text...

[02:43:33] Text...

[02:43:36] And I mean...

[02:43:37] The...

[02:43:37] The year...

[02:43:38] I learned to talk...

[02:43:42] I guess...

[02:43:44] That must have been...

[02:43:45] In 1976...

[02:43:48] I've been able to talk...

[02:43:50] Since 1976...

[02:43:54] I've benefited as well...

[02:43:56] Very much from...

[02:43:57] Being able to talk...

[02:44:03] And talking about encouragement...

[02:44:05] I've always received so much...

[02:44:07] Encouragement from...

[02:44:08] Adults in my...

[02:44:09] Serenity...

[02:44:13] About my...

[02:44:14] Talking skills...

[02:44:15] And...

[02:44:16] Of course...

[02:44:17] I've benefited from that as well...

[02:44:23] Okay...

[02:44:24] So I...

[02:44:24] I digress...

[02:44:28] What about you Sleepy?

[02:44:29] Are you still with me?

[02:44:31] Or...

[02:44:32] Have you drifted off to sleep?

[02:44:33] It's okay either way...

[02:44:34] By the way...

[02:44:35] It's okay...

[02:44:37] Either way...

[02:44:37] By the way...

[02:44:38] I'm still...

[02:44:38] I'm still...

[02:44:39] Jenny from the block...

[02:44:40] I used to have a little...

[02:44:42] Now I have a lot...

[02:44:45] As the poet......

[02:44:47] Stated...

[02:44:48] Back in the

[02:44:48] day... Would you consider

[02:44:53] J-Lo... A poet?

[02:44:56] Is J-Lo...

[02:44:57] A poet? That's

[02:44:59] the question...

[02:45:01] If she suddenly started...

[02:45:03] To call herself... A

[02:45:04] poet...

[02:45:06] Would the...

[02:45:07] World agree?

[02:45:10] Or would they...

[02:45:11] Object?

[02:45:13] Maybe that's the most important question...

[02:45:16] Ever to be asked on a podcast...

[02:45:18] Meant for sleeping...

[02:45:19] If it is...

[02:45:21] Please let me know...

[02:45:23] And...

[02:45:23] Maybe...

[02:45:24] Even tell me the answer...

[02:45:26] To the question...

[02:45:26] Because I don't know...

[02:45:28] Of course it's poetry...

[02:45:30] When you write stuff...

[02:45:32] Especially stuff that rhymes...

[02:45:34] I mean...

[02:45:35] What...

[02:45:36] Difference is...

[02:45:37] Between a song lyric...

[02:45:39] And a poem...

[02:45:43] There really...

[02:45:43] There is no difference...

[02:45:44] The only difference is...

[02:45:46] That one is aimed for music...

[02:45:47] And one is aimed for...

[02:45:49] Just being as it is...

[02:45:56] So the second...

[02:45:57] The second...

[02:45:57] Type of furniture...

[02:45:58] That Sarah...

[02:46:00] Learned to do...

[02:46:02] Was cuckoo clocks...

[02:46:04] And if you know anything about cuckoo clocks...

[02:46:07] You know that...

[02:46:08] It's a very complex mechanism...

[02:46:10] And it's a very hard thing to do...

[02:46:12] Especially if you want them to look like...

[02:46:14] Those intricate...

[02:46:16] Old cuckoo clocks...

[02:46:17] That...

[02:46:18] Used to frequent homes...

[02:46:20] In like the 30s and 40s...

[02:46:24] So...

[02:46:25] She...

[02:46:26] Immediately mastered this profession...

[02:46:28] Way better...

[02:46:30] Than Billy...

[02:46:31] And Billy...

[02:46:32] Decided...

[02:46:33] Right there and then...

[02:46:35] That...

[02:46:36] Sarah was going to be his...

[02:46:37] Cuckoo clock maker...

[02:46:39] And he gave her a salary...

[02:46:41] Which consisted of...

[02:46:43] Since she was only 8...

[02:46:45] He paid for her schooling...

[02:46:47] Because that wasn't...

[02:46:48] Paid for by the...

[02:46:49] City...

[02:46:50] And...

[02:46:50] He also...

[02:46:52] Gave her a place to...

[02:46:53] To stay...

[02:46:55] At his place...

[02:46:56] He became her legal guardian...

[02:46:58] And of course...

[02:46:59] Her real parents didn't mind...

[02:47:01] Because they were a chair and a table...

[02:47:04] And...

[02:47:04] They can't talk...

[02:47:06] They don't have a brain...

[02:47:09] They don't have a sense of...

[02:47:11] Whether or not they are...

[02:47:12] They are parents...

[02:47:15] It's impossible for a chair...

[02:47:17] To realize...

[02:47:19] That it's a chair...

[02:47:20] And it's equally impossible...

[02:47:22] For a table...

[02:47:23] To realize...

[02:47:24] That it's also...

[02:47:25] A parent...

[02:47:28] It's impossible...

[02:47:30] It's impossible...

[02:47:31] That can't happen...

[02:47:32] Because...

[02:47:33] Tables...

[02:47:33] Don't have brains...

[02:47:36] And of course...

[02:47:37] Well maybe now I realize...

[02:47:39] When saying it out loud...

[02:47:40] Of course there could be...

[02:47:42] A potentiality that...

[02:47:44] A chair or a...

[02:47:45] Table is...

[02:47:46] Being brought into this world...

[02:47:48] Containing a brain...

[02:47:51] A conscious brain...

[02:47:53] A table brain...

[02:47:55] But it's very...

[02:47:57] Very...

[02:47:58] Rare...

[02:48:00] The number of ways...

[02:48:02] A table is...

[02:48:03] Built...

[02:48:04] Without the brain...

[02:48:05] Is...

[02:48:06] So much bigger...

[02:48:08] Than the number of ways...

[02:48:09] A table with a brain...

[02:48:11] Can be created...

[02:48:11] It takes some sort of an effort...

[02:48:17] To...

[02:48:18] Make a...

[02:48:19] Conscious brain...

[02:48:20] Work...

[02:48:21] Inside...

[02:48:22] A...

[02:48:23] Solid object...

[02:48:24] Like a table...

[02:48:25] So Billy didn't have any problem...

[02:48:28] With the...

[02:48:28] Adoption...

[02:48:29] Of Sarah...

[02:48:30] And...

[02:48:31] Then...

[02:48:31] She became his daughter...

[02:48:33] And...

[02:48:34] They started the business together...

[02:48:36] And...

[02:48:38] She built...

[02:48:39] The most exquisite...

[02:48:40] Cuckoo clocks...

[02:48:42] They were...

[02:48:44] Like...

[02:48:47] Golden...

[02:48:48] And...

[02:48:52] Bone white...

[02:48:54] And...

[02:48:55] Silver...

[02:48:56] And...

[02:48:57] All...

[02:48:58] Ebony black...

[02:49:00] And...

[02:49:01] They were made out of different materials...

[02:49:04] There were wood...

[02:49:05] And all...

[02:49:05] All kinds of metal...

[02:49:06] And also obsidian...

[02:49:08] She...

[02:49:09] Had this...

[02:49:10] Beautiful...

[02:49:11] Cuckoo clock...

[02:49:12] Which was made...

[02:49:13] Almost entirely out of...

[02:49:15] One...

[02:49:16] Big chunk of obsidian...

[02:49:18] There were a few extra objects...

[02:49:20] That were wooden...

[02:49:21] Like the...

[02:49:22] Hatches...

[02:49:23] Where the...

[02:49:23] Where the...

[02:49:24] The cuckoo...

[02:49:26] Bird...

[02:49:27] Came out...

[02:49:28] At certain times of the day...

[02:49:32] But all the other...

[02:49:34] The...

[02:49:34] All the other...

[02:49:35] Main parts...

[02:49:37] Of the...

[02:49:37] Of the cuckoo clock...

[02:49:39] Was...

[02:49:39] Just this...

[02:49:42] Piece...

[02:49:43] This chunk...

[02:49:45] This consistent chunk of...

[02:49:47] Obsidian...

[02:49:48] And...

[02:49:49] And it was very bulky...

[02:49:51] And...

[02:49:51] Looked sort of gothic...

[02:49:53] And it was...

[02:49:55] Beautiful...

[02:49:55] And...

[02:49:56] She wouldn't sell it...

[02:49:58] She wanted to keep it for...

[02:49:59] For herself...

[02:50:00] And she did...

[02:50:04] And...

[02:50:04] They lived happily ever after...

[02:50:08] And he came out of his shell...

[02:50:10] A bit...

[02:50:11] He...

[02:50:14] She lured him out...

[02:50:15] Into the world...

[02:50:16] And...

[02:50:18] It didn't hurt him...

[02:50:19] The world didn't hurt him...

[02:50:21] He was happy...

[02:50:22] With it...

[02:50:24] And he was...

[02:50:27] He realized that...

[02:50:29] He does...

[02:50:30] You do need people...

[02:50:32] You can enjoy...

[02:50:34] Your own...

[02:50:35] Loneliness...

[02:50:40] But...

[02:50:41] You still need...

[02:50:42] People...

[02:50:45] No man is...

[02:50:46] An island...

[02:50:47] As J-Lo sang...

[02:50:49] Back in the day...

[02:50:52] J-Lo...

[02:50:53] She also sings this...

[02:50:55] She also wrote this...

[02:50:56] Very epic...

[02:50:58] A song...

[02:51:00] Called...

[02:51:01] The Sound of Silence...

[02:51:05] So...

[02:51:06] When saying this...

[02:51:07] I need to remind you...

[02:51:08] If you're a new sleepy...

[02:51:10] You need to...

[02:51:11] Be remembered...

[02:51:13] You need to...

[02:51:14] You need to remember...

[02:51:16] That...

[02:51:17] Nothing I say in this podcast...

[02:51:19] Is necessarily true...

[02:51:21] Some things are true...

[02:51:23] But...

[02:51:25] Most of it is not...

[02:51:28] So maybe J-Lo wrote...

[02:51:30] The Sound of Silence...

[02:51:32] By Simon and Garfunkel...

[02:51:34] In some other universe...

[02:51:36] You don't know...

[02:51:42] So this was a story...

[02:51:46] Maybe it's not finished yet...

[02:51:47] Maybe...

[02:51:48] Okay...

[02:51:49] So Billy...

[02:51:50] Became old...

[02:51:50] And he...

[02:51:51] He never retired...

[02:51:52] Because...

[02:51:53] Who would want to retire...

[02:51:54] When you do something you like?

[02:51:56] I actually think...

[02:51:58] That myself...

[02:51:59] I don't think I will ever retire...

[02:52:00] And just sit down...

[02:52:02] And do nothing...

[02:52:03] Or just do gardening...

[02:52:04] Or whatever...

[02:52:06] I...

[02:52:07] Think I will...

[02:52:09] Work for my...

[02:52:10] Entire life...

[02:52:12] If I can...

[02:52:14] And are able to...

[02:52:17] I can't...

[02:52:18] Think of anything worse...

[02:52:19] Than just...

[02:52:21] Stop...

[02:52:22] And just...

[02:52:24] Sitting on my ass...

[02:52:26] And...

[02:52:27] Smoke a pipe...

[02:52:28] Or...

[02:52:29] You know...

[02:52:30] Although it sounds appealing...

[02:52:36] But...

[02:52:36] I couldn't do it...

[02:52:39] I want to feel useful...

[02:52:41] I want to feel like I belong...

[02:52:45] I want to feel like I touch...

[02:52:47] And...

[02:52:48] I want to feel like...

[02:52:49] I am touched...

[02:52:52] And...

[02:52:52] I care so much about you...

[02:53:11] So...

[02:53:14] Eventually Billy...

[02:53:15] Passed away...

[02:53:16] And...

[02:53:18] Sarah mourned him...

[02:53:20] Of course...

[02:53:21] Because...

[02:53:22] He was her father...

[02:53:24] In all...

[02:53:25] Ways that matter...

[02:53:27] And...

[02:53:28] She kept the business going...

[02:53:32] She married...

[02:53:33] This woman called...

[02:53:38] Berica...

[02:53:40] So...

[02:53:41] Berica and Sarah...

[02:53:42] Took over the business...

[02:53:43] And...

[02:53:47] Also opened up a few...

[02:53:48] Other stores...

[02:53:50] From...

[02:53:51] Backlons...

[02:53:51] Furniture...

[02:53:52] In...

[02:53:53] Other parts...

[02:53:54] Of the country...

[02:53:55] And people...

[02:53:57] Tended to really love...

[02:53:58] What they made...

[02:54:00] Not just the cuckoo clocks...

[02:54:02] Because Berica's specialty...

[02:54:03] Was not cuckoo clocks...

[02:54:05] Berica's specialty was...

[02:54:07] All...

[02:54:08] Types of tables...

[02:54:09] And they were...

[02:54:11] Like...

[02:54:11] If you can imagine...

[02:54:13] Like the most beautiful table...

[02:54:14] You've ever seen...

[02:54:15] Just like that...

[02:54:16] But add some...

[02:54:18] So...

[02:54:19] It was...

[02:54:21] Brilliant...

[02:54:22] And...

[02:54:23] Empathic...

[02:54:24] I would say...

[02:54:25] Empathic designs...

[02:54:27] Designs that really...

[02:54:29] Saw the troubles...

[02:54:30] Of the human way...

[02:54:31] The humankind...

[02:54:33] You know...

[02:54:35] Oh God...

[02:54:36] It's like...

[02:54:37] You know...

[02:54:37] Think of a table...

[02:54:38] Sleepy...

[02:54:40] Sleepy...

[02:54:41] Sorry...

[02:54:41] Sorry for the slur...

[02:54:44] The slurring...

[02:54:46] But...

[02:54:47] So think of a table...

[02:54:48] And think of it as a place...

[02:54:50] Where you can put your...

[02:54:53] Weary mind...

[02:54:57] A table where you can put your...

[02:55:00] Heavy thoughts...

[02:55:03] So it gets easier for you...

[02:55:05] For a while...

[02:55:07] Of course you need to carry that...

[02:55:10] Eventually again...

[02:55:11] But you also need to rest...

[02:55:14] You also need to...

[02:55:15] Stop carrying for a while...

[02:55:22] I...

[02:55:23] Usually...

[02:55:24] Are very helped by...

[02:55:26] That image...

[02:55:28] That I put my...

[02:55:30] Troubles...

[02:55:31] And my...

[02:55:33] Heavy emotion...

[02:55:35] And my...

[02:55:36] Heavy mind...

[02:55:37] On this imaginary table...

[02:55:40] And doing so...

[02:55:43] Everything gets easier...

[02:55:47] So I usually do this...

[02:55:48] When I meditate...

[02:55:50] I think of my breathing...

[02:55:53] As this table...

[02:55:56] This...

[02:55:57] If you...

[02:55:58] If you're moving...

[02:55:59] Then you can put wheels...

[02:56:01] On your imaginary table...

[02:56:03] So that you can just...

[02:56:04] Drag the table with you...

[02:56:05] It becomes a cart...

[02:56:07] So...

[02:56:08] You don't have to leave the table...

[02:56:10] If you don't want to let go...

[02:56:12] Of your minds altogether...

[02:56:14] You can just...

[02:56:15] Put them on the table...

[02:56:16] For a while...

[02:56:19] You need to deal with them...

[02:56:21] Eventually...

[02:56:21] You need to do something...

[02:56:22] With them or about them...

[02:56:23] But you can't do something...

[02:56:25] With them all the time...

[02:56:26] And then they can be there...

[02:56:27] On the table...

[02:56:28] Just for a while...

[02:56:29] And you can drag the table...

[02:56:31] Along with you...

[02:56:32] Or you can just leave it there...

[02:56:33] And stand still...

[02:56:37] That really helps me...

[02:56:41] Whenever I...

[02:56:42] Catch the thought...

[02:56:44] And make it an actionable thing...

[02:56:46] In my mind...

[02:56:50] So tables...

[02:56:52] Are a good commodity...

[02:56:55] If I...

[02:56:56] Were to change careers...

[02:56:59] I would...

[02:57:01] Make a living...

[02:57:02] As an expert in table building...

[02:57:07] I mean it's...

[02:57:08] Easy enough to...

[02:57:09] To conceive of...

[02:57:11] The idea of building a table...

[02:57:12] It's just four legs...

[02:57:14] Or maybe one leg...

[02:57:15] Or two legs...

[02:57:16] It doesn't matter...

[02:57:17] 58...

[02:57:18] Legs if you want...

[02:57:20] And this surface...

[02:57:22] That you can put stuff on...

[02:57:28] I am a table...

[02:57:32] Right now...

[02:57:33] I am your table...

[02:57:34] Sleepy...

[02:57:35] To put your weary mind on...

[02:57:38] It doesn't matter...

[02:57:39] That I can't hear you...

[02:57:41] It doesn't matter...

[02:57:42] That I can't...

[02:57:43] See your thoughts...

[02:57:45] And your mind...

[02:57:48] It doesn't matter...

[02:57:49] What matters is that...

[02:57:51] I'm here...

[02:57:52] You can put it on me...

[02:57:53] You can put your mind on me...

[02:57:55] This...

[02:57:56] This...

[02:57:57] This...

[02:57:57] This...

[02:57:58] Moment...

[02:58:02] That's a function...

[02:58:05] Not a service...

[02:58:06] It's a function...

[02:58:08] It's a fact...

[02:58:10] Not a want...

[02:58:14] It is what it is...

[02:58:17] What happens...

[02:58:18] Happens...

[02:58:21] And right now...

[02:58:22] There is nothing we can do...

[02:58:27] And so...

[02:58:28] I just concluded my first...

[02:58:31] Ever...

[02:58:32] Story...

[02:58:32] In an English...

[02:58:33] Podcast episode...

[02:58:35] What did you think?

[02:58:37] Was it...

[02:58:37] Okay?

[02:58:39] Did it do anything for you?

[02:58:41] Or was it like...

[02:58:43] No...

[02:58:44] Please go back...

[02:58:44] Talking about...

[02:58:45] Only you and your week...

[02:58:47] And stuff...

[02:58:49] I can say this much...

[02:58:50] It helps me a lot...

[02:58:51] It helps me...

[02:58:55] Because of course...

[02:58:57] Everything is from me...

[02:58:59] And about me anyway...

[02:59:00] And...

[02:59:04] I pour from...

[02:59:06] What's going on...

[02:59:07] Within me...

[02:59:09] And...

[02:59:10] It's in...

[02:59:11] Sort of a weird way...

[02:59:13] Therapy for me...

[02:59:18] Because I had a rough week...

[02:59:22] And...

[02:59:26] This...

[02:59:28] This feels like a very good...

[02:59:30] Conclusion...

[02:59:38] Sleepy...

[02:59:39] I hope that...

[02:59:40] Wherever you are...

[02:59:41] You are okay...

[02:59:43] I hope you are alright...

[02:59:46] I hope you feel confident enough to...

[02:59:50] Express what you need and what you want...

[02:59:53] To the people that's close to you...

[02:59:57] I hope that you...

[03:00:01] Feel...

[03:00:01] Entitled and...

[03:00:04] Loved and...

[03:00:06] Listened to...

[03:00:09] I hope that you feel...

[03:00:14] Inspired...

[03:00:18] And...

[03:00:18] Promised...

[03:00:21] And...

[03:00:22] Curious...

[03:00:27] I hope that the stream...

[03:00:29] That...

[03:00:30] Runs through you...

[03:00:32] Feels...

[03:00:33] Warm and...

[03:00:35] Pure...

[03:00:36] And that's...

[03:00:37] Fuzzy...

[03:00:38] I know...

[03:00:38] It's a very fluffy way of...

[03:00:42] Expressing...

[03:00:43] Myself...

[03:00:44] But it's...

[03:00:45] Also...

[03:00:46] It's a sense...

[03:00:46] It's a real sense...

[03:00:48] I often have that sense that...

[03:00:49] It's a stream going through me...

[03:00:51] And sometimes that stream is...

[03:00:53] Very rippled and...

[03:00:55] Chaotic...

[03:00:57] And sometimes...

[03:00:58] It's just the...

[03:01:00] The river Nile...

[03:01:01] You know...

[03:01:01] At this...

[03:01:03] Calm...

[03:01:07] Peaceful...

[03:01:08] Clear...

[03:01:08] Junctions...

[03:01:13] So thank you for being here...

[03:01:15] Again...

[03:01:18] I didn't prepare...

[03:01:20] So...

[03:01:21] This is what it is...

[03:01:23] If you like what I do...

[03:01:26] Please come back...

[03:01:27] I'm growing...

[03:01:29] This podcast is growing...

[03:01:31] And...

[03:01:32] I would like it...

[03:01:33] To be a thing...

[03:01:35] In the future...

[03:01:39] I love you...

[03:01:41] Sleep tight...

[03:01:43] And...

[03:01:44] Goodnight sleepy...

[03:01:45] Wherever...

[03:01:46] You might...

[03:01:47] Be...
